Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Sunbury - Columbus North

Understaffed. There was rarely anyone behind the front desk. I stayed on the second floor, which reeked of an unidentifiable foul odor. The pool was out of order and the card unlock on the side door I used didn't work. Also, the breakfast either had very few options or was non-existent every morning. That being said, I was thankful that the sheets in my room were clean.

The hotel was very dirty and smelled bad

On par for the brand I guess. Missing toilet paper holder in bathroom. Only 2 lights in the room - one at the entrance and one bedside so it is pretty dark in the room. Our TV didn't work when we arrived - front desk clerk came and changed the setting so it would work. Once she fixed it the main issue was there was a grid of light dots on the television screen that went from top to bottom side to side and showed up anything we watched. We noticed when the television wasn't working that same grid was present with the LG logo bouncing around the screen. That means those dots were 'burned' into the screen by someone leaving the tv on for extended periods of times while it wasn't working properly. We didn't use the breakfast but would have it there were some hard boiled eggs - no protein at all on the breakfast. Fine if all you want is sugary carbs. The location could not be beat - close to Delaware, Columbus, etc and easy on/off the interstate. Property itself is fairly well maintained.

I would avoid staying at this place. The staff was rude. When we came in, they did not seem welcoming. When we checked in, our bed had hair all over the blankets and sheets. We asked for new blankets, and they told us we would have to put them on, because they have housekeeping who does that and the house keepers where not there. We talked about maybe finding another hotel and the staff person said, there is 2 concerts in town that night so there would be no more rooms in the area. We got the new sheets and blankets and they were too small. We had to go back downstairs(no elevator) to get new blankets and sheets. We told them what they gave us was too small. They gave us another set after a 5 minute wait. We got the new set, and they were too small as well. We were so tired, we just layed them on top of the bed. The extra top lock was broken off. The cabinet had cardboard underneath it to balance the piece of furniture. Someone previously left an eye lash tool on the table. Some of the towels had food particles/stains on them. The shower slide door would not stay shut. Don't stay here!

Great service and a clean room! Very comfortable bed!
