WoodSpring Suites Libertyville - Chicago

We reserved for a graduation. We didnt get in until 7 at night, clerk up front was not so nice. They are pet friendly, but also people using it as extended stay. There was no toilet paper in room and when we went downstairs after leaving to get supper, they were closed up for the night, literally. Thank goodness i travel with baby wipes. It does have kitchenette, but no utinesils, it was a bare necessity room. Beds were not comfy at all.

Plenty of parking space. Front desk staff very nice and polite. Room clean.

No iron, no blow dryer, no ironing board, super thin toilet paper, no dishware. Just lacking lots of useful necessities for a hotel

It was a nice new building, but the beds were very uncomfortable, cheapest mattress ive ever slept on, i thought i was at camp. The bed frame i thought was going to break when doing adult things. No ice machine. You could hear right through the walls.

For what i paid anight i expected better. No curtains to block the bright parking lott lights. Microwave didnt work. Had to pay for the terrible wifi if more that 2 people needed it. The place smelled disgusting. They gave us 2 towles for 3 people and if you needed more you had to take the others to them and they would give you two new ones. The blankets on the bed where more like sheets. I have stayed at a lot of hotels and this one is right up there with the worst. I would never recommend this place

The hotel opened just a couple of days ago. This brand is part of the Extended Stay America chain, so basically all of them are the same. The staff at the front were very helpful and nice, now if you are checking in after 10:30 pm, please be advised that there's nobody at the front desk and you are going to have to use the phone located at the entrance to check in. The rooms are good, the beds are very comfortable, and you will have a kitchenette in your room, so if you want to cook something, make sure that you bring your cookware with you because they don't provide you with anything. There are plenty of stores nearby (like 7 to 15 minutes, depending on where you want to go). The area around the hotel is very quiet, and even though the hotel is close to a main avenue, you won't have problems with the sounds from outside.

No breakfast in the morning here, no iron board, no coffee pot, no coffee, no tea etc.

I booked 2 nights. Only stayed 1 and left. Didn’t get my money back. My friends came an hour early for check in, the women wouldn’t let them use the lobby bathroom, or even wait in the lobby before check in. She said they were trespassing… but they had reservations! Their tv’s were broken. My room smelled like animals and bleach, there was one small shampoo that was half empty, not even enough for a small child. It’s a suite with no utensil, plates, cooking supplies. Nothing. No ice machine or ice trays in entire hotel. Dogs were barking all night, you can hear the neighbors whole conversations and a pin drop from the floor upstairs. This place is garbage but the worst part was the rude front desk staff…. Absolute zero hospitality skills. Don’t waste your time or money.

When you walk thru the door, you had to have someone open the door to get into the lobby. Alittle odd. The place smelled like weed in many places. No coffee maker in room. No cream for coffee in the lobby.

I didn't realize going into this that the property was completely self service, no room cleaning, no towel exchange, no linens, unless you are there for over two weeks. One front desk staff member was friendly, however the rest just seem inconvenienced by everyone. The floor to our room was dirty enough that when you would get out of the shower, your feet were already visibly dirty again by the time you walked from the shower to the vanity area. I brought this up requesting the floor be cleaned, and I was advised that I would have to pay to have the floor cleaned. Same issue with the towels, 2 towels only go so far. If I wanted to have them exchanged, it would be a fee. If I wanted to exchange linens and make my own bed after 3 nights there, it would be a fee. The place smells absolutely terrible. I can't stress this enough. As soon as you go thru the lobby (which smells fine), the smell hits you like a ton of bricks. All of our clothes got washed when we got home, clean or dirty, as the smell of that place was absolutely disgusting. The bed's were uncomfortable to say the least. I've never seen such cheapness with a hotel before. They didn't have bed springs, it was just a metal frame and a mattress. Needless to say, it doesn't really work well like that. No bathroom soap, one roll of Scott one-ply toilet paper, two towels, and one floor mat. Anything else, you have to pay for. The rate was more than hotels in the area that are actually hotels, go there.

Beds were so cheap they creaked with every turn. Noisy hallway with people congregating at the doorways. Playing music all night long and somebody alarm was going off from 3am-7am. Probably one of the very worst hotels I’ve ever stayed at

I could not find the phone in the lobby for after hours check-in, because there was no phone in the lobby. It was in the vestibule, which was dark so I overlooked it. Had to call the property on my cell phone for someone to check me in. Very frustrating after a long day of travel. Also, I didn't notice until the morning after but there were old looking dried blood spots on the pillowcase I slept on that did not come from my body.

Front desk was really kind, suite was affordable and so clean and new. Definitely will be coming back.

The facility is new, opened in June and is not clean. I believe that the cleaning crew do not know how to clean or do not care. This is the 2nd time I have stayed at one and I had to bring my own cleaning products for the counters and floor. The sheets and towels are good and clean and the kitchen area is clean. If they could make an attempt, this hotel could be very good.

Very nice place and very secure, however, very, very noisy. Take ear plugs and a sound machine to block out noise or you will never get any sleep. Staff was amazing and friendly and the self serve coffee so worth it. Convenient and a good price. Highly recommend.

One person working at the front desk, room wasn’t ready, she kept on leaving to see if the room Was ready, when it was already passed my check in time. They couldn’t fine my reservation, and when they did my room still wasn’t ready and this was like 330. They had to move me to a different room, and not to mention the bed made a some much noise it was very hard stay comfortable.

I don't have anything bad to say about the hotel itself since it's a recently built new building, but I think the construction company could have invested more money making more solid or thicker walls... unfortunately it wasn't like that and you can hear everything even breathing of the people in the next room… it was a bad experience in the sense that no matter how hard we tried to sleep, the noise from the neighbors woke us up … definitely we won’t reserve a room here anymore.

Beds were very uncomfortable. Pillows as well - and not enough of them. Blankets were very thin and poor quality. Not enough towels for all of us and the desk wasn't staffed long enough for us to even request more. The bathtub was missing the drain stopper so my kids couldn't take a bath. The TV was small and you couldn't stream from it to cast to it.

I stayed here visiting my son who is in Navy A School at the Great Lakes. This place is convenient to the base and other amenities. It has a friendly staff, coffee, & is safe. The rooms are fine. It’s an extended stay place, so it has the kitchenette. But the walls are thin. You can hear everything happening in the halls, outside, & your neighbor’s alarm clock at 4 am that they don’t want to turn off. There is no breakfast, but there is a vending machine. I didn’t hate it, and it wasn’t bad for the price. Just may bring ear plugs or a sound machine next time.

LIKES: comfortable bed; adequate storage; good kitchenette; friendly desk staff DISLIKES: Extraordinarily noisy, in that footsteps were easily heard, as were discussions, as was the guy snoring in the room above mine; you could hear everything your neighbors were doing; there was no safe walking in the area

Good no frills hotel! Staff was wonderful…I did read the reviews and the one thing I’d agree with is the paper thin walls and guests had music on late.

The place was clean and the staff were all nice and friendly and helpful. My only issue was a lack of locations to sit outside of the building. A bench or two would help. Thanks!

Friendly staff, easy check in.

First my reservation didnt populate and the hotel staff, was very rude in her approach looking for it! I had literally just driven 12 hours and wasnt in the mood for someone elses off day to be sprung upon me. When i asked it there were any rooms,she blatantly lied.. i stood there and made another resevation while standing at the desk🙄. ALSO tye room wasn't ready ( at 7 pm) so inhad to wait an additional 30 plus minute's. Thecehole experience was horrible

Couldn't check into hotel had to sleep outside hotel. Front desk closed at 10pm, never in my life have I ever heard of that. So I basically got scammed out a night.

It took over an hour to check in shortly after the 3 pm check in time. This appeared to be primarilly because the single clerk at the desk was not properly trained on check in proceedures on the computer and because, untill almost 4:15 pm there was only one clerk working the front desk.

The young lady Kayla was very nice and she was very helpful during my whole 3 day stay.

My "stay" was a terrible experience, by far the worst I have ever had with a hotel in almost forty years of travel. I arrived after a five-hour drive, called the front desk from the lobby for a late check-in, and was then hung up on - twice. As a result, I was forced to locate other accommodations at midnight, ahead of a business meeting the next day. Imagine if you were traveling with your family and this had happened, or that you needed some other assistance from the front desk over the course of the night. I would avoid this hotel at all costs.

20 min wait for check in, no genuine apology, just slow/reluctant check ins. Questionable characters in/around the hotel. Some guests, some not. Looks nice on the outside, rooms were clean, but overall this hotel delivered the bare minimum, if that. Recommend booking elsewhere unless this is your only option.

the area was very quiet, peaceful. staff was very nice, hotel was comfortable, and quiet. hotel was in a secluded area, definitely enjoyed my stay and will come back to stay again in the future.

The staff was far from friendly and if you want to coffee , you better make sure you were there before they unplugged the machine at exactly 10:00am. It seems this hotel full of People that are there for a month plus and maybe this is not the right accommodations for that but it inexpensive

It took the pair almost 20min to come down to the desk. It sounded like I woke them up when we called and inconvenienced them. The area was decently clean. There were NO DISHES OR ANYTHING in the kitchen area for you to cook with. I hoe you like air for dinner. The fans were not the greatest. The bathroom had an automatic light that turned on every time you walked in there, blinding you while you were trying to go at night and still stay half asleep. Very disappointed with this stay. It is safe to say that I will not be returning to this sketchy area or horrible hotel. I could also smell marijuana throughout the hallways. If you like loud neighbors and worse than average SoundCloud artists blasting their music, this is the place for you.

If you are staying less than 7 days they wont give you any clean towels or blankets, the water in the shower comes out so fast it actually hurts, and the front desk people are obviously sneaking off to sleep because they are rarely around. Free coffee in the lobby but not a utensil or cup in sight. They allow dogs so be aware, youre neighbor could be barking.
