Beautiful and Tranquil Cherry Grove Beach

Stay was great....elevator was not working

There was no parking because the renovations being done, the contractor had material in most of the parking places, and the other half roped off. We were a group of elderly ladies, the people in the other condos were noisy after 11pm, there should be a curfew on that, sorry but some of us like to sleep. The add needs to state that you have to cross the very busy street to get to the ocean, not its 600 feet from the beach. The dryer vent in our unit was broken so we couldnt use the dryer.

The VRBO property was ok - best feature was the view. The furniture was functional but a bit worn and old. The TVs did not permit us to attach our Firestick as it was not possible to change input channels. The dryer was noisy and did not dry. The microwave turntable did not turn. The kitchen was very poorly appointed - not even salt or pepper wa available in kitchen, let alone paper products. Even the can opener provided was in poor shape. However the WiFi was good. We were supposed to get a code to open the door on checkin day at 4 PM, but it never came (I checked my spam and junk files) so we had to call the emergency number to get it.Overall Ok for the 2 week stay - but surely toilet paper could've been provided?

Building is moldy, carpets in hallways and balcony of unit dirty. Pool area moldy and pool itself not clean. Rotten food under stairwell by elevator and elevator rusty on the outside and inside very dirty with a foul smell. Still waiting for the owner to respond to our complaints regarding the uncleanliness of the building.

The condo was perfectly situated with the pathway to the beach. The fact of the elevator made it so much easier to get our luggage up three floors. The availability of the parking was safe and easy.The only negative was that the furniture (sofa and two recliners were very dated. They also had many worn areas in all three pieces. I didn’t report this because I knew it wasn’t something that could be easily correct, but they were functional. Overall, the condo was functional, but I wouldn’t rent that particular unit again.

Perfect location n Cherry Grove! Walk to grocery, ice cream & beach. Excellent ocean view & good size balcony. Always like Cherry Grove. Best part for 3rd story was elevator- hard to find, also covered parking! Will be back. Neat, clean, view & all great. Thanks : )

My sister and I took a trip to Myrtle for bike week festival . The location of this place was amazing. Spot on . It was quiet , cozy. The pics online looked just like it did online. Everything you needed was right there . We could see the beach and the view was beautiful . BUT the elevator was broken for the first three days of our stay. So we had to tote all our belongings up to the top floor . Other than that we enjoyed our stay

The communication was very good and everyone was helpful. I highly recommend staying at this property. The elevator is a huge plus. The view from our balcony was great, loved having my morning coffee there.

Overall we had a great time. Easy access to the beach and local shops, etc in both Cherry Grove and North Myrtle. Its a quick and easy drive to Myrtle Beach as well. The condo met our needs for a quick family getaway. There was an issue with a wobbly toilet. One call and maintenance dropped by while we were out for dinner. We appreciated the quick response. With a stay mid Sept, we had the condo's outdoor pool to ourselves each afternoon. I'd recommend an upgrade to the mattresses (very firm), replacing the washer/dryer in unit (both were loud, but worked), and updating the living room furniture (not sure there's enough life in them for another season). None of those things kept us from enjoying our stay.

Overall, the condo was good, in need of some updates.. Needs a new washer and dryer as both were incredibly noisy and the dryer required a least 2 cycles to dry clothing/towels. Besides that, everything was great. Great location! We would definitely come back!

I knew the area because we have stayed at Cherry Grove many times. I had looked for oceanfront, so didn't realize for a while that it was 2nd row, but that was ok, we had a good view of the ocean. The worst thing of all - and only bad thing - was gnats, LOTS of them. My husband killed at least 200, he was putting them in a row on the sliding glass door - there were still a few flying around when we left. I don't know if the people before us left food out, or if the dishwasher holds dirty water because they flew out of there. I ran the dishwasher, but I never opened it again. Other than that, we had an awesome time, and actually, that didn't keep us from having an awesome time, just got to practice swatting.

Clean condo and great location. View of ocean was perfect. Only issue was the garbage disposal had a horrible odor. We did not use it but my husband finally found the origin of the smell. Someone prior to our stay had put fish skin in it. He got it out but it was at the end of our stay. Other than that, it was a great place to stay.

We have stayed in this condo three times now. Love the location and the ocean view. The furniture is comfortable. My only recommendation is that the clothes dryer needs to be updated. It is too loud and takes too long to dry clothes. Other than that, we love staying here and highly recommend it.

Location was as expected, we have been a few building further north on ocean before so we knew the area. Rooms met expectations. Kitchen was not as expected...not a full set of silverware for max capacity, let alone two. Many plastic forks were there. Did not report, but hand mixer and a spatula both needed to be replaced. Only was using the mixer one time, so did not call for replacement during our stay. Nothing owners can do with 4th floor people, but everyday it sounded like they moved furniture around for several hours. Not much sound dampening between floors. Overall, good week...just a few things that made it less than great.

my adventure began when I was informed at 11am on 5-10-2024 (Saturday) that the unit I contracted for was not available. I was already 4-5 hours away from my home enroute to Myrtle Beach from Pa. I was then offered a studio apartment or a one bedroom unit, etc. I immediately started raising hell with the ocean breeze customer rep. because she obviously did not have a clue as to how many people were with my party, etc. I was then offered a stay in a local hotel but I had to pay because I did not take proof of purchase/ any of the receipts they showed the vacation was paid in full with me while I traveled, etc. any how this nitemare went on until 8pm ish on Saturday nite when I was informed that I can stay at the original unit but I could not use the deck/ balcony, etc. The ocean breeze customer service rep sucked and did not offer to tell me the office location or mention that I could stay at the unit, etc. it was another ocean breeze customer service rep. at 8pm told my grandson that we could stay at the original unit but we couldn't use the balcony/ deck some four hours after this ordeal started. Thus aI had construction workers working on the deck of the unit I contracted to use 2 of the four days we were in Myrtle Beach. How does that make you feel that you are going on vacation and there are two carpenters I requested partition refund but ocean breeze refused, etc. anyhow the entire experience and dealing with ocean breeze sucked ass.

The property was clean and nice. Easy communication and check in/out. Only disappointing was the lack of items stocked. No skillet, no soap, or paper towels, toilet paper... the basics you had to provide your own. And to have the beds made was an extra charge. Otherwise it was great.

It was unbearable, we got a room at la Quinta for 2 nights. Water got fixed Saturday and we left Monday. Nobody seemed to care at ocean breeze or offer any refund, discount or to be moved.

Great location, across the street from the beach. It was very close to grocery stores, and local dining. Washer and dryer in unit saved the day! Unit could be updated, but overall, would recommend.

3rd time staying there. Close to stores and restaurants(Blocks). Nice view of the beach even if partly obstructed. Open if small kitchen. Could use a bigger TV and a Smart TV at that.
