Via Mare Luxury Rooms

No signage for location hard to find on arrival. Hot tub not operational. Automated door entry system unreliable. Area around building very dirty and unkept. Building management difficult to contact, not on site. Fridge in room is only for storage not cooling. Pictures of hot tub and patio area taken so as to not show the unkept dirty areas around and in the view. This is not a luxury room or location and I would not recommend staying there.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Location is great if you are interested in beach access. Our kids loves the hot tubs.

Lovely room with own whirlpool outside with spectular seaview. Close to old town and restaurants. If you like to stay close to bars and restaurants and the sea, first choice. Very warm welcome drom the team.

Hvis man klarer å se bort ifra at dette er rom i en gammel restaurant så blir oppholdet bra. God air.con. Boblebadet kunne ikke brukes pga for lite vann. Lydtette rom slik at man faktisk ikke hører støy fra barer. Fin utsikt og rett på bryggen der alle bader. Flere ok frokost restauranter utenfor døren. Grei spasertur til gamlebyen. Dyrt i forhold til hva du får.

We have just returned from 4 nights staying here, and had a fantastic break. It was important to us to have an outdoor space where we could relax before heading out each day to explore the area. We booked a room with terrace and hot tub which worked perfectly for us. The room was adequately equipped, we could suggest having a hook somewhere to hang our coats/jackets but other than that it had everything we needed. The hosts at the property were so welcoming and helpful, and always on hand if you needed anything. The beds were comfortable, we slept well. The accommodation is in a great area, where you can walk along the coast and into the old town/Riva with ease.

Really disappointed with our stay. Booked a premium room for two nights to stay with the outside terrace and hot tub outside. Please if this is your reason for booking, save your money and look elsewhere. Hot tubs were freezing and all had error codes (there was no one else staying so they said we could try the others) all had heating malfunctions of which they lied to hotels.com after numerous messages between myself and the hotel. Massive waste of my time and money. Save yourself a decent amount of money by booking a hotel in the old town as there’s lots of charming historical bars and restaurants there. Area is quite run down and above a club so I’m glad we weren’t there on a weekend. They also said they would change the PIN number for entrance but my message for this was ignored and used a code that is predictable.

The property was great! We were there for 9 days and everyday we were greeted. The rooms were clean and while smaller had a large feeling. Very cute decor and we will be back.

We had an extremely horrible experience, from start to finish! We have stayed in many hotels around the world and never had to leave a room/hotel early due to substandard living conditions.This place is far from luxurious as advertised. We booked for 7 nights and only stayed 2, and were left with no option but to walk out due to Health and Safety reasons. Prior to booking the room we were not told that there will be 1 of 5 beach bars 10 meters away from the room we were staying in. We were supplied complimentary ear plugs by Via Mare and even sleeping with them made no difference to the pumping music until 5am! The second main issue was with the raw sewage smell that come from the bathroom, it was more intense during the night but was present the whole time. The bathroom door could not be shut because it was broken and bathroom ventilator fan was working but not extracting any smell. The place is very difficult to locate, it took us 2 hours to find, there is no signage or proper direction. Fridge/mini bar did not work and TV as well. Eventually, after chasing the problem the TV was fixed. No space to put the luggage, very limited adequate cupboard space. Rubbish outside the window and ants in the room. Very poor wi-fi signal and 2 single beds joined together but was advertised with queen bed. Antonio was very difficult to deal with as he did not like to be seen, he only wanted to communicate via txt.Maja was ok but when things got difficult she said she was just a laborer

After consulting with the owner he flat out denied it and responded with 'if you would like to leave feel free'! This was after pointing out that other people had posted about this. The area was noisy as it's a party area that's 24/7. They claim that the rooms are sound proof - this is not true! We were woken at all hours by party goers and people entering the property! Our room was positioned near the external staircase so we couldn't have our window open due to privacy. The hot water did not work! Freezing showers! Heated floors as advertised were not heated! The fridge was barely cool! Teacups and kettle were provided but no tea or coffee! Unfortunately we did not have a great experience due to location and accommodation.

Loved the communication and helpfulness of staff. Very cute and clean. However, there was an overwhelming smell of cat spray/urine in all the rooms coming through the vent ducts.

The location is about a 10-15 minute walk from the dock and main part of town. Tucked away in a shopping/dining area. It is a hidden gem! Decor was great, very clean, staff was super friendly and accommodating. Price was very reasonable for what you get. Highly recommend.

Antonio and Maja were great! They were so accommodating with our requests for early check ins and later check outs. The room was clean and the proximity to Bacvice beach and restaurants was perfect.

The cafes are just below, so easy to get a drink & food. We walked to old town only 15min away. The staff are amazing at Via Mare!. Can not talk highly enough of them. The cleaners care & make a great effort. The management was there & had a lovely chat about the area. Thank you again for a great stay. Would stay here again.

There is a loud noise coming from the bar that is preventing us from sleeping till 2:30AM.

The property is too boxy, not much room in the bedroom, the shower has no door, so every time when we get a shower, the water comes out and flooded the floor. As per check out instructions, check out by 11 am, we packed our luggage, and told the lady who manage the place that we were going for quick breakfast at 1008, we came back at 1045, the code change for the door and our bedroom. The outdoor areas is not as nice as it advertised. The location is convenient, it is close to the beach.

Lots of stairs to property. Very small room. No where to put a suitcase. Room needed repairs. Patched paint on walls, baseboards falling off, shower didn’t work properly, cracked drywall! There was a kettle two cups but nothing to make coffee or tea. Think this accommodation is more for young people who want to party in the summer therefore the property reflects it. This property is by no means luxury as the name suggests! Positive note you are on the water and the manager was wonderful! He found us a room at one of the property owners other locations closer to the old city in Split.

The toilet sprayed all over the floor when flushing making it slippery in the bathroom. The property was extremely loud at night. There was no control by the hotel of who was coming and going all night at the hotel. Every time the front door opened it caused our door to slam. I will never stay in that location again. It was an awful experience, none of us slept. For the price of the hotel room, extremely disappointing.

Pls be aware to not stay at this place. There is nothing luxury abt it. We walked in and checked out in 5 min. Its right next to a cocktail bar which makes it extremely unsafe with kids. The guy operating the place is the rudest human I’ve ever come across.

The location was perfect, just outside split city center with a lovely beach 5 minutes walk away. Ivan was the person that helped us check in and he went the extra mile to make sure we had a comfortable and relaxing stay. I would strongly recommend Via Mare Luxury Rooms to anyone wanting to visit split and the surrounding area.

Our experience was terrible, here the reasons: 1. Locks are with code and someone tried to open our door at 6am in the morning 2. We had to leave the place and spend the second night and pay for another hotel, they agreed on giving our money back for the night we had to go, and that didn’t happened, they kept our money 3. Beds are hard and uncomfortable 4. There is a lot of noice outside and drunk people, a bar is next door 5. To get to the ocean you need to go out of the property, there is no direct access as the images suggest 6. No privacy in the jacuzzi, they are one next to each other 7. There where trousers and underwear from other rooms in our balcony
