You paid what you get. We just needed to find a place to stay a night after a long drive. The hotel and its facilities was old, but the cleanliness of our room was acceptable. The room had the very basic items. It had a refrigerator and a micorwave, which was good to me. We stayed on the 2nd floor. The side doors of the hallway were not locked, which I felt not safe.

This motel delivers exactly what you’d hope for at a budget price point. While it’s not luxurious, it covers all the essentials extremely well. The room was thoughtfully furnished and included a fridge with a small freezer compartment. Everything was spotless, and the beds were exceptionally comfortable. Parking right outside the door made things very convenient. Despite being right off the highway, the room was completely quiet with no traffic noise. The WiFi and cable TV worked flawlessly, and the air conditioning kept the room cool without being noisy. The 24-hour coffee was a welcome bonus. All of this came at a very affordable rate.

Other than poor wi-fi reception in our room, and the lack of a coffee machine in the room (although free coffee is easily available in the check-in lobby), we had no problems or issues here. It is a Motel 6, and not a luxury hotel, of course, but for a Motel 6 things were fine. Staff was friendly. Would have no problem staying here again.

The motel is conveniently situated by the highway. There’s no elevator, so one needs to be mobile. The motel allows pets so allergies can be a problem. I’m not sure whether it was a disinfectant or cleaning agent scent that gave me a headache. Not bad for the price though.

It was absolutely filthy. Dead bugs on the floor and behind the bed. The sheets had hair on them from someone else that slept there previously. The room smelled like cigarettes.

I was given a room with a bed that had been laid in, the cover was messy as if it wasnt cleaned. Trash was in the bathroom and bedroom. Dirty towels on the floor. I called them and the guy tried to convince me jt was alright. He eventually gave me another room. That room was clean and the the lady cleaner was very kind. It was good for the price and they seemed sorta busy.

Enjoyed some cute unique shops in the area, amazed at the quantity of flea markets and outdoor antique stores going to Mt. Airy. Did not like the unclean floors at the motel. Need to be more conscientious of cleanliness, and not only replacing the used linen.

This was just a stop and sleep for a few hours place didn’t need anything fancy but this was AWFUL! Did not feel safe! signs everywhere about them not being responsible for stolen stuff so on.. then to get to the room and it does not have the metal door stopper it was completely ripped off so had to count on just a deadbolt.. The guy who checked us in was not easy to understand and kept burping (no excuse me or trying to cover his mouth nothing!!))and he kept getting confused… we booked a King non smoking room he said he did not have any available ended up getting a double queen room that looks like it should of been out of order… the flooring was full out missing in some spots and just laying on top of subfloor in other places.. the room smelled moldy and everything was just in a state of disarray… like I said we only needed to sleep a couple hours and the bed seemed ok… so we slept… went to check out no one to be found which I wanted to mention about how bad the room was and make sure they were aware of everything but after 10 ish minutes waiting and ringing the bell I put key down and left.. honestly you don’t expect much from a motel 6 but I would not recommend this to anyone.

For a property that was recently renovated, it was already falling apart and run down inside our unit. There were little bugs stuck to the caulking on the ceiling in the bathroom. The air quality was VERY bad. I strongly suspect mold. We did not see any bed bugs or roaches. The bathtub looked dirty, drain was full of patina and calcium deposits and the back of the bathroom door had what we're hoping was just ketchup smeared all over. The toilet paper roll holder had toilet paper stuck on the side. The mattresses were comfortable, though a few different types of hairs in the sheets and pillows. Maybe we just had a bad unit, but it was the worst motel we have stayed in. We filtered our search to 4 stars and up and sorted by price, so we do understand this is a budget hotel, but given the 4.1/5 ratings, we were horribly surprised by the results. We have stayed at budget hotels before, but never like this. I do not agree with its average reviews. Do keep in mind the few number of reviews in general. I will keep a close eye on the number of reviews made for future budget and review-friendly places.

We booked a room for 2 queen beds. The night we got there we were told they didn't have a room with 2 queen beds and we were put in separate rooms. My 17 year old kid wound up having to stay in a room by himself. The next day we were supposed to be given a room with two queen beds. The room they gave us was two double beds and they tried to convince us they were queen size beds. The room also had dirty towels in it and one of the beds wasn't made. When they finally gave us the correct room there were only towels for two people when we had booked the room for three people. We also made sure twice that the property was aware we had our dog with us and then acted put out when we showed up with our dog. The pictures on expedia do not really represent the room.

We ended up getting a refund. The room was very uncomfortable - there was cat hair on the beds, stains in the bathroom, and roaches on the floor. I hope they get the roach problem under control because that’s a massive dealbreaker. I know it’s a cheap place to stay, but find somewhere else if you’re worried about hygiene at all.

Easy parking. Check in manager only spoke when absolutely necessary, room was large, the bathroom was large. The toilet paper holder was hanging by one screw with holes from previous mount efforts. The TV remote wouldn't change channels, then TV wouldn't shut off.

It was just off the interstate 77. Beautiful area on top the mountain in Virginia. Very quiet. Couldn't hear the interstate traffic. Would stay there again

Had some issues as our Expedia reservation was not in their system! After 30 mins they agreed to give us a room until the reservation came through their system. They called me at 11pm after I went to bed to go to front desk once it did. Otherwise the rooms were clean and the motel was quiet!

The number posted online was incorrect/invalid. I attempted to call for early check in off my phone and girlfriend's phone to no avail. When I did get to the property, I inquired about changing the sheets because the housekeeping doesn't always change all the sheets at hotels/motels, and the manager looked super perplexed and didn't understand why I was asking for new sheets and called my request weird that I wouldn't take it at her word that the housekeeping always changed sheets. She gave us one additional sheet and nothing fitted, blanket, cover, etc. The room had a few moths flying around, thin walls, and the sink and tub struggled to drain the water efficiently.

We were in room 109 was 10:40 am before check out they gave another person a key to our room And we tried to speak with them and they didn’t understand how that could be a problem we could have lost everything This was a horrible experience

What I liked most about this Motel 6 was the gorgeous location, the friendly and welcoming staff, and the good quality sound-proofing (though it was near the highway and I had neighbors with many children in their party, I didn't hear any of it when I was in my room with the door closed.) I rested well and if I were passing through this area I would choose this location again.

This was sufficient for our needs. No in room coffee but a quick trip to the Dollar General around the corner provided instant and some creamer for morning. Don't be fooled by the "only" restaurant - Pit Stop - the food was very good. All in all a satisfactory one-night stay.
