Urban Hotel The Golden Stork

Clean room. However felt a bit like in a construction site with unfinished rooms, no ceiling or lights and two mismatched beds

The fridge and heater in my room didn’t work. Blankets smelt musky and a little of urine. The water went cold about 5 minutes into the shower and no matter how much I played with the temperature, it was ice cold. The keycard stopped working twice, had to get reception to fix it. Can’t really fault them for the guests that were loud, yelling and carrying on until 4am or whoever took my food from the kitchen, unfortunately just added to experience. Location was good, most of the staff were friendly.

The price was reasonable. I would stay again.

I was extremely disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The room was freezing cold, and there was no working heating available throughout my visit. Instead of fixing the issue, the only solution offered was giving me two duvets, which did little to make the room comfortable or warm enough to sleep properly. I only received a portable heater on my third night staying. On top of that, the cleanliness was unacceptable. The kettle provided in the room was mouldy, which made me question the overall hygiene standards of the hotel. Unfortunately, my experience was far below expectations, and I cannot recommend staying here. I will say that staff were nice and polite outwith dealing with these issues.

What can I say. It's cheap, but really, should it be this cold? And should the private bathroom be this smelly (of molds)? The receptionist was really helpfull and friendly though.
