The property was perfect for our stay. It sits adjacent to the busier Main Street where shops and restaurants are,,affording an escape to a well appointed and comfortable place to just relax. Everything you could want in the cupboard and well designed space to just enjoy. A really great stay- thank you!

Beautiful property conveniently located with off-street parking in central uptown Lewes. Short drive to Savannah Beach. Comfortable bed, upscale linens, A/C, smart tv & lots of amenities such as beach chairs & towels. The only disappointing part was leaving.

Just as pictured! Clean, extremely comfortable, and beautifully appointed. We really enjoyed our visit and loved being able to walk downtown. We were easily able to make dinner with the kitchen supplies. Being that we visited in the off season, we did not use the beach supplies, but they provide a closet full! The ONLY thing missing was some shower soap/body wash, but not a big deal. Love the idea you can also rent the adjoining suite next door for a larger group. Mary, the host, was very responsive. Will definitely stay again!

This property was perfect for those looking to enjoy everything Lewes has to offer. We have friends with houses on the beach so chose this location as a great option for me and my daughter to be central to downtown for the Fourth of July parade and dinner reservations - with a protected parking space. Having the washer dryer and full kitchen was very useful too. The air conditioning works great as well - which for anyone who has ever stayed in a property where the AC doesn’t work well…you know how important this is in the summer months!

The home is beautiful and so convenient to all that Lewes offers. Mary was great to communicate with and everything you could want in a rental was available. The furnishings are very stylish and comfortable. A private parking space was a bonus and made everything even more convenient. Top notch. 5+ stars.

Was exactly as advertised. Wonderful location, walking distance to restaurants, stores, etc. owner extremely responsive. Only suggestions would be a better lighted key pad, light switches in unit should be labeled and maybe more detailed instructions for heating/ ac units. Overall a wonderful stay in a comfortable well stocked apartment.

We thoroughly enjoyed another stay at the Forge! The location in historic Lewes is ideal for just parking the car and walking to the nearby restaurants, shops and even the beach. The reserved parking is super convenient and the property is fully and elegantly furnished. We stayed again in the suite and the studio was just perfect for in-laws.

My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our recent getaway to Preservation Forge Suite "A". Aside from being beautifully and tastefully decorated, it is only steps away from many of Lewes' fine restaurants and shops. Inside, the suite offers a fully-equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, 50" television, and one of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in! Staying here was a real treat, and I can see us coming back. I'll surely be adding this location to my short list of "go-to" places in the Lewes area.

We spent a week here during the summer - all the little details have been thought through- items for the beach (beach chairs, towels, umbrellas, etc) made our stay super easy. Also, the in unit finishes were amazing - lots of storage space, beautiful high ceilings which bring in lots of natural light. The beds were super comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked. Would definitely recommend staying here again

This apartment is beautifully decorated, ideally situated and lovely. It is the ideal space for a couple visiting Lewes.we had acouple of monir issues, with the trash not having been taken out and the dishwasher full, but the owner apologised and it was not a major issue.

We have rented many properties in many places over many years and this was the nicest one we’ve ever stayed in. Being immaculately clean was the starting point. The unit is very large- luxurious for 2 people! - and beautifully renovated by true craftspeople. The woodwork and iron work are stunning. The furniture, decor, linens and kitchen/dining supplies were all first rate, not the cheap stuff often found in rentals. Our host was very responsive and made sure we had no problem accessing the property. We are very familiar with Lewes and love this location. You are steps from everywhere you want to be in town. Beaches, trails and beautiful Henlopen State Park are minutes by bicycle via the miles of bike trails that converge in Lewes. I am already plotting a return visit.

My mom and I enjoyed a wonderful mother-daughter weekend at this beautiful condo. The lovely decor and gorgeous craftsmanship was so inviting, and the distance was perfect to walk to downtown shops, restaurants, and the beach. We can’t wait to return again next year!

We had a fantastic stay! The furniture and beds were comfortable, we took mental notes on how we want to renovate our place, and we will definitely be back. The owner was a great communicator and we loved the proximity to downtown. The suite was inviting and beautiful, well-appointed and clean. The bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve slept in, and having the blackout shades and solid construction made for ideal sleeping conditions. All in a fantastic location, quiet and close to so many great places - many park and beach options, restaurants, and shops. Highly recommend!

This property and the entire experience was perfect. We just completed a two week stay and this is probably the best vrbo experience we’ve had over several decades in lodgings all over the US. Starting with Mary, truly a Superhostess with the Mostess! And her team reflects her caring, thoughtful and friendly demeanor- thank you Ava, Mike, Ben and Christina for your help and local suggestions and recommendations! And thank you Ava for our delicious anniversary cake from Touch of Italy! A lovely and unexpected treat! My husband and I had a relaxing extended weekend at the suite in Lewes. I've had my eye on this place for awhile now and it didn't disappoint! We were there during the tropcial storm and it was such a cozy stay. We were steps from restaurants and shops which we were able to duck in and out of during the rain. The property was beautiful, well maintained, clean and check in/out was a breeze! We will definitely be back!

My partner and our adult child loved our stay in this lovely and well maintained apartment. It was roomy enough that we all felt private in the evenings. Everything is as described. Great location to enjoy Lewes proper. A hot but do-able walk to the beach, but easy enough to drive if you need or want to. Mary was quick to respond to a question I had. I really appreciated the very sane and not at all onerous check out tasks. Also: make sure to visit shop below. It's the retail space for the wood working business. There are many examples of their gorgeous work in the suite, and the gentleman on site when we visited was charming and full of great info.

We have rented many properties in many places over many years and this was the nicest one we’ve ever stayed in. Being immaculately clean was the starting point. The unit is very large- luxurious for 2 people! - and beautifully renovated by true craftspeople. The woodwork and iron work are stunning. The furniture, decor, linens and kitchen/dining supplies were all first rate, not the cheap stuff often found in rentals. Our host was very responsive and made sure we had no problem accessing the property. We are very familiar with Lewes and love this location. You are steps from everywhere you want to be in town. Beaches, trails and beautiful Henlopen State Park are minutes by bicycle via the miles of bike trails that converge in Lewes. I am already plotting a return visit.

Where do I start….from 1st communcation with Mary until we entered the suite just easy and awesome. Mary leaves no stone unturned in the suite. The suite has everything and anything you need at anytime. The suite is so nicely decorated and comfortable, Mary thinks of everything to make your stay remarkable. The convenience of everything near by is another reason that makes her place so great.Take my word you will have a wonderful time. Our 3rd or 4th stay at this property and it is always a pleasure.It is a beautiful space with a great island to work at or chat and a lovely living space But the real benefit is the location. So close to bike trails/restraints a shopping Grab it if it’s available you won’t be disappointed

Beautiful property conveniently located with off-street parking in central uptown Lewes. Short drive to Savannah Beach. Comfortable bed, upscale linens, A/C, smart tv & lots of amenities such as beach chairs & towels. The only disappointing part was leaving.

My mom and I enjoyed a wonderful mother-daughter weekend at this beautiful condo. The lovely decor and gorgeous craftsmanship was so inviting, and the distance was perfect to walk to downtown shops, restaurants, and the beach. We can’t wait to return again next year!

Outstanding property! Comfotable, clean, all the amenities of home, two minute walk to all the restaurants and shops in downtown Lewes and fifteen minute walk to Lewes Beach on the bay. Will definitely return to this property in the future.

The apartment is beautiful and comfortable. We walked to restaurants and enjoyed being in the historic district. Mary was responsive and communicative and made everything so easy! We plan to return for another stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed another stay at the Forge! The location in historic Lewes is ideal for just parking the car and walking to the nearby restaurants, shops and even the beach. The reserved parking is super convenient and the property is fully and elegantly furnished. We stayed again in the suite and the studio was just perfect for in-laws.

The property was perfect for our stay. It sits adjacent to the busier Main Street where shops and restaurants are,,affording an escape to a well appointed and comfortable place to just relax. Everything you could want in the cupboard and well designed space to just enjoy. A really great stay- thank you!

Just as pictured! Clean, extremely comfortable, and beautifully appointed. We really enjoyed our visit and loved being able to walk downtown. We were easily able to make dinner with the kitchen supplies. Being that we visited in the off season, we did not use the beach supplies, but they provide a closet full! The ONLY thing missing was some shower soap/body wash, but not a big deal. Love the idea you can also rent the adjoining suite next door for a larger group. Mary, the host, was very responsive. Will definitely stay again!

This property was perfect for those looking to enjoy everything Lewes has to offer. We have friends with houses on the beach so chose this location as a great option for me and my daughter to be central to downtown for the Fourth of July parade and dinner reservations - with a protected parking space. Having the washer dryer and full kitchen was very useful too. The air conditioning works great as well - which for anyone who has ever stayed in a property where the AC doesn’t work well…you know how important this is in the summer months!

This property and the entire experience was perfect. We just completed a two week stay and this is probably the best vrbo experience we’ve had over several decades in lodgings all over the US. Stunning property that feels Fresh & New! Stylish Holiday Decor that surpassed anything that we were hoping for in a VRBO rental. Top-notch appliances made this an enjoyable location to prep some of my family's favorite Christmas dishes for our Annual Potluck. Highly recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in Lewes. Suite A was absolutely perfect. It is even more beautiful in person that it is online. It was so clean and attention was paid to every detail from glassware to appliances to pillows & blankets to toiletries. And the location was great, just a quick walk to downtown. You can walk to the beach for a nice stroll, but it might be difficult to carry everything you need for a day at the beach. We look forward to staying there again.

Was exactly as advertised. Wonderful location, walking distance to restaurants, stores, etc. owner extremely responsive. Only suggestions would be a better lighted key pad, light switches in unit should be labeled and maybe more detailed instructions for heating/ ac units. Overall a wonderful stay in a comfortable well stocked apartment.

My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our recent getaway to Preservation Forge Suite "A". Aside from being beautifully and tastefully decorated, it is only steps away from many of Lewes' fine restaurants and shops. Inside, the suite offers a fully-equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, 50" television, and one of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in! Staying here was a real treat, and I can see us coming back. I'll surely be adding this location to my short list of "go-to" places in the Lewes area.

We spent a week here during the summer - all the little details have been thought through- items for the beach (beach chairs, towels, umbrellas, etc) made our stay super easy. Also, the in unit finishes were amazing - lots of storage space, beautiful high ceilings which bring in lots of natural light. The beds were super comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked. Would definitely recommend staying here again
