Our stay was very enjoyable. I can tell the homeowners genuinely care about their guests and their home. The decor was lovely and the bed was very comfortable. My absolute favorite thing about this place was the shower! Plenty of hot water and excellent water pressure!!! The location was noisy since we were so close to the road, this was disruptive since we are used to a quiet home in the woods. Also, as you should expect, there is a limited number of stores and restaurants in the area. That said, we weren’t looking to visit a city so it suited us just fine. Parking was a challenge because the neighbors parked their mini bus in the center of the only 3 available parking spots. However, that is certainly not a reflection of the homeowners. The home was clean but not perfect, such as a few hairs found on the toilet and in the shower. All in all, 4 out of 5 stars! (If you imagine all the luxuries of a 5-star hotel, this place isn’t that. But it’s lovely!)

My husband and I were in Galax to bike the New River Trail. This property provided secured indoor storage for our bikes - big plus! The location of the property is excellent for walking to downtown and biking the trail. We had one small issue with the TV at the property. We reached out to Brian and Heather and they immediately went above and beyond to make sure we had a working TV- he delivered a NEW TV to the property! I am a bit of an "appliance snob". The appliances in this property are excellent and easy to use - they were super clean!. The instant hot water system is great! We are already looking at dates in the spring to come back to this property. If you are looking for a property in Galax, stop now, and book this one!

Enjoyed our stay. Very quiet. Close drive to many sites we had on our check it out list. Hopefully we can stay again in the future. Should have realized it was upstairs. :-( Hubby had knee replaced earlier this year and still was ouchy. Our host and hostesses shared many locations of interest. Other guests also shared in the guestbook.

We had a wonderful stay in the Fiddlers Roost! The property was spotless and well appointed. It was quiet and we especially appreciated the black out curtains which allowed us to sleep in. The property is within walking distance to downtown and the New River bike trail was a short ride away. We will definitely return in the future!

Fiddlers Roost Apartment was immaculately clean and tastefully furnished, with everything provided for a wonderful stay Brain and Heather are great hosts and extremely accommodating. Excellent location. After returning from a scenic 15-20 minute drive to my fishing spot, it was not necessary to get back in my truck as I was able to walk downtown to dinner. I'm already looking forward to my next stay.

Everything was excellent about the property. The property manager checked in to make sure that everything was going well and that nothing was needed. The home was fully stocked with everything needed for an enjoyable stay. The kitchen had all the dishware and cutlery for cooking. The bathroom had more than enough towels and accessories. The air conditioning and hot water worked well. The location of the property was convenient to everything that Galax and the New River Valley have to offer. The home was spotless and modern. This will be my first choice to stay when I next return to Galax.

We stayed here for a long weekend to attend the smoke on the mountain festival in Galax! It was so clean and cozy. The owners were extremely nice and helpful. The snacks & drinks were very appreciated :) we had 3 adults and 2 children (ages 3 & 5) and we had plenty of room for everyone to sleep comfortably!

My wife and I stopped here with our kids on the way down to my sister's wedding recently. The place was just the right size for us. The beds were comfy, the kitchen was clean, the whole place was just right. The hosts were very accommodating, and even helped us out a couple of times during our stay. It was even within walking distance to part of the New River Trail. Don't hesitate to book here!

My friends and I had a great stay at Fiddler’s Roost. Brian and Heather were great hosts, having so many nice and thoughtful amenities throughout the apartment. A friend and I had a great stay here. Everything we needed was provided, it was super clean and is very conveniently located, walking distance to downtown.

Fiddlers Roost was perfect for my Husband and I. The place was super clean, beautifully decorated and well equipped for cooking our meals during our stay. The location was great for taking in a concert at the Blue Ridge Music Center and for riding our bikes on the New River Trail. The trail is about 1/2 mile from the house and very rideable. The owners have done a wonderful job with this place and have added a lot of little details to make it special. Hope to stay again soon!

We met the host on arrival as he was finishing up in the apartment. The host were easily accessible, very friendly and helpful. The apartment was quiet and private, clean, with a comfortably large kitchen and living area. Beds were very comfortable as were the pillows. Bathroom was clean and everything was nicely decorated. We would definitly stay again!
