My sister and I came up to the Keweenaw to do a little rockhounding. The location of this upper flat was perfect. Very close to Calumet Waterworks Park, which is a perfect beach to look for rocks and watch the sunset. We were within walking distance of restaurants and bars (really good Mexican restaurant just down the street, as well as cool historical taverns. The apartment itself was just as expected. Very clean and comfortable. The bedrooms each have an air conditioner (the one in the front bedroom also cools off the living room that also has a ceiling fan), and are on either ends of the apartment for privacy. The kitchen was stocked with everything we would need, as well as some nice little snacks from the hosts. Nice touch. The bathroom is small, and if you're really tall, you might be a bit cramped as the toilet was close to the shower wall. We had no problems though. The staircase leading upstairs is a little steep, but again, we had no problems with it whatsoever. I would definitely recommend this rental for your stay in the Keweenaw!

This place is just perfect for a stay in Calumet. Beautiful apartment, artfully decorated, comfy and complete with every amenity you can image. Close to downtown, great parking. If you are looking for a perfect spot to book a stay in Calumet I wouldn't look any further.

Property was clean and as described. Bedrooms had air conditioning. It was a great location for our event and had easy parking. Having bedroom at either end of the apartment made it nice when sharing with a friend. Great property for the price!

We stayed here while skiing at Mount Bohemia and we’re very pleased with the price and the apartment. Snow was removed for us to park, the apartment was well stocked with snacks and anything we could need, and there were restaurants within walking distance.

Our wonderful host responded quickly to our questions about the rental and the community. The apartment was amazing-much larger than we had expected and so clean. Everything we needed was available so we felt very comfortable staying here. We will definitely stay here again when in the area.

We had a perfect stay while visiting the Keweena Peninsula for my son's college orientation at Michigan Tech. This house was just enough room for Mom, son amd Grampa. Large bedrooms, kitchen and living space. Super clean with comfortable beds and a kitchen stocked with everything you could need. We loved the easy drive to and from Houghton and the extra space of a two-bedroom house versus the tiny over-priced hotels right near campus. The town of Calumet didn't disappoint when we were looking for dinner options. Amazing pizza at Jim's and a lovely, delicious dinner with historical ambiance at Michigan House Brewery. Overall, a fantastic experience and we hope to return in the future when visiting our Husky!

We were very pleased with this two-bedroom second floor apartment. It was clean and exactly as described in the photos and listing. The host was very responsive, the one time we had a minor issue he was at the property within 15 minutes and fixed it. We had four adults, two in each queen-sized bed, and it was very comfortable. The back bedroom is sufficiently isolated so that people could watch tv or talk in the living room without disturbing someone sleeping in the back bedroom. (Casting Netflix from my phone to the TV worked perfectly, the Wi-Fi and router were excellent.) The apartment is a few short blocks from downtown coffee shops and the fascinating history of Calumet. It's an easy drive to Eagle Harbor, Copper Harbor and the Brockway Mountain Parkway overlook. Swimming in Lake Superior at the sandy Bete Grise beach was phenomenal. And cold! We saw more stars than you can imagine, as well as the Milky Way, on a clear moonless night at Hunter's Point Park at Copper Harbor. If you stay overnight near Copper Harbor, the drive to Houghton/Hancock is an issue, and it rules out the Porkys. We took a day trip to the Porcupine Mountains, which was less that two hours away. It was a long day, but well worth it. Lake of the Clouds, Summit Peak and the Presque Isle River waterfalls can be done in one memorable day. The listing accurately warns that the stairs up to this second-floor apartment are steep and difficult for anyone with mobility issues.

The house was right in downtown, close to our favorite places to visit in Calumet. (Walking distance close.) We loved the authentic charm of the house. Also, the attention to detail in providing amenities for guests was exceptional. Truly. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well - that’s kind of important to us. Cleanliness was great and we were able to easily clean up after ourselves as well. We would stay here again in a minute.

A really great apartment in the center of the Calumet historic center. Complete privacy, save money on eating out with fully equipped kitchen. Spotless! Owner very responsive. I can’t say enough about how much I enjoyed it!

We stayed at this location while taking my son to Michigan Tech for orientation. Everything was clean and comfortable. Carl the Property manager was great at communicating and was able to accommodate us with our request. Overall, this will be my go to spot when visiting the area.

If you’re looking for fancy, this rental is not for you. If you like character and lots of space, this will be for you. The rental property is the entire second floor of an old house right in Calumet. It was charming and very clean. The bathroom was updated but the majority of the unit still had the original wooden floors and radiators for heat. We would stay there again!

We were first-timers and had a 10 hr drive! We were so pleased to enter the apartment to find it welcoming, warm and homey! It was perfect. Our contact was prompt with all communication and so kind. We stayed at this location while taking my son to Michigan Tech for orientation. Everything was clean and comfortable. Carl the Property manager was great at communicating and was able to accommodate us with our request. Overall, this will be my go to spot when visiting the area.

Our wonderful host responded quickly to our questions about the rental and the community. The apartment was amazing-much larger than we had expected and so clean. Everything we needed was available so we felt very comfortable staying here. We will definitely stay here again when in the area.

We were so impressed with this property. It was probably the cleanest home we have ever rented. The property managers are great. Detailed, informative and clear communications were provided. The house location was just a block walk to downtown Calumet.

We were first-timers and had a 10 hr drive! We were so pleased to enter the apartment to find it welcoming, warm and homey! It was perfect. Our contact was prompt with all communication and so kind. We loved the quaint decor and lovely personal paintings that were hung throughout. I definately recommend!

We were very pleased with this two-bedroom second floor apartment. It was clean and exactly as described in the photos and listing. The host was very responsive, the one time we had a minor issue he was at the property within 15 minutes and fixed it. We had four adults, two in each queen-sized bed, and it was very comfortable. The back bedroom is sufficiently isolated so that people could watch tv or talk in the living room without disturbing someone sleeping in the back bedroom. (Casting Netflix from my phone to the TV worked perfectly, the Wi-Fi and router were excellent.) The apartment is a few short blocks from downtown coffee shops and the fascinating history of Calumet. It's an easy drive to Eagle Harbor, Copper Harbor and the Brockway Mountain Parkway overlook. Swimming in Lake Superior at the sandy Bete Grise beach was phenomenal. And cold! We saw more stars than you can imagine, as well as the Milky Way, on a clear moonless night at Hunter's Point Park at Copper Harbor. If you stay overnight near Copper Harbor, the drive to Houghton/Hancock is an issue, and it rules out the Porkys. We took a day trip to the Porcupine Mountains, which was less that two hours away. My sister and I came up to the Keweenaw to do a little rockhounding. The location of this upper flat was perfect. Very close to Calumet Waterworks Park, which is a perfect beach to look for rocks and watch the sunset. We were within walking distance of restaurants and bars (really good Mexican restaurant just down the street, as well as cool historical taverns. The apartment itself was just as expected. Very clean and comfortable. The bedrooms each have an air conditioner (the one in the front bedroom also cools off the living room that also has a ceiling fan), and are on either ends of the apartment for privacy. The kitchen was stocked with everything we would need, as well as some nice little snacks from the hosts. Nice touch. The bathroom is small, and if you're really tall, you might be a bit cramped as the toilet was close to the shower wall. We had no problems though. The staircase leading upstairs is a little steep, but again, we had no problems with it whatsoever. I would definitely recommend this rental for your stay in the Keweenaw!

We loved staying at the property in Calumet. It was very clean and spacious. There were many small touches that made it comfortable. We did some cooking and found the kitchen well stocked. It has been nicely remodeled to keep the 'old time' feel while still remaining usable and efficient. It worked well as a home base to explore the Keweenaw. It is walkable to the bars and restaurants. The town is safe and friendly. We also enjoyed the history of Calumet and some of the architecture and building design is amazing. If you get a chance, check out the interior of St Paul's (the red sandstone church kitty corner from the property). It is absolutely stunning!

We stayed here while skiing at Mount Bohemia and we’re very pleased with the price and the apartment. Snow was removed for us to park, the apartment was well stocked with snacks and anything we could need, and there were restaurants within walking distance.

My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the “Charming apartment in Calumet.”The 2 bedrooms are at opposite ends of the apartment with plenty of space for us.. We had everything g we needed and the apartment is super clean and quiet. My friend loved that it was just across the street from the Historic Catholic Church and both enjoyed walking around the small town and going into shops. We were really happy to choose this apartment. It’s is a neat place to be to explore the area. I will recommend it to friends and family and hope to be back someday!!

Great place for my teen son and myself. We were up for a short visit with my other son, student at MTU (go Huskies). The apartment was clean and cozy. Kitchen was well equipped with everything needed to make a “homemade” meal for my student! Would definitely stay again!

We had a perfect stay while visiting the Keweena Peninsula for my son's college orientation at Michigan Tech. This house was just enough room for Mom, son amd Grampa. Large bedrooms, kitchen and living space. Super clean with comfortable beds and a kitchen stocked with everything you could need. We loved the easy drive to and from Houghton and the extra space of a two-bedroom house versus the tiny over-priced hotels right near campus. The town of Calumet didn't disappoint when we were looking for dinner options. Amazing pizza at Jim's and a lovely, delicious dinner with historical ambiance at Michigan House Brewery. Overall, a fantastic experience and we hope to return in the future when visiting our Husky!

The apartment was a good size, and we especially liked that the bedrooms were on opposite ends, since my sister is an early riser. It was extremely clean and had everything we needed, even coffee for the coffee maker. No trip needed to the store for essentials. It was within walking distance of several bars and restaurants, and the location was great for us to do day trips to Copper Harbor, and Houghton/Hancock. There was a nice township park with a beach about 6 miles away.

The house was right in downtown, close to our favorite places to visit in Calumet. (Walking distance close.) We loved the authentic charm of the house. Also, the attention to detail in providing amenities for guests was exceptional. Truly. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well - that’s kind of important to us. Cleanliness was great and we were able to easily clean up after ourselves as well. We would stay here again in a minute.
