Weak drinks and a lack of activities forced us to take some excursions to have some fun. Wait staff and housekeepers were excellent but bartenders were not, even though they were getting tips! Drinks were watered down to cut costs. Food options are interesting with the ice cream shop closing daily at 5:00pm, a Starbucks shop that no one uses due to extra charges, no sandwich options past 5:00pm unless you use room service… the property is dated and showing its age. The pools were is dire need of water as the infinity pools were a foot under filled. Pool and beach chairs are limited so if you are not present before 9:00am, you won’t get a chair. The pool bar is very small and doesn’t open until 11:00am and closes by 6:00pm, so again, options are limited.

This is a beautiful resort with so many wonderful features. We are at every venue and had fantastic meals at all of them. There are 3 pools, with one being adult only. The endless small touches were impressive (fresh flowers in the room, fresh fruit served at the pool, pool yoga, etc. The view was spectacular and we saw several whales jumping while we dined at some of the venues. It’s not really a swimmable ocean beach because of the rocky terrain, but you can still sit on the beach and wade in the water. That’s all I needed. The service was outstanding throughout the resort and the room was kept very clean. All this and we were only a 20 minute taxi drive to downtown and the marina. Perfection!

Lots of construction and updates. Very beautiful. We loved our room but the construction noise in the morning was not my favorite. Pools are so beautiful and everyone is so nice. Food was amazing. Only negative was all the pools close at 8pm and if you are by the fire pit you have to go to the 7th floor to get a drink from the only open bar. Not very convenient. The elevators are pretty slow. But all and all an amazing place with amazing staff. Would definitely stay again.

Came to this resort for a wedding this weekend. And it was absolutely beautiful. The property had about six pools. They weren’t all busy at the same time. There was a kids club a playground. Kitty pools. Depending on what room you get. You will need a golf cart to get to him from your room, but they’re pretty good with it. You just call and they pick you up and literally a minute. You walked to the lobby and you get a ride to your room. Super fast. My Husband and I came here alone, and shortly realize that this was a family hotel, and it makes us really miss our kids. Lol. so now we are planning our trip back already with our kids. I highly recommend this hotel for families as Alex at the Mexican buffet. He’s an awesome waiter. And Paul took really good care of us at the front desk, comedy, and everything that we needed. Oh and try the restaurant blue. It’s only open for lunch and dinner, and we only had the pleasure of having lunch there. Twice that New York aguachiles are to die for. It’s like Mexican pokey, highly recommend.

High points: Staff courtesy and helpfulness was exceptional. We found it easy to get golf cart transport on request. Air conditioning worked well throughout the property. Beds, linens, towels, and dishes in the suite were all high quality. We slept well and the room was quiet. We especially loved the food at Rosato (Italian). All food was good with wide variety. Also recommend the Grill casual lunch place by the pool. Pools were nice and included one with a shallow entrance for little kids. Security was great. Felt very comfortable, including leaving possessions on pool chairs etc. Low points: Beach is small pebbles (not sand) and the waves were fierce. It’s BEAUTIFUL but not great for sand play or swimming. Teenagers will have fun in waves at the edge of the water but not good for littles. One positive is that there were low spots where fish would swim up to you in only about 1 or 2 feet of water. Communication about property wasn’t great. There are kiosks with touchscreens throughout the property that seem to have the best / most current info regarding activities and open restaurants. An app or frequently-updated website would be a nice improvement. We didn’t like the food at Peninsula (dinner service; lunch was fine) and the service at El Mexicano was slow even though the food was good.

El servicio es muy lento, solo hay un restaurante bufete y abre de 7 a 11, el resto del dia solo son restaurantes a la carta muy limitados, sin aire acondicionado y con muchas moscas, faltan ventiladores en los restaurantes, el club para niños esta muy pequeño y basicamente solo es para niños de 3 años

My recent stay at the Grand Fiesta Americana had its ups and downs. I had two rooms booked for me and my parents. Starting with the positives, the staff was wonderful—friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist. The service at the spa was excellent, offering a truly relaxing experience, and the gym facilities were impressive, modern, and well-equipped. The room was clean, which I appreciated. However, there were several areas where my experience fell short. Upon arrival, I experienced a late check-in because the room wasn’t ready, we didn’t get into our room until 4:30 pm which was frustrating. As a VIP guest, I was also disappointed to find there were no special amenities provided. Additionally, the air conditioning unit was extremely noisy, I reported the issue three times at the front desk I never got an update for , and our area was loud at night and early in the morning as early as 5am. We stayed in room 305 close to the ice machine making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. The shower had mold, which was unexpected and detracted from the overall cleanliness. While I enjoyed the exceptional service at the spa and gym, the noise issues, cleanliness concerns, and lack of VIP touches made my stay less enjoyable than anticipated.

La pasamos muy bien. El hotel es algo antiguo, pero siempre limpio. Vistas preciosas . La comida muy rica. Todos muy atentos. Nos permitieron hacer el check in más temprano y check out más tarde, adaptandose a nuestras necesidades de horarios de vuelo, cosa que nos hizo más ameno aún nuestras vacaciones. Nos quedamos con ganas de volver muy pronto. 🤗

The room was spotless and the cleaning staff meticulous. Rooms were cleaned twice a day. The staff were extremely courteous to a fault. They were super attentive and helpful. The resort property itself was beautiful and spacious. Had no problems finding beach loungers or getting into the restaurants. Wedding planners were outstanding too.

We came here to attend a wedding and the property was gorgeous! Everything was kept extremely clean, which is always appreciated. We felt that the staff always went above and beyond to accommodate our needs and made us feel welcomed.

La habitacion descuidada, cada dia habia alguna cucaracha por ahi, un poco vieja la instalación, quise meter a mi hija a la tina y no salia agua fria, hablamos pero no lo resolvieron.. Realmente el personal del hotel es magnifico todos muy amables y lindos, pero el hotel en si.. deja mucho que desear.
La habitacion descuidada, cada dia habia alguna cucaracha por ahi, un poco vieja la instalación, quise meter a mi hija a la tina y no salia agua fria, hablamos pero no lo resolvieron.. Pros: the food is incredible, the staff is friendly, and it is close but far enough from Cabo San Lucas. The beachfront is amazing, there is a swimmable and a non-swimmable area, the service on the beach was exquisite and fast. The food is amazing specially the breakfast, it is authentic Mexican food. The peninsula for dinner was our favorite restaurant overlooking the ocean. Also very good high-quality food. The staff is friendly, especially a gentleman named Tony that sits on the second floor for poker night And drinks. The value for the hotel is fantastic. Cons: it is super noisy, if you’re looking to visit Cabo for relaxation, this is not the hotel you wanna go to. The pools are oversaturated, we found it hard to find a place to sit on a Friday. There are too many people for the availability of the pool. The rooms are located in the lower level of the building, so the lobby has incredible views, and some of the rooms do not. When we checked in, they try to give us a room with a building, blocking the view, even though we booked ocean view, and we had to go all the way back to the elevator eight floors to get a new room. The checking in is very slow. There’s always a lot of people in the lobby and it is super loud. Our security box in the room was broken so we had to call and get that fixed. We were constantly missing coffee and coffee cups, and the fee to take a taxi from the hotel is triple of what an Uber would charge you. It is ridiculous. They don’t allow guests.

The beachfront is amazing, there is a swimmable and a non-swimmable area, the service on the beach was exquisite and fast. The food is amazing specially the breakfast, it is authentic Mexican food. The peninsula for dinner was our favorite restaurant overlooking the ocean. Also very good high-quality food. The staff is friendly, especially a gentleman named Tony that sits on the second floor for poker night And drinks. The value for the hotel is fantastic. The staff were amazing and kind. The panoramic view from our king suite was gorgeous. The rooms are nice but a bit dated and the bathroom and mirror lighting is terrible. The resort would benefit greatly from an upgrade. The food at the breakfast buffet, Pennisula Restaurant, and Sushi restaurant was the best in my opinion. The overall food experience was average. What was incredibly impressive was the 4th of July show and fireworks party. It was incredibly well done with beautiful decorations, and assortment of food, desserts, and drinks, a live band and singer, and a beautiful fireworks show. I will likely not stay here again, but it is a nice resort if you are okay witn 4 star level. My family and I loved the staff and has a nice vacation in Cabo.

This property was beautiful! The infinity pool, restaurant options, and service was so amazing. I definitely recommend getting a suite. The building is older so the standard rooms could use some updating. They’re still nice though. They have fun options on the resort such as the club and fun activities. We needed a room change due to come appliance issues, and they acted quickly and even upgraded our suite.

We booked this property from a referral. Prior to arriving I booked a dinner on the beach for our anniversary. At checkin we were immediatley asked to sit through a 90 min presentation and receive $160 resort credit and couples massage or room upgrade. We chose to do a room upgrade from our deluxe king ocean view to king ocean front. The upgraded room was not an upgrade. Room was smaller, older, and smelled. We called the front desk and they accomodated us back to our original room booked. This room was wonderful. After sitting through the presentation, deciding not to purchase, we were denied what was promised as our gift. Now they would only do $160 resort credit instead of credit and massage or room upgrade. Since we did not upgrade our room we chose massage. The moment we said no to purchasing my husband and I were rushed out of the timeshare office and told to go to lobby. No thank you, no let me take you back to the lobby, no hospitalility at all. Trying to get our certificate was even more of a hassle. Front desk sent us to timeshare office, time share office sent us to the lady who checked us in who now changed her story as to what we were promised. We ended up canceling our dinner reservation as we were not about to give the resort anymore of our money when they couldn't be honest with us. The servers, maids, and pool waiters were amazing. They deserve the high five. The management and timeshare sharks need a big kick. We will not return to this resort.

The room was clean and comfortable, and the food was excellent. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful, and provided great service. Standout staff included Francisco at the poolside bar, Alina, Martin, and Raul from Peninsula, as well as Salvador and Neftali from La Mexicana. This was my second visit, and i will definitely be back.

It's a reasonable place for vacation overall and the food here is pretty good. However, the rooms are definitely old and the check-in and out process is very time consuming. The front desk was not able to find our booking with Expedia when we checked in and the same thing happened when we checked out. We had to wait more than 30 mins to complete the check-out process and in the end missed our shuttle to the airport.

Overall our stay stay was nice but the check in and check out experiences were awful. On arrival our “room selection” and wishes were not available. It was our anniversary and the guy in the clerk would only give us a room with a double bed (wonderful start of the trip). Then the cherry on top was how “they would have the room we wanted” for 900usd extra OR for 600usd if we attended to a breakfast for the time share speech. Tbh we come all the way from Europe and it is of very bad taste to have this “selling” attitude to the customer. Especially since we had already prepaid everything with Expedia (which we are Gold Members) and since we dont have the ideal customer profile for what the hotel is offering. I have to add that after leaving the front desk without a room assigned, we received a “magical” phone call telling us that the room we wanted was available. We did received an upgrade (tbh we always do) but I say “magic” because it was clear they wanted to take advantage of me and my husband. As for the check out experience. A night before our departure I spoke to a front desk girl who told me since we were Expedia Gold and we could not stay for the “late check out” on our suite, the hotel would provide a “complementary room WITHOUT COST” to freshen up before our flight. To my surprise once we did the check out they had NO IDEA of what I was saying and asked us to pay 80usd for 3 more hours on a hotel room. After some dialogue the room was offered for 40usd

This is a beautiful resort with so many wonderful features. We are at every venue and had fantastic meals at all of them. There are 3 pools, with one being adult only. The endless small touches were impressive (fresh flowers in the room, fresh fruit served at the pool, pool yoga, etc. The view was spectacular and we saw several whales jumping while we dined at some of the venues. It’s not really a swimmable ocean beach because of the rocky terrain, but you can still sit on the beach and wade in the water. That’s all I needed. The service was outstanding throughout the resort and the room was kept very clean. All this and we were only a 20 minute taxi drive to downtown and the marina. Perfection!

Although I usually go to other areas in Mexico, I found this resort, although older, to be excellent. The property was immaculate, the food was amazing, and the staff was super friendly. The Italian restaurant was particularly good and the pianist was a nice touch. If you're looking for a beach vacation, this is not the place to go. It was beautiful, but it was impossible to swim - too many rocks. It's more a vacation to just relax and not do too many activities. There were no airport transfers, so I found that odd, as most places have them and it wasn't cheap to get to the resort. I would definitely go back again with a good book for some peace and quiet.

We were not put in the room we booked. Had to be moved. We had to call for a gold cart to go anywhere on the property bc its so far from ANYTHING. They obviously expect tips multiple times per day. Restaurants close EARLY. Only 2 of the 9 they boast are inclusive and then you only have certain things you can order from the menu. You can not swim at resort. You have to taxi to public beach at your expense. In conclusion, YOU ARE NOT GETTING ALL INCLUSIVE!!!! Apparently, this is for all of Cabo. Make sure you realize this before you book.

This was our second time staying at this resort, and it was just as good as the first. The food and service at every single restaurant is always fantastic. I can't even pick a favorite because they are all different and equally good. The rooms have comfortable beds and are kept very clean and stocked with snacks and drinks. Deep tissue massages and facials with Amparo and Consuelo at the Somma Wine Spa were relaxing and rejuvenating. Byan at the pool and beach area went out of his way to give us excellent service every day. Our kids loved ice cream in the lobby and snorkeling every day to see all the amazingly colored fish right as you step in to the ocean - 10/10 wonderful resort.

The staff and service provided were great. room service and housekeeping in particular were phenomenal. Great lunch and snacks options but not many for breakfast. The front desk agent said that this was something we have to talk with a supervisor about, "but they are all in a meeting, so you have to pay now".

The only thing we have to say is the bed toughness was ROUGH lol sooo hard, we are a little haggard, backs and hips hurt from how firm the bed was (ask for extra pillows). Otherwise wonderful experience!

The food here was amazing, the staff so friendly and helpful. Lot to do for the entire family. I went with my Daughter and Granddaughter we had an excellent experience. The ice cream and cake pops were her favourite. I’ll definitely return to this resort.
