The hotel's location is great. It's on a quiet street but near a a dozen bars, restaurants, and all the fun provided by Sukhumvit. The key selling point of the hotel is the infinity swimming pool, but it's not what I expected. The glass of the swimming pool is no longer transparent, it looks like it has not been cleaned for months. There's only one motor for the whole swimming pool which is not enough to keep the water clean. Despite the huge amount of bleach they apply to the water, the surface of the water looks oily if you pay attention. They only turn on the swimming pool motor after 12pm. On my first day, the gym was closed because they had to repaint it, nobody warned me about it before check-in or during the check-in. There was only one small window in the gym so the smell of paint was annoying for the next 4 days. There are no power supplies next to the bed, you will need to plug your phones and any other things in the TV stand. The food quality is average, the staff tried their best to be helpful but out of the receptionists, their English level was really poor. Some items on the menu were "sold-out" for more than 5 days (I don't think it's really hard in Thailand to find a Pork Neck to prepare a Pork Neck salad). There are two other hotels 1min walking from it within the same price in way far better conditions.

This hotel is in very walkable location, and near great nightlife. The rooms are clean and large, and there is a lovely pool on the roof. I especially appreciated the minor details, such as the provided slippers and the plate of fruit awaiting us in our room.

The hotel was very good. It is in a convenient location close to Sukhumvit Road and the train. The hotel is comfortable and clean and has a nice pool. The hotel is not quite as fancy as some of the major international hotels - but the price of the rooms was reasonable. Overall I would recommend the hotel if you want to stay somewhere that is quite decent but don't want to spend on one of the top end hotels, I thought this was a very good mid range hotel.

Stayed here in 2018 and it was a pleasant place to stay; that’s why I came back. As of July 2023 the place isn’t in good shape. From dirty elevators to overused towels. Front desk girl was the least helpful one can be. The only good part of it was the sweetest lady at the taxi-tours desk. Not only she was helpful, but offers cheaper price’s compared to other places…even Grub.

Hotel Icon is an affordable option among all that Bangkok offers. I have been coming to Bangkok for many years and Hotel Icon Bangkok is very conveniently located to the BTS Phloen Chit Station making getting around Bangkok very easy and efficient. My stay was very comfortable and I really enjoyed the room I was in. I especially liked how the walls separating the bathroom from the bedroom were two thick panes of aquamarine translucent glass, part of the walk in shower which has another thick pane of transparent glass between it and the toilet making for a spacious feel. I would definitely stay again!

I said I would be willing to pay. He said cannot do. Then I booked this extra night (this booking for this review) online straight away, called up reception, and said, well, the hotel was not full and I was able to book, please merge my bookings. He said ok and merged them and I stayed. No apology, no explanation that he was wrong about the hotel being full. In addition, no power outlets near bed, no USB ports (not even USB-A let alone USB-C). Dated decor. A/C only works in whole integers of celsius (22c or 23c, no ability to put 22.5c).

Excellent location. Skytrain and major shopping areas very close. Very poor service. I cut my toe in the shower due to broken tiles, then had to beg staff for plasters and ice. Very poor service. Staff rude and not willing to help in any way. Manager on holiday for 3 days HR manager cant sprak english. No compensation. Didnt even offer to wash blood stained trainers and sock. Food over priced. Hotel taxi services charges more then street taxis. I will not return!

Terrible hotel with even ruder and unhelpful staff. Not to mention the roof top pool is boiling hot and looks like an abandoned store room. Stay again for this hotel if you want to feel like a valued guest The male receptionist who checked me in should get a new job because Cleary doesn’t like the one he has. I had to fight to get a second room key. To which he replied all the rooms are full and I can’t. Once I demanded a second key or refund he pulled one right out the draw. Terrible service. Terrible roof top pool and not worth the money

The hotel was very good. It is in a convenient location close to Sukhumvit Road and the train. The hotel is comfortable and clean and has a nice pool. Second time we've stayed there. No sockets near the bed (just normal power points, let alone international sockets, or USB-A, or USB-C). Anything at all would be good. Water pressure just okay. Hot water weakest. Rooftop bar, apparently pedestal fans need to be turned on pointing at nobody at the back rather than brought to the front where they face actual humans. Cocktails, just okay. Espresso martini had bits at the bottom.
