The Hudson Inn is a hotel property in recovery, and they are doing a nice job. I stayed at this same hotel a year ago and it is a much better property now. They still have things to do to make it a top-notch hotel, but it's worth the money. The room was clean, bright, and comfortable. A nice comfortable bed. The bathroom is a bit small, but that was how it was built back in the 1970's. The in-room heat/AC unit was noisy and made it hard to hear the TV when it was running. Outside of the property is the area in the most need right now. The parking lot and driveway is filled with potholes and parts of the sidewalk around the property are missing. It looks like they are getting ready to fix it soon. But overall, I enjoyed my stay! They have a nice continental breakfast, plus they had a young man making omelets by request. He did a very nice job!

Only had one towel in the room, when I asked for another towel I was handed five hand towels. Not the desk clerks fault necessarily , as far as I know that’s all he had available. Mold on shower curtain, the room has not been physically maintained but it did seem that housekeeping was doing the best it can.

My hotel room was Not cleaned. There was candy stuck to the floor and the soap was used before I came in and there was mold on the shower curtain. Yo be honest I am very disappointed and will not be coming back.

Good price, really friendly staff. Bathroom really small. One door had big gaps between door and jam. Other door was so tight it would barely close. Carpet in hallway needed to be replaced 3 or 4 years ago. Heater/air conditioner was loud but kept the room comfortable. Beds were ok.

The room was super small… not even having a closet is inconvenient especially when you are spending the weekend there and have multiple outfits. Also, the bathroom… ver small and no counter space at all. Did like that we had to walk all the way to the front desk to get a hair dryer and iron! These are items that are in every hotel room I have ever been in.

The check in staff member was very helpful. The room was a little small, but it had everything I needed. I did not see how to turn on the mini-fridge, so I didn't use it. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet. I was happy that there was no scent of smoking inside the hotel.

Booking and checkin was a disaster. Claimed I did not have both my rooms. Got it all fixed in advance and then when we got there for checkin again didn’t have one of my rooms. Eventually after holding up the line for check in she found it. It was embarrassing for us. The beds were very comfortable. Our fridge in our room was full of mold and smelled awful. I asked others and theirs were too. There are no towel holders or racks for hand or bath towels in the room. The breakfast was awful. They have moved it to a tiny area in the lobby and there was no room to move or sit. Everything was empty at 9:30(breakfast till 10). I could not cut the pancakes with even a knife(there were 2 left). The man making omelets was very overwhelmed by the line and could only make one at a time with 10-15 people in line. I recommend going back to the room you use to use. We have stayed multiple times here and this was not a good experience on this stay. I also recommend getting a point system for stays like Grandstay and Super8. It is a true bonus to staying at them.

We’ve stayed at this hotel two time before. The first time the hotel was in disrepair. The second time was a few weeks ago. I was impressed with all the upgrades and mostly the cleanliness. This time the rooms were still clean and comfortable at a reasonable price. BUT this time, 3 bus loads of frat house and sorority house kids were guests. They were very loud and disrespectful in the halls and pool area. They pounded on doors, screamed, and yelled continuously. The pool area and hot tub were completely taken over by these kids until 1:30 - 2:00 in the morning. There were rooms of kids on both sides of us that had their music blaring until almost 4:00 in the morning. I called down to the desk to lodge a complaint 2 times but nothing improved. The person at the desk was very nice but she wasn’t able to control the kids. I don’t know what this hotel owner/ manager was thinking when he or she okayed these kids staying at the hotel. It’s been a struggling hotel for years but now it’s been completely remodeled and is very nice. Why would you take a chance of ruining the hotel and it’s reputation again?

This was our second stay here, and everything was very clean and comfortable both stays. Older property, but it has been remodeled very nicely. Where our first stay was quiet and restful, the second was not! There were MANY college age kids staying here (3 coach buses) and they were loud, obnoxious, and rude all night long. Loud Music, squealing, partying, running down the hallways yelling, pounding on several doors, including ours, cigarette smoke, etc. My mom called the front desk 3 times to complain (she and my dad were in another room down the hall) The lady at the front desk was frustrated and called the owner, but he never showed up, so there was literally no sleep for many in the hotel. Although the behavior of these kids wasn’t their fault, the hotel management should have done something about it. We were debating calling the police by 2:00am.

Very Old but looks like there trying to remodel but moving very slowly on it I payed with Expedia then the hotel charge me again told them i already payed I was told I would have to talk to the manager the next day it was taken care of you just need to make sure they don’t double charge you

Had a great stay. The hotel is reopened and areas are under construction. It is great to have another hotel option in the area again. Our room was excellent - clean, great beds, loved the towels. We stayed three nights over the 4th of July, and there were some groups but it was still quiet. Loved the fridge and microwave. Staff were kind and helpful (especially the woman working check-in on Thursday and check-out on Sunday - so sweet and friendly!) Had one issue in our bathroom, and it was fixed in 10 minutes - owner came up to check it out. Pool was good, including hot tub. Maybe if temps in the pool area were a little warmer, it would be better. But some patron opened the courtyard door and left it open at some point - and it was a bit chilly. Breakfast was delicious - coffee, juice, eggs, sausage and bacon, biscuits & gravy, and pancakes and french toast on day 3. An interesting department store and bakery/coffee shop across the street in walking distance, and short drive to gas station, grocery store and liquor store. Overall great trip!

when I looked online it said the free breakfast was phenomenal. It was the worst breakfast I have ever had at a hotel. No seating, had to stand to eat, in a freezing cold area with 4 pieces of hard stale bread, a handful of dried eggs, warm milk, cereal that had been in the containers for who knows how long, burned pancakes- just awful. There was a table around the corner to sit at but you would have literally been sitting in the hallway. Very disapppointing.

Older, but well kept hotel. Clean. Absolutely delicious breakfast, made to order omelets-and other choices - different than the usual waffle and dry bagel breakfast that is common. Our room was small, but we didn’t need much, the bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds we’ve ever experienced. Staff were so very nice. We ate at the new Italian restaurant in the hotel and it was absolutely delicious and reasonable.
