I loved the property! Right on the beach. Clean rooms and a friendly staff. Excellent restaurant on property that I used several times. The reason for only 4 stars was the parking. On Friday and Saturday evening, they had wedding receptions on the property and there was no parking for the hotel guests because the wedding guests were taking it all. On Friday night my husband kept driving around and finally found a spot. On Saturday night, we arrived back at the hotel at 9:30 to find no parking again. We waited, but it was obvious that this wedding was going well into the night and we were tired. So we ended up parking across the street and had to pay park mobile $42.50 for the night. Sunday morning we spoke with a manager who apologized and reimbursed us. He mentioned that there was valet parking but the front desk did not mention it the night before. So we got reimbursed, it was just a hassle to wait for a spot after dark when you are tired and ready for bed.

Very small room - bathroom is a total joke - for 4 people this was a pure joke - we were very uncomfortable. We probably will not be returning because of this. Pool tiny - and not heated. Food very mediocre for the price. The towels at the pool remind me of cheap camp towels. My husband said this place reminds him of a motel.

Beach Amenities - The staff sets up free umbrellas and chairs from 8 am to 6/7 pm. Lifeguards clear the beach by 4:50 pm. The sand is soft, but an outfall pipe nearby affects the view and sometimes causes odors. A shuttle is available to the beach, though I didn’t use it. Room - We had a small room with two full beds. One bed was against the wall, making it hard to get out, and the bathroom was compact. The hotel provided toiletries, and extra supplies were given at the front desk upon request. The room was clean and comfortable, with a balcony accessible from both the bedroom and living room. The kitchen had basic appliances, but bring your own K-cups and drinks. Hallways displayed local history. Parking - No issues with parking; valet is available. Fitness Center - Very small with only a couple of machines. Restaurant - Enjoyed a pleasant breakfast with friendly staff and a nice pool view. Beach Bar - Great service with plenty of seating for drinks and appetizers. One of the best properties around. Great service. Lots of entertainment. Transportation to and from the boardwalk and beach. Very few hotels to this in the Wildwood area. Will go back again.

This is a really fun nice place to spend a few days in Wildwood. The amenities are top chart, the food is delicious. The Star bar at the beach is so cute. Loved that they offered lounge chairs and umbrellas at the beach at no charge. They even had tall sit up beach chairs to sit in by the water!

The property advertises a beach shuttle which never happened the first day of our stay due to a wedding being on the property. There were no beach attendants when we got to the beach at 2:45 p.m. and had to literally take our own chairs and set them up under and umbrella. Some of front desk staff were not helpful nor were they friendly. When we arrived in room safe was locked and phone broken. The sliding glass doors were unsafe and extremely hard to open as they were not on their tracks.

I love this hotel it is nice and clean. I have nothing negative to say. The employees are respectful and kind. My room was clean and we enjoyed our stay. We will be back again hopefully in September before the summer ends.

The Icona Diamond Beach is a top notch hotel. I was thoroughly impressed with the staff and the spotless facilities. People were always cleaning something. I honestly haven't stayed at a cleaner hotel, and that is saying something considering it's right on the beach. The room was as advertised, a little smaller than it appeared in the photos (especially the bathroom), but more than adequate and has nice furnishings in excellent condition. It was nice to have the small kitchenette as well, and the quality of the dishes etc. was good. The only disappointment was the restaurant, which is lackluster at best. We only ate a few meals there. Overall we were very pleased with our stay and highly recommend.

We booked a night during Labor Day weekend and were disappointed. The price didn’t match the quality. The A/C system in the rook is outdated and makes too much noise. I guess the hotel should switch to noiseless mini splits. I was surprised to know that coffee in the lobby is not free (and that’s with high price for hotel room). It has been sand in the elevator and hallways. The beach was not as clean as expected. The hotel claims it has a private beach for guests only but anyone can walk there and stay on the beach which makes it more crowded. Overall, the hotel is overpriced with lots to improve.

The beautiful private beach, location, and nice staff were the strengths of this hotel. The rooms were very small but very clean. I wouldn’t recommend the double room to any groups greater than 4. The bathroom was tiny. The Star beach bar was convenient and great for drinks and food wasn’t bad. The Coastal Blue restaurant was predictably overpriced, as usual for a hotel restaurant, but convenient.

Best thing about this resort was the staff—very friendly! Second best thing was the beach service—umbrellas, chairs, towels. Also the pool was great. Loved the chicken tenders ordered poolside, didn’t love the beach bar food. Found the separation between the bedroom and living area nice, but didn’t love the tightness of the bedroom and placement of bathroom. Overall, I would go back, but would only sleep 1 family/couple per room. Sleeper sofa mattress was too thin, but bed mattresses were comfy.

We loved staying at the ICONA. We booked a Premium Double Suite and it was great to have the kitchenette. We made breakfast and was able to eat outside on our private balcony looking out at the ocean. The room is smaller than the images on the website and the gym is also small (there is only a Peloton bike and a treadmill with weights). Despite the latter we would stay there again int he future.

The room was perfect for the two of us. Says it sleeps 6 but I can’t imagine having that many people in there. The room is small and so is the bathroom. Like I said, it was fine for just the two of us.

The staff was kind, the facility was clean and the beach was beautiful. However, I always choose an ocean view balcony room. All rooms were “partial view” due to the design of the building. Our balcony actually faced the pool bathrooms and another wall part of the building. We were looking at a wall and bathroom doors, amongst the traffic to and from the pool. Only rooms on the top floors had any kind of decent view. If a balcony and great view are important to you, make sure you room is on an upper level.
The staff was kind, the facility was clean and the beach was beautiful. However, I always choose an ocean view balcony room. All rooms were “partial view” due to the design of the building. Upon arrival at 3pm checkin, not enough valets to help or even carts, received a complimentary bottle of Prosecco, loved the chairs/umbrella at the beach and direct access to the beach,restaurant on site but very busy with a wedding reception leaving our dinner service less then perfect, ordered room service which never arrived but charge was removed from the bill. Probably going elsewhere next trip!

The property was great, very clean for the amount of people in the neighborhood. What can I say about the staff, from the time we arrived to the time we checked out, they never said No or even let me check on that. Everything was yes, and sorry for the inconvenience. Great place to stay at.

We visited for a girls getaway…room was nice, clean and accommodated the 5 of us just fine although we had to work with the 1 tiny bathroom…but we made it work! We especially loved Liam the valet and John the jeep driver on the beach. John was always there ready to take us to the beach and make sure we had everything we needed. He really is an asset to the Icona! Also loved Liam always ready to grab our car and had answers to any questions we had. Props to the crew on the beach as well…they were always ready to set our chairs and umbrellas up, sweep the sand off and offer towels. Unfortunately the bar on the beach ran out of ingredients for pina colada’s and he didn’t want to share a cup of ice. The only other issue that was upsetting was while checking out found out the resort fee had not been paid. Because we were splitting the cost between 5 I specifically called the hotel after booking with Expedia to ask if that price we were quoted INCLUDED the resort fee…I was told YES, everything had been paid for. So I was more than a little irritated to find out the Resort Fee had to be paid. But overall the place was very nice and I will definitely stay there again!

We’ve booked this last minute, what a pleasant surprise. The hotel was so clean. Kitchen had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable. Jonathan checked us in quickly and even upgraded our room. So glad we went. Definitely be back. Cathy was wonderful also. The entire staff would go out of their way to do anything to help us. Even to carry our bags. 10 minutes from Cape May, which was triple the price. Close to everything that we wanted to do. The only downfall was it was just a one night stay. Won’t make that mistake again.👍

Enjoyed an off season stay in Cape May at this friendly, clean hotel right on the beach. Our room had a small balcony perfectly angled to watch the sun come up with a cup of coffee. The staff was excellent and made us feel like family. The attached restaurant has a diverse menu to fit most people and a wonderful bar area.

I don't want to let people know about this place. Its a Gem! Nice and quiet place. All away from the busy and crazy broadwalk. Nice view of the ocean from the balcony. Nice and friendly staff. Definitely coming back.

Icona is a very beautiful place , right on the beach. The staff is friendly and helpful and will go out of their way to make you happy. There is an excellent restaurant and bar with an outside bar on the beach. Its a fun time.

The property is located in a quiet area surrounded by condominiums. We only stayed 1 night, off season. The reception when we arrived was welcoming; hotel was immaculate. We will definitely revisit in peak season.

I loved the property! Right on the beach. Clean rooms and a friendly staff. Excellent restaurant on property that I used several times. The reason for only 4 stars was the parking. On Friday and Saturday evening, they had wedding receptions on the property and there was no parking for the hotel guests because the wedding guests were taking it all. On Friday night my husband kept driving around and finally found a spot. On Saturday night, we arrived back at the hotel at 9:30 to find no parking again. We waited, but it was obvious that this wedding was going well into the night and we were tired. So we ended up parking across the street and had to pay park mobile $42.50 for the night. Sunday morning we spoke with a manager who apologized and reimbursed us. He mentioned that there was valet parking but the front desk did not mention it the night before. So we got reimbursed, it was just a hassle to wait for a spot after dark when you are tired and ready for bed.

We loved our stay! The hotel felt clean and beachy! The hallways were even decorated nicely. Check in and out was quick. We had no complaints! My only suggestion for the property is to invest in high quality bar cherries. The bar is beautiful so I ordered and old fashioned and they used a maraschino cherry. It wasn’t the high end cocktail to match the beautiful bar vibe. Otherwise everything else was great!

Really liked the property. Star Beach bar we had rude service but otherwise everyone was wonderful. We especially liked Tim the driver for the resort. He was the best and our kids also commented on how nice and friendly he is. We will be back!

The Icona Diamond Beach is a top notch hotel. I was thoroughly impressed with the staff and the spotless facilities. People were always cleaning something. I honestly haven't stayed at a cleaner hotel, and that is saying something considering it's right on the beach. The room was as advertised, a little smaller than it appeared in the photos (especially the bathroom), but more than adequate and has nice furnishings in excellent condition. It was nice to have the small kitchenette as well, and the quality of the dishes etc. was good. The only disappointment was the restaurant, which is lackluster at best. We only ate a few meals there. Overall we were very pleased with our stay and highly recommend.

Love the chair and umbrella service at the beach and the the drink and food amenities at the beach. The restaurant food was surprisingly good and so we took advantage of not leaving the hotel. Will be back next year!
