Lovely little hotel. Visited with a partner and we enjoyed ourselves. The vibes were good….quiet, the property looked good, staff was kind, food/drinks at the Pink Cabana restaurant also good, pool area was big enough to enjoy a swim or laying out, easy parking. Would return.

Sands Hotel is my absolute favorite resort in Palm Springs. My husband and I come celebrate our wedding anniversary every year. What is there not to love? It’s quiet, adult only, pool is open 24/7, and has one of the best restaurants. The pink cabana is located inside the resort. They change the menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner so you literally do not have to leave. Poolside service is also top tier. A stay at Sands is an absolute must!

The Sands was very, very charming. It is an old hotel that has been very tastefully renovated. It is small, only 46 rooms, but there is free parking, a nice restaurant, a coffee shop that was walkable, a lovely pool, and the room was spotless. Everyone was very friendly. Would highly recommend.

Lost its luster or i went on the wrong days. This place was absolutely amazing super quiet,relaxing and clean, the food was 10/10. The only thing is, the pool towels weren’t that clean. But other than that Sands is great.

I like the fully renovated updated hotel. I appreciated the interior design from the tile work, waterworks vintage brass faucet, the Diptyque amenities (their hotel website has a spelling mistake. I wish they are individual small bottles for hygiene reasons). There's a stand by the pool has water station, sunblock and after sun. Every morning they set up a coffee station at the same stand as well. Few issues were one of the USB outlet by the night stand did not work, the pillow cases were pilling and stains on bedsheet. Our door has a crack right at the center of the door that large enough light shine through.

Sorry I hate to complain but I’m mentioning these things so the hotel can improve. I did enjoy my stay overall and the staff was great. Great place to stay if you’re a couple or plan on using the amenities. I got sucked in by the low price and good reviews but once I arrived the cost rose significantly. $42 a day resort fee for what? Free coffee in the morning? Nobody uses the pool in December why are you charging an extra fee? Just include it in the nightly cost instead of charging on arrival. I’m so over hotels doing that bait and switch. Customers need to stop getting used to this and start voicing your displeasure in the practice. Make it optional or get rid of it all together. You’re not providing any extra service to justify $42 extra per night especially this time of year. Also my room faced the busy Main Street making the patio not useable due to how loud it was all day and night with cars driving by. The room itself though is extremely quiet from outside noise due to the double sliding doors they installed to block the noise from coming inside. Air conditioner in room 26 needs maintenance. It’s extremely loud while it’s running. And I’m not sure if you can do much about the floor being very squeaky as you walk near the bed but not really a big deal. My dog was over 40 pok

I’ve stayed at the Sands Hotel twice, and if they offered long-term stays, I’d seriously consider moving in. It’s like someone built a “Desert Chic Dream” Pinterest board and turned it into reality—with zero pretentiousness. The moment you walk in, it smells amazing, looks like a design magazine, and feels like the kind of calm your therapist keeps talking about. The rooms are effortlessly stylish—moody, inviting, and so well-designed you’ll question your own taste. The beds are ridiculously comfortable, and the bathrooms make you want to soak and rethink your entire life. But what truly sets Sands apart? The staff. Warm, real, and intuitive. They don’t give you fake hospitality, they see you, and it shows in every small moment. And the pool? Easily one of the best vibes I’ve ever felt. If reincarnation is real, I want to come back as a pool towel here. Bottom line: I’ve stayed twice, and both times I left emotionally damaged from having to go back to reality. If you’re even thinking about staying here—do it. Just be warned: every other hotel will disappoint you forever after.

While the hotel is dated and small, it is a quiet, little place. I would score it higher, but the lighting in the bathroom was pretty poor for putting on makeup and such. The mattress definitely showed major wear making it difficult to sleep without being pulled the middle of the bed by both sides. Other than this, I would recommend this hotel. There are less than fifty rooms, all of which circle the pool which looked very nice and inviting-quiet and tranquil. The staff were super nice and accommodating. There is a restaurant onsite and seemed to be quite popular without being a “party scene”.

The property was very cute and decorated great. The bed was super comfortable. My only complaint was the lighting. The lighting was super dim in the bathroom and it made it hard to do makeup/see. Rooms needed brighter bathroom lighting.

Very small room. Dresser taken almost with a liquor array, limiting space for personal items. Not interested in drinking I have never seen such a thing. No foldabe tray for my luggage. Bed comfortable. Pool and patio area lovely. Restaurant ok for breakfast.

When I asked about ordering inside, I was turned away at the host stand because I wasn’t fully clothed, despite being at the pool. My husband and I recently celebrated our one-year anniversary there. Expecting a relaxing getaway. Unfortunately, our experience was marred by subpar service at the pool. Upon arrival, the front office staff exceeded expectations with their warmth and professionalism. However l, the pool service fell short. After settling in, we waited patiently for a waiter to take our order. Despite multiple passes, the young waiter ignored us prioritizing other couples. I loved it from the moment I walked in. The cutest hospitality touches like a hand written note welcoming me in. You won’t find this kind of hospitality at any chain hotels. Every staff member I encountered was very friendly and helpful. The food from the restaurant was very delicious. I loved how quiet it was during our weekday stay. It was clean and just absolute perfection. I will definitely be staying here again. 10/10 recommend for your stay.

Overall, a well appointed boutique hotel with beautiful grounds, comfortable beds, nice showers and amenities. Our check in/out was excellent and seamless. Food by the pool was very good. We loved the Crab Benedict for breakfast and Salads for lunch. Service by the pool was mixed. We ordered bottles of wine by the pool. Once the bill came at the end of the day, we were charged double the price per bottle of wine that wasn’t on the menu. We flagged it and they resolved it. The second day we had everyone else’s food and drinks on our tab. We got it ironed out after we raised it to the server and went through line item by line item. We had dinner one night at Pink Cabana, once again, the food was good. However, the service was unfavorable. Our waiter chose not to inform us of the automatic gratuity added to the bill hoping for a double dip. In conclusion, we learned we needed to watch our bills like a hawk. We paid almost $1,000 a night and thought the service lagged for that price tag.

Fabulous little hotel, spectacular restaurant and a lovely pool. My only disappointment and it was a disappointment was having been told that we could spend check-out day by the pool with a plan to eat three meals at the pool/restaurant to be told by a member of staff that we needed to leave the pool because of a wedding party. Understandable but not pleasantly handled.

This is our preferred property when we stay in the palm springs area. Everything is thoughtfully done, and the extra touches like champagne and Sinatra playing in your room are amazing touches. Staff is always friendly and helpful and the pool is very refreshing in the hot months. Elpaso shops are very close by and Palm Sorings is only 15/20 mins away.
