Pool was not heated as advertised, hot tub was dirty, pool towels were old and small. Life guard staff was always late so lazy river opened late daily, closed early, and there were not enough tubes. Life guard staff was playing music through bluetooth speaker blaring profanities and our kids heard it and told us. Pool was so cold that we had to find other things to do off property. We stayed in March and weather was still cold. We reached out to management through email and phone several times with no response.I would not recommend staying at this property.

The hotel common areas and rooms were clean and nice. Desk Attendant was super nice and knowledgeable. The only complaint we have is the beds were horribly uncomfortable. Oh, one of the 2 elevators in the whole building was broken and wait times were ridiculous.

Was good however they need to hire more lifeguards so they don’t have to close the lazy river down because of that issue. Also to open it on time.

I contacted the property to see if I could book a same-day reservation after a rough experience elsewhere. For future travelers, I’d recommend using Hotels.com for last-minute bookings—it’s just easier. Because I booked directly, I had to check out the next morning, check back in, and leave a second security deposit. If I’d extended my stay through Hotels.com, it probably would’ve been seamless. Now for the fun part: this hotel has a lazy river! It’s not heated, so winter might not be ideal, but it’s still a charming surprise. My room was spacious, and every staff member I met was warm and welcoming. The young man working in the hotel’s shop was especially friendly—so much so that I ended up buying a bigger suitcase from him. Food options in the area are limited late at night, and any delivery has to be dropped off at the front desk for security reasons. The hotel’s vending machines, especially drink choices, could use an upgrade, but that’s a small gripe compared to everything else. I also noticed the housekeeping team doing incredibly thorough work—moving furniture, checking corners, and really giving each room a deep clean. We check in without a problem, set everything in room, we travel with some medications that need to be in a refrigerator, first thing we always do is put them in the refrigerator. Took a break after a long drive, we went to check on the medicine only to find out the refrigerator wasn't working. We called front desk, they told us, the there were no more rooms available nor refrigerators. No problem lets bring some ice from the ice machine. Surprise! Machine isn't working 😕

We were there for a 3 day Jiu jitsu tournament so we didn't use all of the amenities, but our room was great, service was awesome and the pool and hot tub were fantastic.

The beds were comfortable. The room was clean. The pool was not the cleanest and was over crowded on the weekend. They also shut the lazy river very early. The tub didn’t drain well. Overall it was a good stay though with a great price.

Super quiet and clean. Disappointed in the dining options. On site it states they have a poolside bar and cafe but you have to go inside for that I felt a little pricey. Also stated there was a Mexican restaurant on site but it was only open for breakfast “buffet “ which was a continental breakfast. I would go back for relaxing day at the pool but plan on leaving site for dinner

When we went there it took too long for someone to help us with the dryer machines. Only 1 out of the 6 machines they had was working which was ridiculous. It had ruined my plans cause I was stuck waiting for over 2 hours for my clothes to dry. Pool is nice. Had an accessible room which had a funky smell to it.

The room was disgusting. Trash and a giant stain in the middle of the floor. There were bleach stains all over the hallway carpet and it was just musty. The room itself had sediment and grime left in the bottom of it and all over the faucet. There was trash and food on the floor in the room. The toilet wasn’t much cleaner but the handle leaked and just left water in the floor everytime you flushed it. There was dog poop all over the lawns outside and people were smoking right in front of the doors, and it smelled like marijuana inside. I was put on the 7th floor with my disabled spouse, and every elevator violated ADA. They put trash cans in front of the buttons so we had to move them to use the elevators. No less than 3 times did the elevator try to close on the wheelchair. We requested the late checkout and were confirmed to have that. Except before we could check out they had housekeeping slamming on our door, nearly 45 minutes before late checkout and they insisted they were never told. On top of this when we did get ready to leave we were locked out of our room because the cards automatically expire despite us having the late checkout. This meant my disabled spouse was locked away from their medications and personal belongings which include emergency medicine. This should never happen.

Everything was damp. All the linens, pillows, comforters felt like they were pulled from the laundry 30 min too early. The decorative pillow had dirt on it- or something else that was brown. I feel gross here.

All the supervisors were nice and the food was good but that’s all. Overnight general staff was very unprofessional and dismissive. There were roaches in my first room and the AC didn’t work in our second room. Hot tub isn’t cleaning regularly and had lots of dirt in it first thing in the morning. I got a style in my eye from sheets not being clean and not changed everyday. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone and I travel once a month around the world

We have stayed here many times (15+) since 2018 as we frequent Disney. This time we was a little more disappointed than usual due to the fact that our room was never serviced, even though we made the front desk aware. We had to walk to the lobby to obtain towel 2 times, and our trash was never removed. This hotel used to offer wonderful toiletries from cascadia, and had big fluffy bath towels, this time not so much. There was also dehumidifiers everywhere and it appears they have moisture problems. The carpet in the hallway and by the elevator had some big stains as well. The staff is very nice, and we wonder if some of the things that we are displeased over is due to staffing? Anyways, this was one of our favorite places to stay, but over time it seems to have taken “the cheap” route on some things. Maybe we will come back, but we are debating on looking at other places for our next visit in a couple of months.

We arrived and it was very busy so it took a while to check in. Once we got up to our rooms they were spacious and appeared clean. We spent time down in the pool and lazy river which were both dirtier than we expected. We got down to the pool and had to wait a half an hour before the life guards opened the lazy river even though it was past time. I woke up with bug bites twice. Once on the face and once on the arm. I am positive they had not been there before bed. Over all it was cheap enough that we stayed the entirety we had planned to. It was family friendly, the hallways did smell of weed. There was bleach stains or something in the hallways and on the chairs in our room so there must be some kind of other issue going on.

Humidity in the hotel was crazy, everything in the room was damp to the touch. Even clothes still in my suitcase were damp when I took them out after a full day in the room. When asked for a change of sheets, so I could sleep on dry sheets, they were dropped off at the door in a trash bag.

Don't need to say much more than I found literal bedbugs in my bed in the morning. The room was humid, the carpets were damp, the sheets were damp. Upon waking, I found and put THREE separate bedbugs in a bag. Staff was helpful and professional, grounds were great....but....bedbugs.

The rooms are a bit outdated but felt very clean. Was very crowded the weekend we were there so hard to find a parking spot. Did not supply a coffee machine for either tea or coffee. Had to go down stairs for that.

The hotel was nice, clean, but dated. The beds were very comfortable, and the shower had nice pressure. TV was big, however, there was no TV guide, and not easy to find channels. Sadly, we spent more time in the room than we had planned. We booked this hotel because of its lazy river, but unfortunately, we were unable to use it. The lazy river opens later than the pool so no morning floating...it opens later in the day than we'd like, and unfortunately, the weather kept us from enjoying it in the evening. Our room was "upgraded" at check-in, however, I caution you, a pool view comes with the noise from the pool area on all floors. We would request no pool view next time. We stayed on a holiday weekend and there were many families with lots of kids running up and down the hallways...you could hear everything in the hallways..."paper thin walls" as my husband would say. The restaurant is not open for dinner, only breakfast, but you can eat at the poolside bar and grille...if you're looking for a quick bite, it's fine, but by no means is it a sit-down dinner...everything is served in to-go containers. The breakfast buffet was more of a continental breakfast as opposed to an actual buffet, however, it was included with our room so no real complaints.

We stayed for 3 nights at the Red Lion. The rooms are freezing and when you turn the air up it only goes up to 75. We ended up turning on the heat, but that too would only go up to a certain temperature. We eventually just turned the AC off, but it was still freezing. It's so cold that it makes the sheets and floor feel wet. The carpet is way out of date and dirty. The pool and the lazy river was the best!! They are both heated so it wasn't as cold and they also offer floats for the lazy river. Everyone was very nice and pleasant, the only thing we didn't like was how cold the rooms where and we wasn't able to get comfortable because of it.

Wifi didn’t work in our room. We informed front desk about it. They promised to take a look at it and inform us. Don’t know if they did anything about it, since it didn’t start to work any better. Wifi is important to tourists coming from out of States and don’t have the luxury to use unlimited access to internet as locals do. Hotel was clean. Bar food ok.

Stayed overnight and unfortunately had a poor room location. Room 7104 is right near the door to the outdoor pool and it was opening and slamming closed allllll night long and the sound resonated in the room. Tough night of sleep! AC was on 62 when I checked in. Brrrr Room was clean, bed is comfortable, buffet breakfast is good! I will say that the staff are always sooooo nice! They say hello and are pleasant! I will continue to stay here as it is soooo convenient and the price is great!

Easy to get to fast check in. If a bad note had to be said. They didn't tell us we have to ask to have room cleaned each day before 11am. But every thing was excellent. Already booked to stay there next month. I'll just remember to ask for room to be cleaned.

1st room I was put right by a busy street. Second rooms a.c. didnt work, and the third was decent. The front staff, though, was incredible and the reason for the 3 stars.

The front desk gave me the wrong room number to check in the keys wasn’t working the maintenance man opened the room door for me to get inside the room so I went to front desk to inform them my keys wasn’t working the young lady told me the other lady wrote down the wrong room number so me an my family had to pack up the room an switch to the right room

They have big problems at their front desk being able to handle just normal check in. Im unsure if theyre under staffed or under trained. Checkin takes between 30 minutes to an hour on the low end. Its priced reasonably, but they really need to fix check in as we have had the same problem several times.

We called the front desk numerous times thoughout the stay never an answer we stayed 2 nights 3 days ran out of towels and toliet paper. They only gave enough for 1 night never replenished anything finally got through to front desk after several attempts they said they would get us some never did had to go to walgreens to buy ice and tp. No ice machine's convenient i went to numerous areas looking. Floors had stains hair on walls sheets were dirty bought our own from wallmart wont be staying here again and wouldnt recommend it.

We had a truly disappointing and distressing experience during our recent stay. The management was unprofessional and confrontational, and the lifeguards—many of whom appeared young and untrained—were on clear power trips. They were even laughing and celebrating after calling the police and shutting down the pool, which created a traumatic situation for our children. At no point were our kids destroying property, despite what management claimed. Even the police officers on scene disagreed with the staff’s version of events but were obligated to act due to the manager’s behavior. This situation was escalated unnecessarily, and it was clear the issue stemmed from poor staff conduct, not from guests. To make matters worse, the room we stayed in smelled strongly of mold, raising concerns about cleanliness and air quality. I urge ownership to take a hard look at who is representing their property. Management and lifeguard staff need to be reevaluated, and facility maintenance clearly needs attention. What happened was unacceptable and not something any family should have to endure on vacation

Very friendly staff and a really nice location if you are going to the Disney Parks. Plenty of food and convenience stores around you to stock up your room. The hotel was very quiet while we were there which was really nice. Free parking which is a rarity. The only "complaint" I have is that when Housekeeping attended our room (they only do it every 3 days), they forgot to restock our toilet paper and wash cloths. When we got back to our room and saw this, it was late and housekeeping was gone so I had to walk down to the front desk to get it at almost midnight.

I picked this hotel as a result of the high-rating on my hotel app. The purpose of my stay because I travelled to town for a friends' birthday celebration. It was a very clean, comfortable and peaceful place. The adjacent restaurant is a very convenient touch plus the pool area amenities. Location is premium right near all the retail stores, restaurants and various services that you would need for everyday life. I noticed plenty of other families enjoying their stay in peace. I highly recommend the Red Lion Hotel. It was a perfect experience!

Super quiet and clean. Disappointed in the dining options. On site it states they have a poolside bar and cafe but you have to go inside for that I felt a little pricey. Also stated there was a Mexican restaurant on site but it was only open for breakfast “buffet “ which was a continental breakfast. I would go back for relaxing day at the pool but plan on leaving site for dinner

The hotel has a small convenient store on the 1st level that is open until midnight- it has everything you could need! The hotel itself isn’t super fancy but the bed was really comfortable and the ac worked great. The restaurant next door had breakfast (you have to pay) and it was so-so, not super bad. But it’s fine if you’re on a time crunch. Every once in a blue you could hear people in the hallway and the door would move a bit and make a sound when other people were opening/closing their doors. Again, as long as you’re not looking for fancy - just comfortable and safe - then definitely opt for the RedLion Orlando Lake Buena Vista!

I was supposed to have complimented breakfast but they said only one room was on the list! I booked two rooms at the same time and it was supposed to be breakfast for both! Very disappointed this is the first time this happened and I ❤️this hotel and so I had to pay for the breakfast!

Property was nice. Didn’t care for the restaurant inside breakfast “buffet” it was just regular hotel breakfast but charging $14.99 for what should come with your stay. If you’re going to charge, then let there be better/more options

Second time stayed. 1st time in June loved it. This time some small issues. Housekeeping cleans and made beds but never refilled toilet paper asked twice never refilled had to grab off a cart. And got stuck in elevator for a min or two guy wax working on other and I guess it caused second to get stuck.
