The hotel was absolutely gorgeous! We were able to go to the hotel right next door to enjoy the rooftop bar. The breakfast was beautiful and delicious as well. Served European style and the staff was so attentive. I will 100% stay here again when I return to Charlotte

We had a lovely stay at AC Hotel Charlotte Ballantyne. Check-in with Yaz was a breeze, staff was friendly and helpful, bar service by Rachel was excellent, rooms were clean and comfortable, the gym was great, and the location was perfect for a show at the Amp Ballantyne. Would recommend and stay again.

They make you pay an extra $12 per day for a parking fee and you are suppose to park on the 4th or 5th level. The garage was basically empty! Location was great and the people were great! Typical hotel furniture and bed/pillows! Breakfast for a fee!

The hotel has a large 8 story parking garage that is adjacent to the hotel. We stayed there on the weekend, our room was directly across the street from the said garage. Which by the way all Double Queen bed rooms are on that side. At night all the crazy's come to the parking lot playing loud music, revving their engine and screaming. Initially, we thought maybe the noise will subside after 8pm which was the end of the public parking hours. However, the noise continued on well into 11pm. We had enough of it and had complained to the hotel staff about it. They said they would send someone to investigate. Which I was looking out through my window to see if it was being done. NOTHING. The noise continued on for another half an hour. I let the staff know the next morning as well when we were checking out. Their response was that it's a frequent thing and that there is nothing they could do about it. Unbelievable. The hotels location and the little mall that it sits on was wonderful but I wouldn't recommend this hotel to families or someone who wants a peaceful night.

It was a great stay. Very clean and comfortable hotel. Modern electronic devices in bedroom. Greatand courteous staff. Enjoyed our one night stay. We were in town for Panda festival. Plan to return to the Ballentyne area and will stay at AC Hotel.

The hotel is in a great location and within walking distance of many restaurants and a pavillion witha beautiful pond. However, the room I stayed in faced the parking deck, which allowed for drivers to see inside the room. There was one driver who actually sat across in his vehicle with the lights pointed directly at the room. The room was very nice...contemporary styling. However, it appears that a previous guest may have done something to the ceiling; and paint was missing in various areas. This should be addressed, as it does not take much to repaint. The vandalism took away from the esthetics of the room. The staff was very professional and friendly; and overall, the hotel is lovely.

Unfortunately we were assigned a smaller room than we booked but because we were so tired, we didn't both to go all the way back downstairs to get it fixed. I wish they would have confirmed it with me as I checked in instead.

It was okay, my expectations were quite high based on how the hotel promotes itself. However, I became quite disappointed, even more during checkout because of their unprofessional front desk staff. I find it quite rude when I am voicing an issue/concern and the only thing I can get is someone abruptly hanging up and saying “Okay bye bye”. I’ve worked a lot of hospitality jobs and have worked in customer service for years as a team leader; if a customer is complaining about something, the staff should know how to speak professionally from beginning to end. But the lady who has short hair and worked there that New Year Morning did not do her job correctly, ruined the rest of the experience for me. First timer, won’t come again. P.S. I called to see why the other staff told me incorrect instructions; either he wasn't listening to the question I asked or he simply did not know (I doubt it).

This was a last minute booking (on a Sunday) and I was most disappointed as I sat at the front desk for 25 minutes waiting for someone to check me in. That was strange and very uncomfortable as folks were coming in and the bartender who noted they couldn’t do anything about my standing there. She was unempathetic/dismissive.

I was greeted by name when I arrived, the staff was friendly and helpful with my check in. The male manager (I didn’t get his name) was awesome and even joked about parking and tow trucks with me. We spoke to another desk clerk about a stubborn bathroom door and it was resolved when we returned to the room for the evening- IMPRESSIVE!

Perfect overall but there is a smell outside the property that reminds me of NYC sewers. Staff were awesome. Good breakfast. Rooms were modern and clean. 5/5 if it was not for the smell.

Some friends and I were in town for a girls weekend- the staff at check in was very nice. The beds were incredibly hard, and there is zero coffee available in the lobby. There was only a cold continental breakfast with coffee and tea for $20, and the staff there we asked about it was rude and asked if we 'knew what a euro buffet breakfast was and how it worked'. There was a one-cup pot in the room, but for four guests there were two servings, and two 'creamers' one of which was expired. I have never stayed at a Mariott property that didn't at least have a coffee station in the lobby for guests. Order Panera for delivery instead of paying the highway robbery for a muffin top and cantaloupe slice.
