Did not find the clerk very welcoming and check in had to be done by 10 pm. Any later and the front desk was closed. Ive stayed in many properties and this was a first. What would happen in an emergency? The doors were also on a code and not your key card. Also odd and never seen it before. Several things broken in the room, including the window. Would not recommend as a place to stay.

Very frustrating with front desk , hard to understand her! English was not her first language! Out was very noisy from traffic ! Parking lot not great for truck and trailer not big enough ! Room was clean and big !

What a beautiful property. I stayed with my dogs, the room was huge, clean and came with a kitchenette and a partition between the bed and the kitchen to make a little dining area. The ladies at the reservation desk were beyond helpful and accommodating. I recommended this property to all of my friends as well as friends travelling with pets. The price for a kitchenette room was incredible. I absolutely will stay here again

New owners were extremely suspicious of guests. Apparently they are having a problem with theft of linens. Half of the washers and dryers were out of service. Some of the staff were very nice, but others not so much.

Booked a room for the dog show and was told when we arrived that they booked me into a non pet room but nowhere on the listing were we told to inform them we were bringing dogs. The extra dog charges were ridiculous

I asked for 2 queen beds we got 2 double. I asked for non smoking which it was, but the smoking spot was right outside our door with the bathroom vent right above it. We heard everything the smokers were talking about. The doors are hollow core, so not very secure. You could hear everything. Walls in the bathroom were dirty and we even had to kill a few bugs. Disgusting

Booked two rooms, one was ok but still not very clean. One was totally not cleaned at all. They gave us another room that at first looked clean. When we came back from the movie to go to sleep, found the sheets had big stains on them. After 10:00 pm they do not have anyone at front desk. We were able to contact management and got new sheets. We had to make the bed with new sheets. Did not get much sleep. Do not recommend staying here at all.

It was nothing fancy, but the bed was new and comfortable. We didn't notice the highway really. The jacuzzi tub worked great and filled pretty fast for being so large. The only issue we had was that the fireplace made an annoying noise, so we turned that off. Breakfast was pretty minimal, but alright. Staff we nice. You just can't check in late!

A housekeeper/employee came into our room at 7:30am. We were still sleeping. It was very alarming to be interrupted from sleep in that way. When we checked out she was the also the one at the front desk. Not very professional at all to have someone enter your room!

We needed a last minute place to stay for one night while in Red Deer. All the hotels in the area were sold out and we ended up at the Western Budget, but to our surprise it was such an excellent stay! It’s a bit outdated, which is quite fine. The motel was very clean and felt secure and safe. It was quite at night as well. The sound does travel easily, as in you can hear conversations in the hallway and the noise travelling from the upstairs neighbors. But overall for the price and the cleanliness it’s a great value option. Would stay here again!

I've stayed at this property twice now only a few weeks apart. On my first visit, I was surprisingly shocked to have seen a small kitchenette in the room. For a budget hotel, that is impressive. The rooms are generally very clean and well kept. The staff up front are professional, kind, and are welcoming to the property. During my second visit a few weeks later, I noticed two minor issues, one was the room I was given ran extremely warm however maintenance discovered a heat malfunction, props to the maintenance gentleman and front desk for handling the concern with speed and efficiency, within 15 minutes they had got me a new room. Secondly, the breakfast at this hotel is to be desired, the options are very limited. All cold food, no hot food on offer. I think if they had a good complimentary breakfast, this place would do very well amongst other hotels. Overall, I would come back and stay a third time, great little property, conveniently located next to a Costco and multiple food sources.

Really needs some updating , I stayed years ago looked exactly the same from the curtains and bed spreads, tv was new Roku tv , but the programming in it, was very poor as far as I was concerned couldn’t watch a hockey game, no sports channels of anything of interest for the general Canadian sports fan, unless you like soccer or cricket. Breakfast was the bleakest I have ever seen, the staff are great , it’s been repainted but needs an updating.If it’s an overnight stay I would stay again but if you are looking for a restful stay of a couple of days probably better options. Large rooms with kitchen is great but for me the quality of the television and breakfast really isn’t great.
