Need better running equipment

Very clean and well kept hotel. Service personnel very attentive and helpful. There is a beautifully landscaped courtyard that provides a great quiet place to relax. Downsides: the pool is tiny and unheated, and the gym consists of 2 treadmills, an elliptical and a weight machine. Overall, I really recommend this place for a quiet refuge in the middle of noisy, busy Zone 10.

Beautiful hotel. Very peaceful and quiet. Safe and secure. Staffs are kind and welcoming. The hotel itself, like the welcome desk, outdoors, and restaurant were immaculate. My only complain was: Food was too costly for the portions. The bed sheets in my room weren't the cleanest, had very noticeable stains, not the cleanest room that I got. The pool is small, looks more like a water fountain.

Demasiado para lo que cuesta, pésimo internet, las condiciones de las habitaciones son muy viejas, en los 5 días sólo se hizo limpieza una vez y porque yo lo solicité, se quedaron todo un día sin agua en las habitaciones, y después estaban en obras de remodelación el ruido era excesivo.

Hotel San Carlos is truly a gem! The service was excellent from beginning to end, and the location is perfect. What truly sets this place apart is the kindness and warmth of the staff—they made us feel right at home. The property itself is stunning, a beautiful and serene space that exceeded all our expectations. Highly recommended!

I like the security of the property, the breakfast was excellent. Our room was very private, at first I was a little concerned because it was right by the pool; they assured me that the pump would be turned off at night. Which they did , the staff was very friendly and accommodating.

The hotel was very nice. The staff was friendly and professional. They offered a few items for sale at the front desk. They had a small restaurant and bar, but did not offer a lot food, but good if you just want a snack. There are good restaurants within walking distance and many tourist attractions as well. We really liked our room, which had a large window overlooking the pool. The pool was small and too cold (for me) to swim in, but pretty and enjoyable listening to the small waterfall feature. Nice outdoor sitting area in the center of the hotel to enjoy a beverage or read and relax.

Old hotel, poorly maintained, needs a lot of maintenance and remodeling. Old carpets, there was no water for a while in the room on two occasions in two afternoons. Cold and unappetizing breakfast. There is no elevator and we had to go up and down three floors. On the good side, good location and very friendly staff

My first floor room was exceptionally comfortable. The second floor room was old, smelly and had a horrible view of the adjacent building’s parking lot. They refused to allow me to change the room. The bathroom smelled of mildew.

I never ever write reviews but I have to because it was too many issues. I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights, I smelled a weird smell on the day of check in but couldn’t figure out what it was until day 2 I noticed mold on the roof in the corner near the tv n the smell was much louder in that area. There were also black ants in the bed and the towels didn’t appear clean they look as tho they needed to be washed with bleach the staff was amazing accept for the lady who oversaw the drinks & food kept coughing as tho she was sick. Overall the price wasn’t good for this hotel it’s outdated and not being kept up very well I will not stay there again.

I truly enjoy my stay. I think the hotel is very beautiful and also old, however, the shower was a bit hard to use. The water was either too hot or too cold and the walls were dirty and scratched.

Litt gammeldags, kunne gitt vann hver dag og annet... men veldig bra seng. Sov veldig godt! Og det er for meg viktigste.

Excellent service. The room is comfortable but lacks electrical outlets while tv set is small and old. Natural juices were delicious

Hotel con excelente ubicación, con muchos restaurantes a los alrededores, el personal siempre amable y nos ofrecieron un drink de cortesía, sin embargo la habitación tenía un olor fuerte a cloro y la habitación lucía vieja un poco descuidada.

Room was fine. It was a business trip but the WiFi signal was very very weak in the room and with frequent interruptions ,hard to stay present in a remote meeting. Not recommended if stay connected is a must!

The staff were very helpful and went out of their way to help me with a lost phone. They are wonderful! The property is older, but well cared for and some interesting antiques on display in halls. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful place, clean, beautiful and very convenient location right in the middle of zone 10 in Guatemala City. Great restaurants nearby and easy to move from there to everywhere in the city.

Hotel San Carlos it's a different kind of place. It takes you back to 50's or 60' nice location near La Aurora Airport I did enjoy staying here

I really enjoyed my stay, the place is very nice and the staff is great. I was able to walk to many places to eat. I will definitely stay there again

They tried to give us a room way below standard. We had a picture of the room we paid for, but we were given a crapshoot! All they had to say was: Sorry, we're under construction. We had to demand a refund and leave, or they would get us a similar standard room. They did, sort of. They "pretend they have a bar...tender. when I asked to get ( the only vodka they had) the Absolut Vodka with Red Bull, they didn't know what that was. I asked if they had cranberry juice, she looked at me like I was stupid... We dont have that in Guatemala. Strange, because I just had it in a bar the night before. I asked if we she drinks alcohol. She said: Never! The same restaurant bartender took our order for food (two times). We asked not to have onions, add broccoli, and sauce on the side. None of it happened. To top it off, the food was grossly overpriced and had zero taste. I can assure you that no matter what you get from that kitchen, it's going to be nothing but can-food and microwave enhancements. It's below terrible. Oh, and if you ask for ice at the front desk the will lie to you and say they dont have it. Although I say the ice maker (NOT locked) in the back of restaurant. Since they dont provide a refrigerator, that's just cruel. The ambiance walking in, and their little yard is cute, but no one is making it comfortable... Not recommended in any way. I would pay $50 extra per night in Guatemala the remainder of out 10 days, not to have to go through this experience again.

L'hôtel est vraiment fantastique, un peu vétuste car bâtiment historique, il manque une touche de modernité, c'est évident, mais il est bien entretenu et très joli. Une piscine dans la cour, entourée d'un jardin exotique, pour passer des heures de fainéantise allongé sur un transat avec une Margarita à la main. Les chambres spacieuses et la literie commode. Les oreillers pas très bons, j’avoue. Le Personnel vraiment attentif, super aimable, très gentils, ils méritent ma reconnaissance. La cuisine je ne recommande pas, en réalité c’est un désastre. J’ai commandé une entrée et un plat et ils m’ont tout amené au même temps. C’est une cuisine au microondes, le poulet sauce béchamel (il devait être un poulet nain), raide et sec, j’avais demandé sans sauce et ils ont mis une chose blanchâtre, liquide, avec des grumeaux, que je n’ai pas réussi à déterminer. La soupe d’haricots sans aucun intérêt, de la purée en boite diluée et réchauffée (au microondes aussi). Les Frites surgelées, évidement. Une petite serviette en papier, bas de gamme, juste pour moucher la trompe d’un moustique, contraste avec des nappes en tissu blanc sur les tables de la salle à manger.
