Extremely good value. Good red wines by the glass as befits its location. Short stay worked well for us with good parking when on way to Flinders Ranges. Good breakfast in a sensible restaurant with overall helpful staff there and on reception too.

We initially booked this hotel mainly to have access to a pool, which, unfortunately, doesn’t exist. Access was granted to the hotel’s pool next door as compensation for the misleading listing, which was appreciated, but still disappointing. We also requested that our room be cleaned and towels changed, but nothing was done until we followed up around 3 PM, only to be told we had supposedly opted for their “$10 green voucher” program, which we never did. It turned into an unnecessary discussion just to have basic service. The hotel itself feels outdated and poorly maintained. You can smell the old carpets, hear everything happening in the neighbouring rooms, and even the traffic outside. On two of our four nights, we were also kept awake by loud, drunk guests from functions held on the property. Overall, despite the staff’s attempts to accommodate, the experience was disappointing, and we wouldn’t stay here again.

The Terrace Hotel is a well located hotel on South Terrace. All the shopping is over a mile away on the northern side of the CBD but Adelaide is a very easy city to navigate and get around. There is fairly limited parking at the hotel which tends to fill up by early evening.

Lovely and homely feel, very nice staff. Rooms are well equiped with tv, fridge, iron etc. Nice bar and restaurant. Laundry is a big plus for travellers on long trips. Very close to King William St and pulteney street for food, and close to tram and fairly close to Rundle mall. Lovely green park opposite for running. Some bits of hotel bit run down, bath could be cleaner, room was pretty cold. But these are minor comments, this is a lovely hotel.

Well, what a dreadful, dirty experience staying at The Terrace Hotel was! I took my daughter and 2 Grandchildren for a surprise trip to the Pageant, we arrived Friday at 6pm to be told that the carpark was full and I would have to park on the street. It was not stated that spaces were limited on the website and that you should book ahead. Man behind desk was quite surly, after 2 hours of travel, not what you want. I then booked breakfast for Sunday morning. When we got to the room it was quite disgusting, it needed a good clean. Stained cushions and curtains. The bathroom had black mould and the floor was disgraceful. Cigarette butts on balcony and all over the tin roof under it. The conditioner in shower was curdled, gross. We arrived back after the Pageant at 11am, our room had yet to be cleaned. We were just settling down for a rest when housekeeping came. I asked nicely if she could please give us an hour. I got a look from the woman that was almost an eye roll but she agreed to come back later. She didn’t return. We left after lunch and on the way out I asked at reception if he could have someone clean our room please, he said yes. It never got cleaned. Our bins were full, our toilet paper ran out, it was awful. Under the bed was sickening, popcorn, pencils, dust and filth, not ours. Sunday morning and we head down for breakfast to be told that there was no booking and the dining room was full but we could eat outside, in the cold, if we wanted. Worst experience ever!

Unfortunately the cleaning left a lot to desired. We put our sign out for our room to be done 3 times in the 13 days we stayed Every time we had to go to reception to tell them it had not been cleaned. On arrival our room did not appear to have been thouroughly cleaned. We also had a blocked basin which I cannot believe the cleaners did not advise maintenance. Bathroom had broken fixtures. Otherwise our room was spacious with a beautiful view.

The location is great and the price reasonable. Onsite parking was a plus. Staff were mostly helpful and easy to deal with. Food options limited to breakfast that had almost no vegan options. Main concern was the poor level of cleanliness. The bathroom in the room was not cleaned properly and I found a sock under my bed when we arrived so vacuuming hit and miss like all of the cleaning. Hi, my room wasn’t serviced for two days and when I asked for it to be serviced, the cups weren’t renewed or the the rubbish changed. I also came back to my front door being opened. As a single women travelling it made me feel incredibly unsafe. I mentioned it to someone at the desk but felt dismissed by their response

Great location with views of the hills. Hotel lift was grubby when we arrived- dirty floor wasn’t cleaned for a whole day. Room smelled a bit of old smoke. The room door had scuffs and marks like someone had tried to break in. One lift out of order for several days. No sign of it being fixed.

Good evening meals; staff are very helpful; cleanliness of carpet and upholstery very poor. Mold in bathrooms under sealants; fridge kept freezing over; bed great; asked to change room after first one had bad smelling pillows. Both rooms on 6th floor. I stayed for 6 nights, rechoosing the hotel after having an upgraded room on 9th floor for one night, before a hospital stay. So second stay was a dissapointment. Just needs intensive clean. Hotel lobby and restaurant/bar all good. Room service meals hot, staff amazing - special shout out to Reevan!

It took 3 room changes in middle of the night to get one where the glass patio doors didn’t rattle despite me stuffing with tissues and locks and handles loose. Not an isolated case as others also complained at breakfast and the drafts caused whistling and the curtains to blow outwards. Staff were very understanding and accommodated my move each time but not much sleep. Also walls thin so noisy neighbours

Have stayed here before and was disappointed in how the room standard has dropped. The couch was missing one of its back cushions, the table was so unsteady that you could not safety put a drink on it, only one chair was provided at the table, meaning you had to move the unmatching desk chair, the bed had only two pillows and there were no spare blankets.

I was very unlucky. I stayed on the 11th floor which is good but my bedhead backed onto the elevator shaft so all I heard was the lift going up and down all night. Didn't get any sleep. do not ask for room 1113

Die Lage des Hotels ist gut. Die Haltestellen von Bus und Tram sind in wenigen Gehminuten erreicht. Eine bunte Auswahl an Pubs, Bistros und Restaurants ist ebenfalls fußläufig erreichbar. Der Zustand des Hotels ist in Ordnung. Mein Zimmer hatte sichtbare Gebrauchsspuren, war aber okay. Die Balkontür war undicht. Die Matratze war etwas zu weich. Das WLAN-Signal war in meinem Zimmer recht schwach. Das Frühstücksbuffet variierte nicht. Es gab jeden Morgen die gleiche Auswahl an Speisen. Die Wäscherei im ersten Stock war in Ordnung. Sowohl die Waschmaschinen als auch die Wäschetrockner funktionierten einwandfrei.

Some of the furnishings are very tired and need upgrading. The showers require climbing into a bath, and may prove difficult for those who are elderly and/or infirm.

I have a very mixed review of my stay at The Terrace Horel. Convenient location in Adelaide. Not quiet, paper thin walls you can hear your neighbours constantly mixed with a busy road out front. Road is bad for noise, but great for public transport or Uber access. The room was surface level clean, but overall it is in dire need of a deep clean: dirty curtains, dirty walls, an unkept drain and some dust here and there. Nice balcony spot with views of the city, walkable to lots of restaurants. In-hotel dining room is not gluten free friendly. Lack of room service was not at all convenient. I live with a pain condition and trying to get service up to the room even then was not possible, I missed breakfast one morning beacuse of being unable to get myself to the downstairs dining room. Really friendly staff members, but took two visits to the front desk and a follow-up phone call just to receive a fresh towel. It’s left me with a really mixed feeling of my stay..! Good for a convenient location, but certainly not somewhere I would ever have a romantic weekend.

Overall an enjoyable stay. Did have an issue with the lack of housekeeping. Our room was not attended to once even after leaving the sign on the door to request to freshen room up. After arriving back to our room on the 3rd night and discovering it still had not been touched I spoke with the gentleman on reception and he was wonderful and very apologetic. He went above and beyond and even offered my son & I a free buffet breakfast for the following morning to help make amends. He also personally gave us fresh towels & coffee sachets for the next morning to tide us over. The only other issue I found was the morning we left to go home we asked the reception if they could call a taxi to take us to the airport. After waiting out the front of the hotel for about 10 minutes eventually our ride arrived. Surprisingly it wasn’t a taxi but a limo cab. As it was early on a Sunday morning with no peak hour traffic and a much quicker journey we assumed our fare would not cost anywhere near what it was when we arrived by taxi to the hotel from the airport being a late Wednesday arvo and a much longer drive. I was taken aback when we were charged $52.75 in comparison to $37.56 by the standard taxi cab. I requested a taxi not a Limo cab and I was pretty peeved that my request wasn’t adhered to and found myself out of pocket financially.

The service was not amazing, not friendly or welcoming. A nice enough place for the price. Needs a good deep clean. The bathroom was clean on surface but that was about it. The service was disappointing. Our check in was delayed by almost 2 hours as the room was not ready. It was disappointing to hear the reception staff speaking poorly about their housekeeping staff. It was frustrating to have to wait this time without parking.

Extremely good value. Good red wines by the glass as befits its location. Short stay worked well for us with good parking when on way to Flinders Ranges. Good breakfast in a sensible restaurant with overall helpful staff there and on reception too.

The location is great and the price reasonable. Onsite parking was a plus. Staff were mostly helpful and easy to deal with. Food options limited to breakfast that had almost no vegan options. Main concern was the poor level of cleanliness. The bathroom in the room was not cleaned properly and I found a sock under my bed when we arrived so vacuuming hit and miss like all of the cleaning. However, the location is very convenient.

The food service closed at 8.30pm apparently. I walked in at 8.15pm and was somewhat surprised to be told no table service. Managed to get some room service but very grudgingly. Surface of shower over bath was extremely slippery and no mat to prevent slipping. Breakfast service was brusque to say the least.... and extremely over priced. Not a great stay. Some staff were amazing, room was very clean, others need a brush up on customer service.

Everything terrific - staff great - though one of the reception girls had no idea where anything was. l was okay with it l guess as l used google, but thats not everyone 's way. Also it would have been better to have dinner time service. Breakfast was very good though

The reception staff member was delightful and so helpful. He's always so nice. The room wasnice and clean and the bed was so comfortable for a great sleep. The restaurant was nice and staff were pleasant. Menu choices were good but servings could have been a little bigger for the price. $16 for half a bowl of soup is a bit pricey and the salad would have been nicer if served in a separate bowl rayher than on a hot plate which made it wilted and less enjoyable. Otherwise the food is nice and I'll stay again because the accommodation is good value. One thing I was a bit unsure about was the deep bath which was a bit concerni g to step out of as I have arthritis. Perhaps extra grab rails would benefit? The shower was lovely and hot and the supplies of shampoo, conditioner and body wash were lovely.

The hotel is well priced and well located in the Adelaide CBD. It is a little south of the action, but it is a reasonably short walk or tram ride to Rundle Mall etc. The room was large, clean and modern - I have no complaints. Recommended.
