The hotel was clean and quiet. Conveniently located close to a tram stop. Only negative thing is they don’t have a ramp for luggages and stroller. You have to carry your luggage a few flight of stairs going into the lobby

Overall this was a nice place to stay. If you have a car, however, it is a bit confusing to know where to go for check in and bringing bags in is a bit of a nuisance since there are only stairs in the parkade. There is a service elevator at the back but then have to pull bags through the restaurant and it feels a bit weird. The location overall is good depending what you desire to do and would recommend renting a bike for the day to get where you want to go. The overall vibe of hotel was nice and the staff was also friendly and down to earth. The room was cleaned each day although always seemed to be missing some stock items like water or milk and our body wash was empty and not filled. But the desk was always happy to provide. The rooms could also benefit from some robes, possibly? It has such a cozy cool home vibe that it seemed robes would be fitting (but that is just a personal touch that I would like - not anything to do with the hotel itself). Overall, a great place to stay.

Hôtel très bien placé à quelques arrêts de tram du centre, décoration chaleureuse, le bar est top avec ambiance et très bons cocktails. L’équipe est super sympathique que ce soit le bar man ou à l’ accueil. Les chambres pour 4 sont parfaites avec des ados, elles sont spacieuses et confortables avec canapé et table. Dans la chambre on entend par contre énormément les voisins marche au dessus jusque tard le soir (chambre 401) ce n’est peut être pas le cas de toutes.

Lovely and interesting hotel. Good rooms. Very friendly staff who had loads of advice. Area isn’t bad - it’s about 5 mins from central station on the tram - which stops close to the hotel. My only gripe is a lack of gym, and an extortionate amount to use the local gym (17 euros)!!!

The hotel is wonderful, it is beautiful and has a great restaurant and bar. We loved the access to bicycles. The bar is really good!! We loved our view of the water and the friendly staff. We will for sure be back!

Some teething issues, which could be due to the relatively new ownership by Hoxton? e.g. the bar in the evening had run out of snacks in the evening (not great when the kitchen is closed already, too) with limited cocktail availability. Breakfast is really nice but rather expensive for what it is

독특한 디자인 감각의 실내 가구 배치가 인상적인 호텔이다. 옛날 건물을 활용한 것이 좋은 인상을 주었지만 동시에 정면 계단이나 여러 입구의 문지방 턱이 가방을 끌고 움직이기 불편했다. 정규적인 하우스키핑 서비스를 생략하고 고객의 요청이 있을 때만 방을 치워주는 시스템은 환경 보호 차원에서 동의하지만 다른 방법을 시도할 필요가 있을 듯하다. 갈 필요없는 타월까지 무조건 일괄/기계적으로 바꿔버리는 외주업체의 방식은 환경보호에 역행하는 일인 듯. 고객은 ‘쓰레기 치워 주세요,’ ‘휴지 주세요’하고 일일이 번거롭게 환경보호 하는데 일조하는데 호텔은 비용 절감하는 것 외에 무슨 노력을 하는지 궁금함. 처음 체크인 했을 때도 방 살림살이에 먼지가 잔잔히 깔려 있었고 5박 체류 중 한번 방 청소 요청 이후에도 먼지는 마찬가지. 혹스턴 로이드는 언제 먼지 닦는 청소 할까요? 냉방 시설 없는데 창문은 제대로 열리지 않고 이상스럽게 방이 항상 더움. 선풍기 하나로 해결 안 되었어요. 새로운 운영 방법을 개발해서 호텔의 좋은 위치와 풍광을 고객들이 더, 그리고 오래 즐길 수 있도록 분발하기를!

Anything is possible for Hotel but I just would have to take some points off because I should not have to ask for my room to be cleaned let alone be given clean towels. They let me in at three in the morning, which was really nice because I had some personal circumstances involved, but that doesn’t mean that I can excuse them for not providing me with clean towels until I complain about it.

Nice hotel, with a nice design. Located conveniently and easy to get into and around the city. We stayed in a room with bunk beds and down the side of the beds was rubbish that had been stuffed and missed by the cleaners. Walls could do with a little looking after. Also not the properties fault but we were placed in a room at the front right of the building and every morning (even on weekends) were waken by lorry’s outside making a lot of noise.

Reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We can't comment on the food as we ate elsewhere. The hotel was conveniently located to transportation. View from the bed and room was nice. Bed was comfortable. First impression of room was negatively impacted by the condition of the carpet which was well worn as well as in need of a good vacuuming.

The hotel itself was lovely, clean rooms and plenty of space for the family. The staff however were a shambles. We turned up at 15:00 (check in was from 14:00) and had no room ready, and they could not tell us when I would be ready. We had to leave out bags and head out. There was no apology or explanation. Once we returned (at about 21:00) we had no towels and they didn’t have any to spare. No showers that day. The breakfast staff were rude, slow, and unaccommodating (my request for an omelette was met with a firm “no” with zero explanation). We had to ask multiple times for drinks which took upwards of 40 minutes to arrive (although other people’s did arrive a few times). I tend to prefer a buffet and this was a set breakfast menu with no rush at all, or flexibility. Nobody seemed at all interested in the customer experience. There were clearly not enough staff on for all 3 days. We will not be returning.

Our room was in the basement. It was hot. Dark and along the street level which was loud with people walking along the hotel. They were loud and smoking which was extra bothersome because we had to open the window due to the heat. There was a party happening right above us. The music and people were. Extremely loud. It was a party. We left the hotel at 4a with zero sleep.

Overall, I had a great stay. The design of the hotel was stylish and thoughtfully curated—modern, with a sophisticated color palette that I really loved. The only downside was the noise from the room above. Every late night and early morning, I could clearly hear footsteps overhead, and even the ceiling light fixture in my room would rattle with a metallic or glass-clinking sound. It was quite unsettling and affected my rest. If the sound insulation between floors could be improved, it would make the experience so much better. That said, the aesthetic of the space was beautiful, and I truly appreciated the hotel’s unique and elevated design.

Lovely hotel. Very tastefully decorated in an art deco theme. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. There's a train stop just across the road to take you into town. Rooms are very well equipped. Breakfast was of good quality. Would definately recommend.

This is honestly one of the best hotels I have stayed at. From the attention to design to the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff to the size of the rooms, I was really impressed. As soon as you walk in you feel like you are in a special building. This was once a hotel for the Lloyd company for people exiting Europe in the early part of the century. Then became a jail for youths, then back to a hotel and recently renovated by the Hoxton company. I strongly recommend taking the breakfast option which has a delicious à la carte selection. There are a few local restaurants within 5 minute walk and a great grocery store right in front. Downtown Amsterdam is only a 10 minute bike ride along the water.

Loved the rain shower and the view from the windows. Very historical but functional hotel. Need something to eat but don’t want to leave the hotel? No problem, they have a substantial menu! The check-in service was exemplary. Will return to this hotel again when we come back to Amsterdam.

From the moment we checked into the hotel the staff couldn’t have done enough for us. From little touches in the room, to the customer service was excellent. We stayed in the family room (bunk bed) and our kids loved it, it was like having separate rooms. The room was very comfortable and clean and was susprised how spacious it was. Ideal for family city break. Facilities to make tea and coffee which always helps. Nice coffee shop across the street- bit pricey and grocery store handy for those snacks for the room. Less than 10 minutes to Central Station on the tram. The closest tram stop is less than 5 minutes walk from the hotel easy access.

Beautiful historic property with friendly staff, but our stay was impacted by a long check-in delay and an AC issue. When we dropped our bags at 11 am, we were told our room had AC. Returning at 4:15 pm (check-in 2 pm), we still waited over 45 minutes after being told “10 minutes.” The room we finally received did not have AC, and with the hotel fully booked, we couldn’t switch. Fans were provided, but it wasn’t the comfortable experience we’d hoped for.

The hotel had a lot of original features which was charming. The staff on reception were great and both check in and out was very smooth. Our room was clean and well stocked. The hotel is very close to Rietlanden tram station, which takes you to Amsterdam Centraal in no time. Unfortunately our experience in the restaurant was disappointing, the service was very slow and uncoordinated. Maybe the staff were new or they were short staffed. What ever the problem was, we went elsewhere for our evening meals.

My family of 4 absolutely adored this hotel. We had a room with bunks for my 13 and 11 year olds and the rooms were large considering we are in Europe the the room sizes tend to be small. The safe had an issue and we were checked in 2 hours late however they tripped over themselves trying to make it better. They were simply delightful. We would stay here again. There are two locations. This one is closest to the cruise port. The other is in the city. We accidentally went to that one first and the staff there were phenomenal as well. We would stay at either any time.

This is a beautiful property in a historic building near the water. The staff were very friendly and helpful and gave us a warm welcome to the hotel. The location is fantastic for connections to the tram and bus lines going to Centraal Station. Breakfast buffet was very good with many options. The rooms and common areas are filled with character, the beds were the most comfortable of our trip. Would definitely stay again!

Great hotel with excellent tram links to Amsterdam centrum and central railway station. Lovely neighbourhood vibe with cafes, restaurants and shopping right outside. You can also take walks along the river from the front of the hotel. I'd recommend the hotel if you want to visit Amsterdam but not have your hotel right in the tourist mayhem.

The staff are what makes this property even more amazing. It is beautiful and in a lovely quiet area but two tram stops from ce real station on the east side docks. Beautiful quaint shops around it and the rooms are so clean and comfy. Staff cannot do enough to help. Add breakfast on when booking .. it’s amazing. Thankyou for a lovely stay.

Amazing stay! This property was 2 stops away from Central station- it was less than 10 minutes door and door and very easy. We loved the area where the hotel was- right on the water with walking/running paths. The restaurant in the hotel was also exceptional with great food. The breakfast was awesome and dinner was fantastic. We travelled with kids and it was perfect. We would also stay at this hotel without kids. Great vibe.

Neat retro hotel. Staff were amazing and very helpful. Borrowed some bikes from the hotel and had a nice ride along the water. Hotel resteraunt was decent, only con was the food and coffe was not hot and they ran out of Hollandaise sauce so no eggs bennys.
