The condo we stayed in was great! Was clean and comfortable upon arrival. The outdoor pool and huge hot tub are awesome and the sauna is a nice addition too. There is also a full change room and washrooms just below the pools. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. All of us who stayed, said we would absolutely stay there again and would recommend! Price is very reasonable for what you get.

Jets on hot tob not working. People in room above us were very loud - 5am wakeup call, sounded like they were going to come through the floor. Parking was always an issue. They should have a limit of vehicles per room. I have stayed here multiple times and I think this will be my last time. On a side note: friendly staff and best hot tub views in Banff.

The fireplace in the lodge was really nice. We enjoyed the hot tub but the jets didn’t work at all and the sauna wasn’t hot. The room was clean but had a smell of smoke bc of the fireplace. Loved the easy access to transportation downtown. Secluded enough but close to town. We enjoyed our stay :)

Tiles missing in the hot tub, jets need maintenance as well. BBQ’s need to be able to work on auto start not using an extended lighter - even then some don’t start and components are worn out on them. Tried three different ones and finally the fourth one started - luckily. You shouldn’t have to leave your raw food to run and get a lighter from the front desk. - Anyways…..

We stayed at the Resort for 9 nights in Sept. We found the rooms to be clean, the staff to be outstanding and the overall trip to be everything that we expected. The location in Banff allowed us to visit everything that we wanted to see which was within driving distance from our location. The hot tubs and the sauna were something that we enjoyed every night. The parking was tight when full but additional parking is available in the underground parking facility. The town is walkable from this location and we enjoyed many meals in Banff. If in Banff again, I would pick this location again.

The outdoor hot tub with mountain views are amazing! The place was clean, loved the free bus passes and fire wood for your very own personal fireplace. We love the BBQs and kitchenette and also didn’t mind the 15 min walk into town. They even had free hot chocolate provided for your enjoyment out by the fireplace. Unfortunately, the hot pools were very crowded even during off season in November. The only other major complaint is the sound quality between suites. We could hear EVERYTHING! If your a light sleeper and value sleep all the extras about this place may deter you. We slept great on days we had quiet neighbours otherwise your at their mercy. We had a couple below us that talked until 3am. Then on our last night stay we had a loud child that literally bounced off the walls starting at 5am-8:30am (ended at 8:30am as that when the pool opened lol) otherwise Hidden Ridge is quite magical.

Hidden Ridge Resort was an incredible experience. I only stayed for one night, but it did not disappoint. My buddy and I came for the Banff skijoring event, and we absolutely loved our stay. My favorite parts were the mountain views from the hot pool, the sauna, and the super convenient location right beside the bus station. The free transit tickets they provide were a huge bonus. The wood-burning fireplace added such a cozy touch, and the heated floors in the pool area were an awesome detail I didn’t know I needed. Even the washroom facilities were clean and well-designed. There were so many little details that made the stay feel special. On top of that, the staff were kind and friendly, and everything was smooth with little to no wait time. Honestly, an incredible experience. I’ll probably book the same place again next year.

Room was not cleaned well any of the days. Tissue was not replenished, toilet paper forgotten twice, floor not vacuumed on any day, soap in the washroom not refilled and chimney not cleaned. We had a big problem with ventilation after using the fire place once. The whole place filled with smoke and the smell stay for the duration of our stat although we kept the windows and balcony opened as much as we could. Also people used marijuana below or right next to us and we had the constant smell everywhere in our home. It was so bad that it the night we had to open windows because both the disgusting smell of people smoking in their rooms plus the fire smell really spoiled our time here. I feel people should know that this property is in dire need of deep cleaning and updating. I was stunned by the poor quality of the accommodations, especially relative to the price we paid. The carpet was filthy with huge stains all over it. The walls and doors were full of grime that could have been cleaned, but clearly has not been. Everything is extremely dated and old. I'm sure the unit has not been remodeled in decades and only cleaned at a surface level. Additionally, there is no temperature control in the summer unless you want to open ground floor windows, which does not feel safe overnight. Further, both windows were unlocked when we arrived, which we would not have known had we not opened them for a few minutes of fresh air. We spent as little time in the room as possible, which was disappointing since this was meant to be a nice break from an extended camping trip. On top of everything else, we returned to our room being unlocked -- front door not fully closed -- after being gone all day. The person who came to clean did not take the time to properly close the front door. I would not expect any of these problems for a hotel at this price point, even in an expensive city. We tried to cancel the second night of our reservation due to the negative experience, but did not receive any help from the property or Expedia. Both representatives said it was up to the other party, which just added to the frustration.

The staff was lovely. The pool area was being jack hammered. Loud and dusty. Not relaxing at all. The room had carpet that was stained, smelly and gross. The glasses in the cupboard were not clean. The shower was unclean and mold in the grout. A heavy smoke smell from the fireplace which was not cleaned out. No air conditioner and the fan were dusty. The screen on the window near the door was broke.

We made the best of it, but it was one let down after another. We have been coming here for 15 years, and it’s never been a luxury getaway. But it’s so rundown now I wouldn’t recommend staying here. Unless you’re 20 and going to party with 10 people in your room like the suite on top of us. The hottub is their money maker, and it was freezing, the sauna was very cold as well, too cold to sit in. The pool was filled with debris from the wind the day before. Quite a few people complained about this and the answer was always “maintenance has been called”. Went inside for a hot chocolate, only the find there was no water, no problem, asked for the young Asian lady working behind the counter to fill it up for us. She came back with a carafe filled with lukewarm tap water. Awesome. 0/10 for effort. The unit was EXTREMELY RUNDOWN and FILTHY. It has not been vacuumed, hair and dirt all over the floors, the walls looked scary they were so dirty. I think someone stole the photo on the wall because it was bare. The furniture has never changed since we’ve been coming and it shows. Very dirty couch and scratched up tables. The carpet was scary, we didn’t walk on it with our bare feet that’s how bad it was.

There’s no AC and not even mention on the imformation of the room. The poctures here in expedia wasn’t updated and you’ll get different approach when you see the place. less your expectation. :( The room isn’t that clean, lots of dust on counter tops. The washroom wasn’t maintain clean, the conditioner dispenser was leaking and I almost slip and hit my head on the tub.

Upon check in, areas of the room were noticing dirty and unkept - dirty around the toilet and on the bathroom floor, dishes in the cupboards were put away dirty and needed to be rewashed. Stairs were covered in ice and not shoveled, patio had a foot of snow on it and was unusable, kitchen tiles where the floor meets the cupboards were dirty and clearly unwashed, Bath tub was plugged an did not drain and bathroom sink was leaking on the floor. Hotel staff eventually brought a bucket at 9:30pm once we were in bed. This is our third year in this hotel and will likely not stay again after this trip.

Definitely in need of some upgrades and cleaning. The room was very dated and could hear the neighbors stomping around. The kitchen and bathroom had bugs and just very dated. The hot tub jets didn’t work and was very dated and dirty. Location was great and free shuttle to town was a plus.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Our condo was very dirty, with visible grime on the kitchen cupboards and doors, the carpet was filthy. When I went to preheat the oven, I found a half-eaten pizza left from a previous guest. We enjoyed the fireplace and hot tub and tried not to be bothered by the dirt. As a group of 7 our accommodation options in Banff are limited. I was disappointed as we recalled Hidden Ridge fondly. It seems that upkeep is lacking on what was a great place.

I liked how close it is located to downtown Banff. The spa pool could use a little uofrade, tiles look old, but the scenery from the pool is amazing. Would be nice if they had breakfast at the facility. The condos are comfortable but very basic. Bathroom downstairs in the 2 bedroom loft condos is extremely small, specially the stand in shower.

Pool area was spectacular with beautiful views. Loved the condo type room. Location is peaceful and quiet, away from the huddle of downtown. The bus stop is steps from the property so easy to get around. There is no air conditioning, not a big deal as it cooled down in the evening but may be an issue in the summer. Would stay at the property again!

I booked a one bedroom, deluxe condo, for 8 days The photos were pretty misleading. We ended up in a basement unit that lacked natural light and was much smaller than shown in the booking pics. There was zero notice that we would be in a basement unit. If I would have known this, I would have not book it. The walls are thin and you can hear everything. The couple next to us got into a loud verbal agruement one afternoon and we had to intervene. The people above us were naturally loud checking in and out, and getting ready to ski every morning. Our toliet broke and our bedframe fell apart, tv's are small and the cable had a poor connection and very basic channels. I booked a one bedroom, deluxe condo, for 8 days The photos were pretty misleading. We ended up in a basement unit that lacked natural light and was much smaller than shown in the booking pics. There was zero notice that we would be in a basement unit. If I would have known this, I would have not book it. The walls are thin and you can hear everything. The couple next to us got into a loud verbal agruement one afternoon and we had to intervene. The people above us were naturally loud checking in and out, and getting ready to ski every morning. Hidden Ridge is a beautiful property and maintained well on the exterior. The interiors need an upgrade. The premium deluxe condo was terrific, but the deluxe condo we moved into later looked a bit worn. Nonetheless, with the small kitchens and dining areas, it was a great stay.

We specifically asked for a top floor room so that we wouldn't have people stomping around above us. We didn't find out until we arrived at the resort that ALL of their one bedroom units are in the basements of the other two and three bedroom units, and low and behold their is zero acoustic barrier between the floors, so we had near constant foot stomping going on at all hours. At one point well past their listed quiet time, we had to call the desk to see if they could corral the herd of elephants above us. Had we known that all the one bedroom units were below ground units right after booking, we would have either upgraded our room, or booked a different resort. They sent us a message immediately after we booked, saying "they'd do their best to accommodate," knowing full well that they couldn't because we'd booked a one bedroom unit. On the day of our arrival they said all the other units were booked, so we couldn't upgrade. They also said the people in the unit above ours were leaving in two days, but then they booked another family in that room immediately afterwards, so that was just useless information. The property is beautiful, if a bit outdated in some places, and well worth the price IF you're staying in a two or three bedroom unit. So, word to the wise, don't book a one bedroom unit if you don't want to deal with the constant stomping of feet above you.

The outdoor hot tub with mountain views are amazing! The place was clean, loved the free bus passes and fire wood for your very own personal fireplace. We love the BBQs and kitchenette and also didn’t mind the 15 min walk into town. They even had free hot chocolate provided for your enjoyment out by the fireplace. Unfortunately, the hot pools were very crowded even during off season in November. The only other major complaint is the sound quality between suites. We could hear EVERYTHING! If your a light sleeper and value sleep all the extras about this place may deter you. We slept great on days we had quiet neighbours otherwise your at their mercy. Usually love HR. We’ve stayed here lots. This time was different. Our first room had a blown light bulb, and the heat nor the hot water did not work. We inquired multiple times for maintenance to come inspect our room, and we did have the light fixed but the heat and the hot water was still not working hours later. We ended up being moved to a different room and had limited time to make our restaurant reservation downtown because of this. The new room was smaller but atleast we had hot water and heat. Not the worst deal and I get it - that these things happen. But my question is just how doesn’t house keeping or the staff realize that the issues like this are present before having guests move into these rooms, unpack everything, just to have to move later. We’re definitely going to be back but just wanted to express that this time, I wasn’t overly impressed. The staff were very friendly and accommodating however.

We traveled with a family of 5. Rooms are spacious and have a kitchen and full size refrigerator. This allowed us to have some meals in the room. The hotel is not in the middle of downtown like others, but public transit is easily accessible. There’s a stop right next to the hotel. This also means that you are not near all the downtown noise. We loved the pool, with a great view! The staff was great and rooms were clean. Would definitely stay here again!

Not a friendly front desk agent at check in. Room had not been cleaned from previous guest. Snow not shoveled from steps. Not very apologetic when told about the room not being cleaned from previous guest. Asked to send someone to help us move our stuff to the room they moved us to. Was told they have nobody to help. We got a suite that was on the lower level. The people above were making so much noise that I couldnt sleep. When I brought this up with the front desk they were so inderstanding and moved us to one of the upper suites at no cost. They made sure our stay was enjoyable and made it supper easy to approach them at any time. We will be coming vack here again!!

Hidden Ridge Resort was an incredible experience. I only stayed for one night, but it did not disappoint. My buddy and I came for the Banff skijoring event, and we absolutely loved our stay. My favorite parts were the mountain views from the hot pool, the sauna, and the super convenient location right beside the bus station. The free transit tickets they provide were a huge bonus. The wood-burning fireplace added such a cozy touch, and the heated floors in the pool area were an awesome detail I didn’t know I needed. Even the washroom facilities were clean and well-designed. This is my second time staying here. I went with my sisters and nieces for a girls getaway and our little dog. They had a clean little doggy bed waiting for us and clean dog dishes. We also got a free bottle of delicious wine. My fav thing about this place is the hot and cool tubs. It's really beautiful, peaceful, and great for families, or romantic get aways. There's also a bus that will take you into town. It's a gem 💎 of Banff. ♥️

The beautiful view from the hot tub is the selling point of this hotel for me. Easy to walk to shops & restaurants or bus is right there too & the resort will give you a free bus pass. The rooms are clean & comfortable, but starting to show its age. Wood burning fireplace is nice.

Great stay - the picture of the hot tub with the view sold this to me and I loved relaxing there. Staff were really helpful and room was nice and spacious. I was travelling alone and had a couple of meals at the hostel nearby so quite convenient. The free bus into town works really well.

Be ready to ear the train every hour or so. The hot tubs are cleaned and nice. Unfortunately, the one on the picture and the one next to it are NOT HOT TUBS. They are at mild temperature at best. There is a real hot tub (which could be warmer tho) but this one gets too crowded. They do not offer breakfast, not even some fruits or muffins ... and you won't find any place near by to get food. You'll need a car to get some. The shower may be tricky. You have to PULL HARD ON THE KNOB and I mean really hard. On the bright side, the Deluxe Condo, 1 Bedroom (Loft) was big enough for our family (4 adults) and more. bes were comfortable. The kitchen area provides all you need with a good size refrigerator. The fire place is nice and the wood is free. They have underground parking

I liked how close it is located to downtown Banff. The spa pool could use a little uofrade, tiles look old, but the scenery from the pool is amazing. Would be nice if they had breakfast at the facility. The condos are comfortable but very basic. Bathroom downstairs in the 2 bedroom loft condos is extremely small, specially the stand in shower.

We did a bit of research before we booked, we checked it out on YouTube and it did not disappoint. The view from the tubs are amazing. If your lucky youll see a small herd of deer and even some elk during your soak or around the reaort. The staff were so friendly and went out of thier way to make sure you had a great stay. The apartments have fully stocked kitckens for cooking, even have bbqs for guest use. They also provided bus passes so we could park and enjoy the sights of downtown without having to pay for parking. We will definitely be returning.

The outdoor Hot tub, Heated pool and Sauna make for a mini nordic Spa experience with the mountains as a backdrop. The fire in the lobby with seating, fresh coffee and refreshments is a cozy setting to read a book and be able to view the pool area. There is a book shared library as well. We stayed in a loft suite with 2 beds upstairs and were delightfully surprised to find a half bathroom upstairs! Great for middle of the night use, with a full bath downstairs beside the downstairs bathroom. The kitchen has all the supplies needed for basic cooking, and the porch had chairs to sit on as well. The only issue we had was smoke coming into the unit when we lit a fire but that could have been user error. They also supply fans in the units which we appreciated. The only reason this isn't a 4 is because some of the esthetic is tired and needs a refresh (paint on stairs, tile in pool, carpet), but the ammenities and the view make up for it. Also a bus is available into Town just a short walk down the driveway for nights you don't want to drive to enjoy a beverage out. Will stay here again!

The location is amazing. The pool is rather small and needs some cleaning. The complementary hot cocoa/coffee bar in the lobby was nice. Pool towels are available. Complementary roam bus tickets to town are a great! The beds were comfortable. The room looked like it could use some maintenance on the ceiling paint as some of it was chipping. Overall, for a short weekend stay, it wasn’t too bad. It does feel a bit on the higher price side for what you’re getting.
The location is amazing. The pool is rather small and needs some cleaning. The complementary hot cocoa/coffee bar in the lobby was nice. Pool towels are available. Complementary roam bus tickets to town are a great! The beds were comfortable. The room looked like it could use some maintenance on the ceiling paint as some of it was chipping. Overall, for a short weekend stay, it wasn’t too bad. It does feel a bit on the higher price side for what you’re getting.

The outdoor hot tub, swim pool and sauna were pristine and exactly the way they showed. The rooms were jacked up for me for labor day long weekend….I got ripped off in that way. Cleanliness…there were some stains on the carpet and cobwebs on the lights but the beds had fresh linens and amenities clean. Beautiful view.
