Hot tub closed and not working. As it was the highlight of their ad in expedia. No compensation or discount was offered with less service given

Hotel is very nice, lobby is a bit small but very cozy and smells soo good in there. Was surprised how big the hotel room was with 2 Queen beds. Originally we booked a room with a King bed (I asked the room on higher level to be closer to roof top hot tub. Unfortunately the room view was at the brick wall ...yes you are in the mountains and will be looking at the brick wall out of the window... so I asked for another room hoping it would not be a problem as it's not a high season right now, they struggled a bit a but the staff was trying to accommodate us and they got us into a room with 2 Queen beds on the same floor window facing a main street. It was very nice and clean, except there were 3 tennis ball size stains on the carpet but we did not care about that as much as about the view. The reason we booked this hotel was the location and the roof top hot tubs, but unfortunately the hot tubs were a bit disappointment. There are quite small (only 4 people allowed in one), one was closed and the the one which was working was quite dirty (black stains all along the water level). Plus it was very slippery all around the hot tub so we had to be very careful to get in and get out. There is nice closed lounge area with the view on the roof top as well, but we chose the hotel because the hot tubs and those were not the highlight of our stay unfortunately.

Lovely hotel on the Main Street in Banff. Super convenient, walkable location. Comfortable rooms and friendly staff. Parking can be a challenge to find.

Our stay was great! Clean and modern room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooftop hot tub area was small but nice with great views! There's a great restaurant on site and you can't beat the location.

We had a nice stay , the room was very large and quiet and the linens etc were clean. The staff were courteous and friendly. The hot tub - which we really looked forward to- was not very warm and it had quite a bit of brown scum on the walls like it had not been cleaned in a while. We did mention both issues to a staff member but unfortunately did not get a chance to try the hot tub again.

Nice hotel, great lobby and perfect area in Banff. 2 hot tubs, both very small, max capacity 4 and 1 was closed for repair. (Looked long term). Ski lockers were useful and free. Don’t lose the key, $50 if you do. Friends had the junior sweet, great space. Regular double room was pretty small for more than 2 people. Put the door hanger out if you want your room cleaned, otherwise no service. Overall, we’d stay here again.

The hot tub and Cascade lounge don't live up to the photos. The tub water is warm, not hot. This may be fine in summer but not when it's cool or cold. The area is dark and not inviting when the sun goes down.

Shower had gobs of hair on the wall. Told the front desk and asked them to have the shower cleaned while we were out during the day. Came back and shower still wasn’t clean. Air didn’t work. Ice machine near the room wasn’t working - had to walk to another section of the hotel to get ice. Reported the issues to the front desk at checkout and they could care less. Way to expensive of a hotel to have a dirty hot place to stay. Great location but they did nothing to take care of the issues.

Our room was spotless, the staff were accommodating, friendly and supportive. The view of the mountain from our room was exceptional. Thank you..

I’ve visited Banff many times for family trips and usually stay at a hotel a little farther from downtown, but I decided to book here this time for convenience. The location is great and the staff were friendly and helpful. The beds were also quite comfortable, which I appreciated. However, I was disappointed with the overall cleanliness of the room. The carpets looked like they hadn’t been properly vacuumed or shampooed in some time, and the bathroom had visible dirt in several corners. When I used the shower, I also noticed a few loose hairs on the walls, which was unpleasant. If convenience and location are your priorities, this hotel does the job. But if you’re particular about cleanliness especially when traveling with kids I would recommend considering other options.

The room we stayed in was immaculately clean and maintained daily. The staff were highly knowledgeable and candid about the area’s attractions and recommendations. The rooftop hot tub offered an exceptional view and provided a relaxing way to conclude a long day of shopping. Looking forward to our stay in the near future.

Excellent location for staying in Banff. The restaurant is very good and the service is good. The only problem is the carpet in the hallway that looks old but that is all.

Great stay! Quiet location even though it’s on the Main Street. The rooftop hot tubs were nice! Although the room was showing some wear and tear and there was some underwear left beside one of the nightstands, otherwise it was clean.

Our hotel room had a view of a brick wall. It should have been advertised as a room without a view, but it wasn’t. We won’t be back, considering we could have booked a different hotel for the same price and would have had a view. Incredibly disappointing.

The hotel is right on the Main Street of Banff and walkable to almost everything. Room was nice, but bathroom doors are just sliding and don’t close completely. Beds were comfortable. Our room overlooked the street below and had a beautiful view of the mountains. The unfortunate part were people in the street yelling and swearing until 3am and we could hear it all.

The beds were comfortable and the shower was really good. Furniture and carpet need updating. Seating was totally inadequate: one uncomfortable chair not enough for two people. Small consul table passed off as a desk totally inadequate. Sockets and charging points not convenient. Lights totally inadequate. A/c clearly switched off at night so the room was too warm.

Room was decent and clean, however was very hot. Turned the heat down but the room still remained very hot all night. Also not nearly enough parking available, was full when we arrived and we had to pay for street parking at $7/hour which added up very quickly.

Probably time for a rennovation. Surprised how much street noise you could hear in the room. Good location though. Parking a bit of a pain.

For the cost, the room was very small and dark. The temperature control would not let us make the room cooler than 19 degrees.

hate the walk from the elevator to my room and no view from the bedroom window just the wall. So not good experience. I am senior.

Located at the heart of Banff, this hotel is within walking distance to most amenities. The rooms are cozy and clean although small in size. My only complaint is parking. Although they do have some space, it's not enough to accommodate during their peak or busy season. Other parking options are quite expensive. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

They charged me too $1016.34. I already paid to the Expedia for two nights they again charged me in my credit card. They are robbers I hate customer care in this hotel. I didn’t get back my money

We want to recognize one of your staff. Unfortunately, we did not get she name but she was working on Saturday, Nov 22nd during our checkin around 2pm. I believe an Australian accent. She was absolutely wonderful to us, checked us in early and gave a complimentary upgrade for our wedding anniversary. She made our trip! We appreciate everything she did for us and will be coming back because of our experience with her. So kind and professional. You have an awesome employee that deserves all the recognition. We hope this finds it way back to her!

Only reason I put 2 stars is the miscommunication or I don't know whose fault whether it's Expedia or Mount Royal Hotel about my charges. I have to pay full amount at check out wherein I paid a deposit when I did my booking. Then I realized looking at my credit card statement that they (hotel) charged me when I check-in already then charged me again at check out. I don't get it! so I'm in the process of it but I should not be having this issue on my holidays.

Although older hotel is very clean and good location. Over $500 a night for room (which guessing due to summer season) but at that price one would expect to have at least some water in the room. How hotels can expect guests to drink out of bathroom taps is ridiculous at this sort of price range. Front desk staff were ok but fairly rushed and don’t ask how your stay was.

Went on a girls trip with my friends for my birthday and this hotel is so amazing! It’s location is perfect and the staff are so sweet, they let us check in early as our room was ready and the room was so clean and the beds were so comfortable as well! The parking was also only 10 dollars per day which was a great price considering we were in Banff. I went with two of my friends and there were only two robes in the room (standard) and we asked for another one, and the staff wasted no time to give us a third. In the time that it took us to get to the room from the lobby, someone already came to drop off the robe to our room! We also asked for a later check out time and they let us check out an hour later than we were supposed to wish was a blessing. The restaurant Brazen that was also in the hotel was absolutely amazing! The food was outstanding quality and the service as well! I cannot wait to come back again!

I was pleasantly surprised by how friendly and helpful the staff was whether it was at the front desk to help check me in or the staff in the restaurant. Every single person I spoke to was wonderful. I was served by I think her name was Tilly (sweet Australian red head) at the bar.. I sat and had dinner because the restaurant was too full and she was incredible to watch work and multitask keeping me entertained. I would definitely come back here again. My room was clean and really cute and I absolutely adore the convenience of this hotel. It is right in the middle of all the shops and restaurants it is such a great location. And no noise, which is wonderful. I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to try it.

Everyone was so helpful. Lucy was the best! She took extra care that we fulfilled our travel expectations, right down to providing bear spray when we went out to see local wildlife.

Property is located right at the center of the town. Parking is very easy. Most of Banff tour pickup location is also located right at the back of the hotel. You can easily hop on a shuttle from there. Recommended if you’re looking to stay at the town centre.

The hotel was in the middle of the Banff town. Great location makes everything walkable. But at night, there could be noise from club goers. My partner and I didnt mind because they provide a white noise machine which drowned the noise oitside, and was able to sleep well.

Perfectly situated in the heart of the town of Banff. The hotel lobby always had fresh flowers, and cold water ready for guests coming and going. The rooms were updated and very clean and the beds were very comfortable. A great central hotel experience!

We had a great stay at the Mount Royal Hotel in Banff. The location is absolutely outstanding — truly couldn’t ask for better. It’s right in the heart of Banff and within walking distance to everything, which made exploring super easy and convenient. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and I really loved the rooftop jacuzzi. The only downside was that the upstairs area was closed for maintenance and one of the jacuzzi's was under service When you choose a hotel partly for amenities like this, it’s a bit disappointing when they’re not accessible. Overall, it’s a really nice hotel with a perfect location, and I would definitely stay here again. The closures are the only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5.

The location is unbeatable! Right in the center of Banff and walkable to all the shopping stores and restaurants. Also just behind the hotel there's a shuttle stop that takes you to all three ski resorts. There is also a good amount of parking available if you are taking your vehicle.

Close to everything. Room was clean every day. People were friendly. Lady at the desk helped us with one of our tours. Informed us where to go to get help. Felt bad she couldn't help us. We said you helped us very much. We walked to the place she told us and it was fixed. Rylee was outstanding at Brazen. A great asset to any company. He talked to us and asked what our plans were for the day. Made us feel like family. Tommy our waiter had our drinks for breakfast every day as soon as we sat down.Very polite and asked where were going. Very nice restaurant to eat at.

Great property Location perfect on Banff Ave. Parking fantastic. Staff were incredibly helpful. We went to restaurant Brazen for happy hour. The food was delicious.

A great location in town. We enjoyed a hot tub in the afternoon after we checked in on this beautiful blue sky afternoon. Nice mountain views from the rooftop hot tubs and lounge area. We also ate supper at the restaurant in the hotel, Brazen, which had different daily specials and lots of interesting menu items. We had Great service there and we got a free drink each because we were staying at the hotel. Overal a great midweek getaway.

Only when I asked the breakfast time! The host said all day but that you have to pay from pocket, nothing is free. She needs to know what to say and clear with clients

Stylish hotel with a restaurant and bar which had a good menu choice with food beautifully presented. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Comfortable bedroom with great quality bedding.

Brazen is an excellent restaurant. Parking could have been free since it is off season when we came. Other than that, the experience was amazing.
