The reason that I first booked this hotel was because it had free parking included which I feel is quite rare to come by in a city and ideal than with it being just off Lisburn Rd. The hotel itself is lovely and the rooms gorgeous! The rooms are all a v.good size and are equipped with latest and top of the range facilities, including the all important (good quality) biscuits and Rituals bath and body products. Most importantly, the hotel has a very relaxed and calming atmosphere which is helped by the fabulous staff! A special thank you to both Anna and Becky on reception who consistently went above and beyond and doing so not just for me but other hotel guests which was incredibly refreshing to me.

Great place to stay for a couple of days in Belfast. Easy enough walk to the city centre. Rooms are large and comfortable, although a little warm. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Car park is large and easily accessed. Bar food is questionable- disappointed in the so called vegetable tempura- avoid it.

Could not close bedroom window and had to wait for 24 hours for someone from maintenance to sort. Room definitely in need of some investment - very very tired. On the upside - good location and great underground parking

We stayed in an apartment across the street from main part of hotel. We were assisted with our bags across the street. Staff were very good. & helpful. The restaurant was closed for 2 nights so we ate in the bar, the food was good & the staff efficient.

My room was really dark and wallpaper was very dirty in places, it was also peeling from the walls in many areas..in the shower tray there was some black mould, i was shocked for a boutique hotel,at breakfast my daughter asked for some ketchup...they had none !!

Hotel Lobby was lovely, as were the staff, food was OK if a bit pricey, the big disappointment was the room and bathroom which was very tired, there were patches of paint missing on the walls, looked like someone had attached balloons using celotape and the paint came off with the celotape. The bath had rust marks on the enamel and the ceiling of the bathroom had a black mould problem

Apartment stay over Road from hotel but associated. Laminate in kitchenette was living. Veneer on cheap bedroom furniture peeling. No bathroom lightbulb which, because it’s spring/summer wasn’t noticed until late night. Cobwebs above bed and in corners. Extremely hot with unable to leave windows open due to the far opening and on ground floor.

I've stayed in this hotel on a few occasions. My room was on the other side of the street in the residence block. Overall nice location, nice room. Carpet could do with being renewed. However the only downside was the bed sheets were itchy. They had bed mites on and was difficult to get over to sleep.

The room was really big and very clean, however the TV was in an odd place, i.e. right at the bottom of the bed, making it difficult to connect with the remote control. Also the control was sellotaped together. Tea and coffee was provided but no breakfast tea and very little milk. However, the staff were super lovely, the hotel was on a very charming street and we enjoyed a lovely walk to the botanic gardens, past the university and into Belfast city center. We also ate in the local Chinese restaurant down from the hotel, which was amazing.

Lovely hotel with lovely staff. Great private parking. Only negative was the intense heat in the bedroom. This was due to the unusually hot weather. We easily managed as only there for 1 night. We would definitely recommend the Malone hotel to others.

This is a great hotel, it’s about a 30 minute walk from the Cathedral quarter which is a popular place to visit when in Belfast. The room was big and spotlessly clean with comfy beds. The reason for giving 4* is because our room (room 101) was so warm (we stayed mid October) even though high winds (we were experiencing the tail end of a storm with winds up to 70kp/h) and rain we had to have our windows wide open. It’s above the kitchens I think which is what made it so warm. There weren’t any unpleasant cooking smells despite having the windows open! I would recommend staying here the breakfast is great and if there’s so much choice, if there’s something you want but can’t see it just let them know, they’ll sort it straight away, if not the next day! The staff are all wonderful.

The family room was very spacious and the bathroom with corner bathtub and shower cubicle also a good size. The staff were all very friendly and the buffet breakfast had plenty of choice. Bottles of water and tea, coffee and biscuits were replenished each day and we had a few drinks from the bar each night. I would definitely come back to this hotel again on my next belfast visit.

Some staff were absolutely brilliant while others were a little less engaged. Special call out to the man in the breakfast room On 22nd March - an absolute gentleman. My major dissatisfaction was that the bathroom shower fitting didn’t work which meant kneeling in the bath with head under the tap to wash my hair- not what I’d planned on at all! Safe also didn’t lock. Reported both things to reception but they weren’t fixed while I was there - so, two mornings of no proper shower. Add to this that this is the highest bath I’d had to clamber into- not great when on day 2, no shower mat was left. Another bugbear- despite hanging towels to dry and reuse, they were replaced…. But the used glass in the room was left in situ… This isn’t the first time ive stayed at the Malone but it is the first time I’ve been rather disappointed by the lack of responsiveness (shower) & lack of offer to, e.g. move room in absence of being able to fix the problem.

Stay was a nightmare, checked in at 3 got the keys and proceeded to the room which already had been occupied with other people, got keys for another room, while we were unpacking the door opened with other guests that was allocated our room, went to reception to get the keys registered again to the room as they didn’t work cause they were registered to the guests that was allocated our room. Management were so rude when we complained and didn’t want to deal with it, they stayed out of our way and let the two young inexperienced receptionists deal with us and other guests who were also complaining of the same thing. Was total chaos at the reception desk they couldn’t deal with the pressure. The positives were the room was good and the breakfast was excellent.

We were to check in at 3 and couldn’t until 5.30- we had a concert so this really caused an issue … Everyone was the same with a wedding also going on it was chaos and I felt bad for the staff as clearly not their fault but I don’t know how a hotel can charge over £200 for a stay and have all guests waiting in the foyer for 2 and a half hours …some people where offered a voucher for a drink at the bar but we weren’t and there was no compensation I will also say I understand staff under pressure but they where arguing in front of us and it just made everyone really uncomfortable and it was unprofessional with one worker having an attitude with certain guests for asking about their room- again we understood they where under pressure but this worker wasn’t sympathising with the fact that people had to get into their rooms …there also was minimal workers and no manager so really just badly run and we wouldn’t come back or recommend

Left out bags earlier in day. Then came back that night to check in. No one on reception had to ask several waiting staff who walked past us and seen us standing at reception waiting and never approached us themselves. Then when they got someone eventually he did not really appear to know what he was doing until it came to taking payment which he did no problem. We were then placed in a room in a separate building not even attached to hotel even though our booking was made months in advance. Got to it and toilet wasn’t working. Rang reception several times no answer and had to ring back after being told someone one way to fix it. When guy arrived - same guy a checking in- he just said dunno u will have to wait. We said what do we do for toilet facilities and he said dunno and to ask for a refund in morning and left. I then went to go to toilet on main hotel and crossed back to that building - no one on reception again to say were toilets were. Eventually found they were disgusting and full of faeces as this toilet too didn’t seem to work and the light fitting was hanging down out of ceiling. Absolutely terrible experience would not stay here again

This is our second stay at the Malone. At check-in, our room wasn't ready. We were happy to wait but Rawi was determined to find an alternative room which was great. Over the 2 days we were there, the hotel was full & the staff were stretched but everyone tried their best to ensure our stay was good. Minor problems were dealt with quickly. Breakfast is great. Tony & his team deliver even under pressure! Will definitely stay again

Check in process needs some work. They were super strict on a 3pm checkin with 30 people in the foyer waiting for the time to clock over. Not a great experience. I don’t see why you wouldn’t put people in their rooms if they’re ready. It just makes sense.

Beautiful hotel, great ambiance, delicious food from the restaurant with generous portions. Great wine selection. One evening we ran late for dinner and the chef and hostess kept kitchen open for us!!! Many restaurants within walking distance and the city your bus stops right outside the hotel, it was the perfect way to spend a few days with my son before he left for university.

It’s between two major bus corridors so transit is super easy to city center. Super comfortable and has a nice pub and restaurant. Neighborhood is really cute and very quiet, but there are some convenience stores in easy walking distance. My only complaint is the soundproofing; it felt like a herd of elephants was wandering around the floor above me.

Very good room and included breakfast. Only problem occurred one evening in the bar. Our party of four ordered meals. Three meals arrived. I watched the other three finish their meals. We continued to wait for my meal to arrive. A waiter turned up saying there had been a mix up and my meal would arrive ‘in 2 minutes’. After more than ten minutes we gave up waiting and went to leave. I went to the bar and said I was only paying for the meals that turned up. A manager told me I should return to the table and my missing meal would be arriving ‘in 2 minutes’. I said we had waited long enough and were leaving, and I would only pay for the supplied meals. Again this manager told me to return to the table and wait for the missing dinner. I felt very bullied at his insisting! I had to speak to him firmly that I was ready to pay for the meals supplied. He eventually agreed and let me pay the bill. I was so upset by the incident I did not return to the bar for the rest of my visit. I found every other staff member I interacted with to be very friendly, helpful and efficiently doing their jobs.

Loved the location and comfort of our room. It was a little odd being on the first floor with a view over the sidewalk. We found the pullout single bed to be an awkward addition to an otherwise nice too. In all our hotel stays in Ireland and Northern Ireland, the Malone had the worst food, so I can’t recommend it although I would stay in the hotel again. We thought the neighborhood was charming. The staff were lovely though overworked. The concierge later served us food!

This property was very clean x relaxing. The breakfast was fabulous all you could possibly want. I only had dinner in the restaurant one evening x it was first class. The staff in the hotel were very friendly x helpful. The hop on hop off bus stops right outside. It is about 25 minutes walk into the centre of Belfast.
