The rooms were clean and the common area was beautifully decorated for Christmas. I was surprised to see a Gym in this Holiday Inn express hotel. There is a gated secure parking which is a great addition in a city hotel. Staff are friendly and efficient. As members of IHG we were also offered an early check in and late check out. Breakfast is a decent spread but can be very crowded. Dining space can also be an issue on busy days. The staff do their best to keep up but probably they could have a system of fixing breakfast times for guests, to avoid the crowding during peak hours. Overall this is a really good hotel and definitely value for money. A short walk from the hotel will lead to the Botanic area where there are plenty of restaurants with a variety of dining options, some are surprisingly economical. I would recommend Mu and Kawa, both are fusion Asian food restaurants, with delicious food, large portions and great prices.

Enjoyed our visit,the beds are very clean and comfy,with a choice of hard or soft pillows. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and hot,it was also included in the booking free,many hotels you have to pay extra. Big car park at the back if you are driving .

The room was comfortable and clean. All the members of staff I came across were really friendly. The gym was small but very well equipped and kept in good condition. The breakfast was good, although I would have preferred more vegan options such as yoghurt, pastries and fruit. I also really liked that the time ranges for breakfast, check in and check out were generous.

Initially everything was fine, double bed and sofa bed which was small for 2 people however it did the job. On checking out though my wee boy&i who slept it on it felt a bit itchy which was strange and later we discovered more itchy spots on our backs and on visiting a pharmacy they confirmed we had been bitted by bedbugs… an email from the hotel asked for feedback so I wrote all this and it said they would contact me but I’m still waiting… we stayed in room 314. It’s defo put me off staying in hotels though and because we flew back I had to discard our pjs,clothes&bags so I wouldn’t end up with an infestation in my home…

We stayed a week, the breakfasts were excellent! The room maid however was not so good, 1. My face flannel that I keep near my pillow was left on the floor one day. 2. The bed looked excellent as we entered the room but when we pulled back the covers the bottom sheet was still as rucked up as when we got up that morning. 3. The maid used my comb in the bathroom and left her calling card in the way of a very long black curly hair attached to my comb. Ugh! Reception were horrified when I reported it, took details and will follow up.

The hotel itself was lovely and modern and kept very clean. Unfortunately we had some issues with noise levels and were woken up both nights at around 1am with shouting and loud singing. There was a sign in the bathroom advising if we wanted clean towels then to leave the dirty ones on the floor which we did. When we returned that evening, we noticed the towels were the ones we left on the floor previously that day and had been folded up, still soaking wet! Why give us the option if you’re not going to do it? The water pressure in the shower was absolutely terrible and I was unable to wash my hair both days we were there. I don’t think I would stay here again due to the issues we had with what I’ve mentioned above.

Couldn't sleep first night due to road noise and remaing two nights in a different room were not much better due to no airconditioning and dooners were too thick for summer conditions. A sheet would have made for a more comfortable night's sleep. Breakfast was good.

Good hotel and rooms were quite good. No air conditioning and limited storage especially if you are staying for more than a couple of days. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice. University Street itself is a little run down. Ever so slightly out of the centre but handy for Botanic Gardens and Ulster Museum. Botanic Train Station was a good place nearby and we were able to visit Carrickfergus and Titanic from there.

Short one night stay. Highs: Beds were so comfortable. Bedding lovely. Shower was great. Excellent and roomy free parking. Breakfast was delicious and we could spread out to enjoy it. Lots of food choices. Pleasant staff. Would stay again in Belfast. Lows: Elevators were small if you have luggage with a family. No early check in so there is a long line at 3 pm to register. Bus trips stay here, overwhelming public spaces.

Standard tourist hotel. Friendly staff and usual good facilities but we were woken up at 1am by a hen party coming in and continuing their celebrations in the rooms opposite and next door to ours. As we checked in the staff member told us to ring reception if we needed to at any time and afterwards we worked out why! We were moved to a quiet room the following morning. We were lucky that there was a spare room. I knew Belfast would be a party destination but thought this location might not attract party people as it is a bit outside of the city centre. I was wrong.

Great service, area is shady. If you are going in summer months, the AC gets turned off every 2 hrs. It’s crazy you wake up several times to turn it back on.

Was ok. Staff didn’t communicate with each other after I added an extra night and had dnd on the door as I work nights and was still woken up 4 times by different staff and asked when I’m checking out even though I booked another day. Parking great

Hotel staff were friendly and great, we had an issue with noisy guests next door but the hotel staff acted quickly and resolved the issue. The hotel is nice and clean and provides a good breakfast. It’s a little too out of town for us but has some nice bars and restaurants nearby.

Trouble checking in - manager couldn’t program room key - took some time - phone call in the middle of the night checking on us which they denied doing even though they asked for me by name - was able to get late check out but only signing up for there preferred guest . Check out was now at 2pm went breakfast came back at noon and room card didn’t work had to go back down to desk to fix. Took 2 people to figure out - overall ok but good be better

Very good service and warm greetings in both the reception and restaurant. Staff are very kind and willing to provide help especially Alanna, who was so initiative to provide help when we were in a rush back to the hotel under a heavy rain before heading to get the express coach to Dublin. Staff were very friendly and accommodating We decided to stay on a whim so we had nothing with us. The hotel supplied toothbrushes toothpaste and other products which saved us a trip to the chemist. The breakfast was very good and our room was very quiet hence a peaceful nights sleep. Overall very happy and would go back there again. Good location.

Very impressed with service at this hotel, we had an issue with our room and staff were very accommodating and moved us. Thank you to Chantel, Hotel Experience Manager for sorting this efficiently it was much appreciated. The rooms are very comfortable and so quiet. The breakfast range was fantastic - one of the best we have had in a hotel. We ate at the hotel one night and the food was also very good. Staff were very helpful and very friendly. We enjoyed our stay.

Good hotel and rooms were quite good. No air conditioning and limited storage especially if you are staying for more than a couple of days. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice. The area where this hotel is situated is disgusting. There is litter all over the pavements. It is a good 30mins walk into city centre. The rooms are run down and need freshening up. Limited choice for breakfast. I would not stay in this hotel again and wouldn’t recommend it.

Stay only slightly marred by location of air con unit outside window (on flat room) emitting a constant drone / drumming noise through the night. Free car parking a bonus, and was easy to use. Breakfast starts nice and early (7am) and was plentyful if not wonderful quality That said was still good value for the price I paid.

We had concerns on arrival as we couldn't find the car park and the hotel is on a busy road. Clear signs would have assisted us to the excellent car park just down the next street. Our stay was brilliant. Especially liked the breakfast area where everything was set out in threes. Three tea/coffee machines, toasters etc. to ease the queuing. Plenty of seats too. The room was clean and there was a double sized shower in the bathroom. Would definitely stay again.

Great place to stay. Very good breakfast, good parking, tidy and clean room. Quiet and a short walk to lots of eateries. Staff frlendly and helpful. The only thing we didnt like was the pizza. Too much cheese and not enough filling, but decent size.
