Staff at the Tara really make the experience. The area has great restaurants, but there is a bit of graffiti and such. Be aware parking is very limited and tight, but we did get a spot both nights. The breakfast was wonderful and the beds were very comfortable.

Cute little Boutique hotel. Rooms were clean and well appointed. Breakfast was delicious. Staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Elevator was out of service but staff willingly carried all our bags to our rooms.

Tara Lodge was absolutely beautiful. Very good location, lovely staff, great service, very clean, quiet, safe parking and we will definitely be back! A lovely little haven in Belfast.

Nice hotel but a bit far off the beaten track for us. Advertised as parking available but omg are the spaces tight and awkward to manoeuvre into. Plus points - spotless, spacious, great tasty breakfast. I missed not having a lobby or bar.

The hotel is very nice. We were on the back of the building so it was a little loud at night. The breakfast was free, made to order and excellent. I took one star off because even though they offer parking there are only like 10 cars that can fit in their lot. They have like 34 rooms and parking in the streets is hard to come by.

B&B was good. Room well appointed although a little tired. Breakfasts really good and staff all super friendly. Very very close to Botanic train station to reach Titanic quarter, Central Belfast or Airport in just a few stops. Zone 1 train pass got us all the way to Holywood which is the area we’d stay in if visiting again! Missing a lounge area or somewhere to get a drink in the evening, which we didn’t think we’d need as close to bars and restaurants but in reality those weren’t tourist friendly and the Botanic area didn’t feel like a very safe neighbourhood after dark. Useful car park although tiny and street spaces very close would fill at times.

Our room was comfortable enough and even had a view of the street but when I enquired if noise over night would be a problem the staff said no. Wrong, woke up 5 times to loud talking drunks, car alarms and early morning sea gulls Actually the sea gulls I can take. lol. Parking is terrible as the pull in area is super tight and almost impossible to get in a spot. None were available so the alternative is to street park which we did but 3 blocks away. Breakfast was enjoyable and full meal.

The room was clean and a good size. The breakfast was excellent with a lot of variety. Ricky, Millie and Enya were friendly and efficient. The young lady at the front desk (didn’t get her name) was extremely helpful. The location of the hotel is walkable to city centre and there is a train station very close. Only cons were the shower curtain and the toilet was a little weird. Small issues and I would recommend this hotel as an excellent value.

The nicest and efficient staff I have encountered in a long, and I mean long, time post Covid Room was more than large enough and stocked with nice amenities. Nespresso pod coffees pot plus tea/coffee hot pot. Add fresh milk, two waters and cookies! Two blocks from rail stop as well adds convenience

Lovely clean comfortable hotel. Good for the price in Belfast. Easy 18 minutes walk to centre. There is public options close by. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. Room lovely and comfortable with fridge kettle tea coffee biscuits hairdryer iron & board toiletries tissues. But no air con and rather hot in august. Fan supplied on request. Breakfast cooked to order and delicious. Area is in university quarter and a little run down with some rough sleepers but did not feel unsafe so don’t let this put you off this lovely hotel. Some train noise at rear of hotel but only noticed due to open windows due to hot weather.

We stayed in this property for 2 nights and enjoyed our stay immensely. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were quiet, clean and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was a choice of hot options or continental and was excellent. After travelling in Ireland and Northern Ireland for nearly 3 weeks this was the first hotel with a fridge in the room. The property is just 15 minutes walk from the city. We would not hesitate to book this accommodation when returning to Belfast.

Breakfasts were tasty and the workers in the dining area were plesent and attentive. At the front desk we were greeted warmly and had a nice couple of conversations about or trip and got some helpful tips on what to see. The room we stayed in had recently been refurbished and was well kitted out with a fridge, safe and kettle. The hotel is in a quite area so great for a nights restful sleep.

Friendly staff at check in! We arrived early and our room was not yet ready. We also discovered a bolt in our rental car's tire. The front desk person (Karin) allowed us to park our vehicle in the garage area while we awaited for a tire repair technician. She also served us coffee and biscuits before the rest of my family headed out to see some local attractions. Later, she was able to get us a cab and assisted in getting us reservations for dinner. The hotel is nice and I will be staying at the Tara Lodge again!

Our room was clean & spacious. The staff was prompt and helpful. Shauna was very welcoming at our check-in, giving us information about Belfast including a map and how to access transit. The included breakfast was excellent. Full continental items along with menu service. They were even kind enough to accommodate us a few minutes earlier than their posted opening hour as we had limited time the morning we checked out.

The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful, which gave Tara Lodge the personal touch that sets it apart from the 'big box' hotels. They even set up a very early breakfast just for us when we had to catch an early bus. All-in-all, a wonderful experience!

What a great stay at Tara Lodge! The staff were friendly and responsive throughout. The room was comfortable and clean. Lots of delicious breakfast options (loved the omelette) in addition to the basics on the buffet. Best of all is the location in Queens Quarter — quieter than city center (and more charming) with lots of good restaurants and pubs nearby. Thank you!

Tara Lodge is a hidden gem. The area around the lodge is very rundown, dirty, graffiti, etc. but it was safe and the hotel itself was very well maintained inside. The room had every amenity you need and the staff was excellent! Tara is also located near Queens University and the Ulster museum. Many restaurants in the area and we even walked to central Belfast and the Titanic Experience. Great location. Excellent custom breakfast as well. Highly recommend if you can get past the surroundings.

Great location just outside Queens University and a 10 minute walk to city center. Plenty of restaurants but recommend NU Delhi. Terrific! Staff at Tara couldn’t have been nicer and they serve up a delicious breakfast with lots of choices. Free parking on site.

Tara Lodge was truly a home away from home. When we booked this hotel that included breakfast we had no idea how fabulous breakfast would be. We expected the standard buffet not a customized order to your preference cooked and served meal. The servers went all out to ensure that each day began with anything your heart desired for breakfast. The hotel is clean, well maintained and extremely comfortable. We were greeted each time we entered and left. Everyone at the front desk was so friendly and helpful in pointing out places to visit and eat. I easily rate this hotel 5 stars and highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Belfast!
