The lady who met us at reception was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The property is older, but the price reflects this. Great value. Our room was clean and comfortable. It has a bbq which is very convenient.

The good. Clean room. Good ac. Good size smart tv. Clean bathroom. Monsoon shower head a real plus. Plenty of on site under cover parking. No traffic noise inside room. The room rate. The ok. Room was a bit tired in the bathroom with some peeling paint. You could hear other rooms doors closing. Car parking made it very tight for me to access my room door. Staff pleasant but not that welcoming. Walked in the door introduced myself and was immediately asked to pay. I even commented “ geez you don’t muck around do you”. Just a little abrupt that’s all. The bad. Nothing. I’d stay again.

Perfect property for a stop with a dog and after a long drive. The room was clean and comfortable. The motel also had a separate kitchen for residents to use which was handy. The motel is located on the main road so there is traffic noise but we all slept well. There is a Woolworths close by which was a bonus.

The room was clean but with the parking I’m very dissatisfied . I had to park on the street. Parking spaces are too small. I couldn’t open the car door when I parked. So decided to park on the street. Location is good but I will not stay there anymore. Also I’ll not recommend it

Staff that checked us in was very friendly and helpful. We used the bbq several times and having the kitchen stocked with all the plates, knives, forks etc, made it very easy and cost effective business weekend away

The room was small but absolutely spotless and the bed was super comfortable. The air conditioner was effective and very quiet. There was sufficient wardrobe space to hang clothes and to store cases etc. Plenty of tea and coffee and milk provided. Thankyou. We had a very enjoyable stay

We stayed in a pet friendly room. With all the rules for our very small fur baby the room was disgusting. A rip in the bathroom that was rotten. Didn't turn on the fan for fear of being covered in dirt. Han stains on the chairs. Use your imagination. I wouldn't lety dog on there. Needs a new coat of paint to cover up the flaking paint. At $176 per night it should be fit for humans

For me, the noise from the highway was unbearable. Truck noise and exhaust brakes kept me awake until.4am. The overly bureaucratic way of dealing with pets was also a turnoff. For $180 a night, there was little sign of actual hospitality- pretty perfunctory. The room was clean, the bathroom clean and very small and the bed was comfortable. Placing a smoke detector directly above the bed head, complete with glowing yellow light and blinking red light does not show much insight into creating a quiet, dark environment suitable for good rest. Ditto the water system that came on at 1.30am and 4am. The noise for me was a big turnoff and I cannot recommend.

The bed was comfortable and the shower was very good, although in a tiny bathroom which had some missing tiles. The TV was large and fine quality. On check in the bell was very loud but I had to search around to find someone to attend the office. For a through traveller it was OK; had the basics, but basic would be the general description.

The room was clean and of a reasonable size. The staff member who greeted me was lovely. Unfortunately, my room was next to the laundry which was in use until 10.30 pm. It was very noisy as whoever was using the machines didn't bother to close the doors and lids quietly. It would be appropriate for the laundry to be closed at a reasonable time, perhaps 8.30 pm. Other issues I found were that the tap on the vanity basin was loose and the powerpoints under the side tables did not have Australian 3 pin plugs. The earth was round. I don't believe this is legal. I was also unable to adjust the air conditioner which was too cold, so I had to turn it off. It appears that some renovations may have been done but these, mostly small things let the property down.

Suitable as a place to crash for the night. Receptionist was unfriendly and abrupt. The 2 security notices by the door made me feel unsafe. My window looked directly into someone's private backyard. However the basics were good - clean and comfortable bed and bathroom.

Toreador Motel was situated in a central location within Coffs Habour and therefore everything was within driving distance if and when required. Rooms were small but clean however furniture, fittings and bathroom were not in the best of condition (missing, broken) however everything was in working order. The motel does face a main road and there's constant heavy vehicle traffic, which can be noisy during the night.
