Large room in one of the lodges outside of main building . Very comfortable although showing its age a bit . Used leisure facilities - swimming pool good , steam room closed which meant sauna got very full at times . Spa is attached to pool so not hot - a pity . Generally good value for money

Check in and check out was super friendly. My requests was met which we really appreciated. All the staffs that we came across was very helpful, served us with a smile and very professional. Good spa facilities, although can be busy due to the school holidays. Breakfast was very very tasty and lots of good quality fresh fruits . 10/10 . Fantastic if you’re into playing Golf. We spent two nights here and didn’t want to leave. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you

Room we stayed in definitely needs an upgrade. Uneven mattress, carpet needs changing and furniture is very stained and old. Bar area, golf course and the swimming pool was great. Staff service was questionable at times - spa didn’t have towels or padlocks for the lockers, you’d expect that sort of stuff to be provided or made very clear on there website or when booking. To buy a padlock it would be a 10 minute drive away! Won’t be staying here again.

Really nice nights stay at this hotel. Rooms were nice, bed was very comfortable. Hotel bar was well stocked, although a bit pricey. Breakfast was amazing. There were no towels at the pool so had to use the ones from the room, but this wasn't an issue.

Enjoyable one-night stay in a cosy motel-type room in the main hotel grounds. The room was very clean and warm. Bed very comfortable. Dinner was well-presented and delicious. Breakfast is a buffet-type with a good selection of hot and cold items. The spa area was clean and tidy. My only complaint would be that the swimming pool is far too cold!

Stayed in one of their chalet style rooms which was more than adequate. It was close to a busy road so you could hear it throughout the night. This didn’t stop me sleeping, but if you are a light sleeper it would be worth asking for a room nearer the golf course which would be quieter. Unfortunately the pool was having maintenance, and I had selected the hotel due to this. The restaurant was very pleasant and both dinner and breakfast was good with great service.

The hotel has nice surroundings and fancy decor in the reception and restaurants. However, the room decor is dated and the toilet didn’t flush properly. The main issue for me was the toilet hadn’t been cleaned properly when I checked in. The guy on reception was very friendly though and told me housekeeping would fix it. The breakfast was nice.

It was fine, except from the cluster of dust / mould behind the wardrobe. Hopefully, this will be checked and cleaned in all rooms. We only realised in the morning as we were leaving.

The hotel room had no a/c and was the temperature of a volcano. It also lacked in plugs especially by the beds. Can’t charge your phone at your beside side unless you take the lamps out of action. The shower was either boiling hot or cold from one to the other or just cold no warm water at all. Very nice views over the golf course and the service was 100%. The staff couldn’t do enough for you.

It is just a very tired hotel. The rooms need updating and so do the hotel facilities. Breakfast was nice, a good selection of items. Bed was nice and comfy and our room was really big.

Worst night sleep ever. I think the room we had was above the kitchen pot wash and all we heard until 12:30am was banging and bashing. Which then started again early in the morning. The room was tired and the tv didn’t work twice so we had to get someone to fix it. However saying all that the hotel communal areas were lovely. Breakfast was great and the cellar bar was relaxed and welcoming. A nice hotel but that room shouldn’t be used for guests due to its location.

Room we stayed in, number 24 was a ground floor, but there doesn’t seem to be anything to stop the noise from room above you can hear everything, especially noisy when they just walk across the room, plus the noise from the A46 right outside, if your a light sleeper then this isn’t the hotel for you.. Breakfast is buffet style and staff very good..

The room was comfortable with signs of aging in the bathroom. The Spa was very nice and clean. The food in the restaurant was mixed. Apple pie wasn’t cooked and the chef was very rude with a whatever attitude even though he agreed it wasn’t cooked. Then they still charged me for it. The breakfast was very cheap.

Arrived after 4 hours of travelling to a very unwelcoming male receptionist, no smile, no greeting and rather than give information I had to pull it out of him. Room was very tired and outdated, the room had an electrical extension lead sitting on the floor, which was used for the television but I also had to use it to plug the kettle in, but this had to sit on the floor and boil as it wouldn’t reach the extension lead safety. The bathroom door was an old fashioned wooden door with a latch and had layers of dust on the door as well as the corners of the floor, so felt unclean. However, the room was right next to a very busy road but we didn’t hear any traffic and it was very quiet. Didn’t get a chance to use the spa or pool as arrived later than expected due to Friday traffic, but did eat in the Cellar bar - after asking several times they couldn’t find a kids menu so ended up sharing a pizza with my daughter from the main menu, Caesar salad arrived without any Caesar dressing but they were happy to provide it when asked. We enjoyed the breakfast, it was taken in the lovely main restaurant, all self-service but (apart from pancakes) had everything we needed. The grounds and area around the hotel were kept lovely, just a shame about the bedrooms. I’m afraid I wouldn’t stay at this hotel again.

All the staff were lovey with the exception of the check-in clerks. The one who greeted us upon arrival was less than warm and welcoming and another who I consulted about the pool hours for children told me they actually try to discourage children staying at the hotel. One reception clerk was friendly and helpful. Dinning and housekeeping staff were very nice. Propois beautiful but no where to walk as the whole property is dedicated to golf.

Check in was very slow and was initially told there was no booking for me. Then the booking was found after a few minutes after a lot of awkward whispering between reception staff which made me feel uncomfortable. The room was not part of the main hotel complex and was in an outbuilding, the rear wall of which was less than 10 feet from a busy dual carriageway. With all the sound insulation of a baked bean can, I had the worst night sleep I've ever had and would have been better sleeping in the car. The bed was uncomfortable and the shower periodically scolded me at random points during the shower. The food in the cellar bar provided much amusement between myself and my colleagues due to the small portion size of the fish and chips... at least this provided some fun. I would never stay here again and it's a good reminder to always do your homework before you book. I have arrived for an important meeting feeling like I've been camped out on the hard shoulder of a motorway in a 2 man tent....

I love this hotel - stayed a few times for work meetings, central location but with stunning views over the beautiful golf course. Always have a swim & a steam in the spa area - perfect. Love the bar area with the outside access to sit outside to enjoy the beautiful views. Great food choice being served in the bar as well as the main restaurant.

Lovely setting. Liked being able to park outside my room. Decor a little dated but clean and nice amenities. Restaurant was a bit expensive and portion size was very small. Food was well presented and tasty. Restaurant only takes card payments- no cash. Staff were brilliant - excellent customer service.

Decent place. Food a little expensive in some cases (10 chips for £7 for example, and a starter of 3 x 2inch pieces of lamb kofta on rocket for £7 also) Room fine, shower good. Comfortable, pretty standard.

Nice hotel but is a little dated in the decor, we stayed in the main body of the hotel bit they did have numerous building so perhaps some of them may have been refurbished. That being said it was very clean and the staff were all very friendly and efficient. The restaurant is new and the food for dinner and breakfast was delicious.

Breakfast excellent & starting at 0630 was a great time for a working visit. The walk to the dinning area as limited signage and the menu had limited options at quite expensive prices. Service was good though
