We picked this hotel mainly because of its facilities and the convenient parking, it was everything that we had hoped for. The room was good the reception was excellent and the bar and restaurant had good staff. Overall the staff were young but very efficient.

Top shelf hotel with excellent spa…. which included sauna, steam room and relaxation room. Gym was average Truly a treat! The food and staff were higher end! Two bus transit stations are 4-8 minute walks.

Prima hotel, lekker gegeten totaal geen last gehad van de zgn gelukszoekers zoals in de reviews staat. Geen moment van onveiligheid gevoeld. Vriendelijk personeel, mooie kamer. Op loopafstand gaat elke 8 minuten een bus naar t centrum van Haarlem. Gratis parkeren

We were very pleased with our stay at the Van de Valk hotel. Well situated just out side of the centre. Lots of easy parking. Rooms were on the big side giving you lots of room.Tea and coffee facilities were separate on level 3 in a beautiful lounge and always available 247!! The breakfasts were amazing… quality/ choice and extremely good value for money. Rating at the time was 8.9 on hotels but should be… in my opinion at least 9.6!! Highly recommended 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

This is a fantastic hotel overall. The location is excellent for travelers: a convenient bus route connects directly to the airport and the Haarlem train station, which offers effortless, tap-and-go public transport access to Amsterdam Central. No tickets needed, it couldn't be easier! The hotel itself is modern, immaculately clean, and highly presentable. My only slight disappointment, and the reason for the four-star rating instead of five, was the room setup. We booked a double, but received a twin with the beds just pushed together. The resulting gap made it feel like a twin room anyway, which defeated the purpose. Despite the bed issue, the stay was great. The restaurant food and drinks were excellent, and the facilities were superb. I especially appreciated the business area, which was stocked with on-tap hot and cold drinks, fruit, and snacks. The Wi-Fi was fast and very easy to connect to. I would happily stay here again.

Very Kind Service , Bike Leasing is Perfect and the Location of the Hotel is very close to Haarlems City. When arriving by car there are plenty of spots in Front of the Hotel to park. We will visit the Hotel again for sure.

Wir hatten das Hotel gewählt, da wir mit einem Transporter inkl. Fahrräder unterwegs waren. Der Parkplatz ist wirklich ausreichend groß. Was uns nicht gefallen, wir haben die Ausstattung der Zimmer nicht verstanden. Auf der einen Seite große Zimmer, aber kaum Platz um etwas aufzuhängen. Ein Tisch, aber auch nur ein Stuhl und ein Sessel. Das Bad richtig groß, aber nur zwei Möglichkeiten Handtücher aufzuhängen. Die im Übrigen nicht gut gerochen haben und wir sie untypisch für uns, jeden Tag gewechselt haben. Abgesehen davon, konnten sie nicht trocknen. Toilette war separat mit kleinem Waschbecken. Darauf wurden noch zwei kleine Handtücher gelegt, da überhaupt keine Haken vorhanden waren. Diese kleinen Handtücher wurden irgendwann nicht mehr getauscht bzw. wir hatten dort überhaupt keine Handtücher mehr bekommen. Nach dem vermeintlichen Roomservice stand die Badtür offen, das Licht hat gebrannt, das Bett war eher lieblos gemacht, worauf ich allerdings keinen Wert lege und es müsste auch nicht jeder Mülleimer geleert werden. Dann wollte ich in die Sauna. Bademäntel gibt es keine und man darf nur mit Schwimmbekleidung rein. Sollte man vorher wissen. Die Lage ist okay, Frühstück auch. Für mich persönlich immer schade, da es nicht günstig ist und ich mit einem kleinen und dafür qualitativ gutem Frühstück besser bedient wäre. Aber das ist tatsächlich Geschmackssache.

The hotel was rated 4 star but it’s not to the quality of four stars hotels. I arrived in the evening at 9pm where they don’t have staff to help with my bags, no housekeeping available I need to go downstairs to pick up any amenities I need. The room was too hot the air condition is damaged. Next day they told me it’s under repair and unfortunately they did not fix it I had to spend my two nights with less sleep upon check out they said the AC system needed lots of work to be done. This was called miss management as it’s summer they should have had better maintenance and they should have inform their guests prior to arrival’s.

Fabulous room for our family in a fabulous property. The property was very recently renovated and was on par with very high end Marriott and Hilton resorts. We loved being in Haarlem. The gym and spa were excellent. We stayed in a two bedroom with our kids in bunk beds in the attached room. It was so clean and so safe. Bathroom and shower were huge. Great jumping off point for all of the Netherlands. Staff was exceptional.

Een hele nette kamer, schoon en netjes. Kon helaas niet mijn telefoon koppelen met de tv. Daarnaast een tweepersoonskamer met bed alleen waten het 2 losse 1 persoonsbedden tegen elkaar waardoor het bed elke keer van elkaar af draaide. Verder hele mooie locatie

We picked this hotel mainly because of its facilities and the convenient parking, it was everything that we had hoped for. The room was good the reception was excellent and the bar and restaurant had good staff. Overall the staff were young but very efficient.

Superb reception staff, but breakfast staff were a bit aloof and grumpy. Room service staff did not carry out two requests correctly. Beds were poorly made up. No female sanitary bags were provided. Breakfasts were well laid out and gave a lot of choice, but cooked items were not hot, and the plates were cold. The hotel itself was a very pleasant place to stay.

Perfect mooi hotel erg ruim en mooie grote kamers met goed bed. Personeel niet altijd kundig. Veel problemen bij het inchecken. En ook iets simpels als een factuur uitdraaien gaf problemen. We did an emergency dash to see an elderly relative leaving on Christmas Day evening & driving through the night, to see them on Boxing Day morning, so we were very glad we were allowed to check in a little early after our visit, so we could get some sleep. We were also pleased that the chef prepared us a meal for dinner that we had in the bar, when the hotel was holding a Festive Buffet & a 5 course dinner for 100's of people due to it being Christmas.

Fabulous room for our family in a fabulous property. The property was very recently renovated and was on par with very high end Marriott and Hilton resorts. We loved being in Haarlem. The gym and spa were excellent. We stayed in a two bedroom with our kids in bunk beds in the attached room. It was so clean and so safe. Bathroom and shower were huge. Great jumping off point for all of the Netherlands. Staff was exceptional.

The hotel is about a 15 minute walk to the shops which mainly open late mornings on Sunday and Mondays. The room and bed were very comfortable with a contemporary feel and a mini fridge which was empty so we stocked with our own drinks. The room was quiet and the corridors softly lit with a relaxed atmosphere and we enjoyed a meal in the restaurant on the first night. Overall we had a very pleasant stay in the hotel and the staff we very helpful.

However, the more expensive the hotel, the more expensive it becomes... a 13 euro charge for delivering room service, for example (though the food was excellent). It's a 30 minute stroll from the beautiful center of Haarlem with all its history and lively street cafes - about a five-minute Uber trip - and buses are just around the corner (tap in and off with any debit card). Haarlem is a beautiful town!!! Watch out for the low ridge of tiles at the door to the bathroom and loo (ouch, stubbed toe). There is no light switch for the loo - it's operated when you open the door (took me ages to figure it out searching for the switch) - which can be a bit blinding in the night if you are sensitive to light.

We stayed at Van der Valk Hotel for our vacation in The Netherland. The hotel is a kind of luxury and business hotel. Check in was smooth and all employee and staff are helpful and polite. The restaurant is also amazing for both breakfast and dinner. Their croissant is the best I have ever had :) Our room is so spacious with nice bathtub :) Parking is ample. Very strategic location as well.

Mooie comfort kamer, met fijne badkamer. Tijdens ontbijt héél druk. Wel veel keuze. Terwijl wij naar het buffet terugliepen was onze complete tafel afgeruimd inclusief net gepakte thee,koffie en beleg terwijl kamerpasje gewoon nog op de tafel lag.

Für Menschen mit Zöliakie/Glutenunverträglichkeit ist extra auch eine glutenfreie Ecke eingerichtet worden. Abgepackte Brötchen, Muffins und Pancakes stehen zur Auswahl. Große Empfehlung!
