The hotel staff were extremely helpful and made our stay a great experience. The hotel is located in a great location with parking next to the hotel and the market place just 100M away. The hotel is well equipped for a long stay with a refrigerator, coffee maker and hot water pot.

In the center of Haarlem and easy access to the surrounding area. I had a rental car and the public garage is right next to the hotel. Easy to drive to other towns and. Ities from there. Will definitely stay there every time I go to the Netherlands.

Would definately stay here again. Everything you need is close by. Also, there is a off-property garage very close (didn't use) if desired, that is not part of the hotel.

My friend and i stayed at this lovely hotel for 1 night, i have stayed before with my husband. We found the staff very friendly, welcoming and very helpful. The room was very clean and very comfortable. Beautiful entrance and foyer with a fabulous staircase and stained glass ceiling. We will be back, thank you to all staff.

La scelta dell’Amrath si è rivelata molto valida. L’hotel è ottimo, in una posizione strategica, centrale e a portata dei principali servizi. Camera molto comoda, e ben attrezzata. It is extremely well sited for exploring Haarlem, and walkable to the main railway station. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Fantastic breakfast selection. The only downside is that rooms on the front can be very noisy from street activity, especially early mornings. We eventually asked for a change of room from the front to the back which they did without any quibble, and it transformed our stay. Very happy to stay there again.

The hotel is ideally situated near the Grote Markt and near all the attractions. The rooms are well appointed and spacious. We were aware that there wasn’t a refrigerator in the room, but a 4-star hotel should have one! The breakfast was rather disappointing - no fruit salad, but a few grapes and a few slices of melon. There were no saucers at breakfast and no big spoons. But the greatest disappointment was the staff. The blonde woan at reception was brief and quite snooty. I don’t want the tobe all over us, but soeties we wouldgreet them and the blond would pretend not to hear us. Never ever smiled or made us feel welcome?! The breakfast staff on the other hand were friendly and engaged one in conversation.

The hotel was in a great location being next to Dam Square in the centre of Haarlem. It was expensive and the room was disappointing as it was tatty and in need of refurbishment. The curtains were marked and the toilet seat was loose so it slipped to the side. One of the bedside lamps also didn’t work. It was generally noisy with people walking along the corridors and doors banging in the hotel.

It’s perfectly located. Rooms are fine, average. Staff is excellent— friendly and helpful. Our room was on the pedestrian street side and was very loud from 6pm until well after midnight— earplugs made that not a problem, but something worth noting.

Overall enjoyed it because of the good location. Property is a bit dated. Beds are soft and not in a very good condition (mine needed repairing), airconditioning does not work properly and blows humid air and there is no gym. Staff friendly and property is clean, just needs a work over

Friendly staff and accommodated my gluten free requests. 4th floor room very warm, even in October. Very clean. Beware- we enjoyed a nice buffet breakfast daily and were quite surprised to be presented with a bill for 123 Euros upon leaving! There was no communication about the fee for buffet. We had interactions w several front desk staff, and never a mention of the fee. Poor customer service in that area.

The staff was amazing and spoke perfect English, the room was spacious and quiet. I loved the convenience of water coolers on each floor. There is a beautiful central stair area with a stained-glass ceiling. The hotel is right next to the cathedral and a block over is one of the best frites (fry) places I ate at in the Netherlands.

Property was under renovation and was not told or offered a room on a higher floor. Workers started working before we woke up. Also no signs for doors so staff entered while we slept (jet lag) without waiting for a response after knocking.

Absolutely fabulous staff. Can't beat the location. Near all the pubs and restaurants. Around the corner from Sint Bavo Church. Enjoy the city market on the other side of the church on Saturdays. Back side of the hotel is on the Spaarne Canal. You thought you loved Amsterdam . . . just wait until you meet Haarlem.

Good location in the heart of Haarlem but room needs some upgrading ( wall to wall old carpets (dusty), too soft beds i.e. not for people with back problems etc. Buffet breakfast not the widest one, still ok but there were small flies flying over fruits and other food. But very polite and friendly staff.

Nice smiling girl in the breakfast room and friendly male receptionist when me check in. The room needs a small upgrade, a bit of a bad bed and needs a better ventilation system. The price was higher than expected and should have included breakfast. The breakfast not worth €20. But the hotel is right in the center and walking distance to bars and restaurants.
