Absolutely awful service. Had inquired about the hours of the Saigon Saigon Rooftop bar (one of the only reasons for booking this hotel) earlier that day and to see if I needed a reservation. After being told a reservation was not necessary and the hours of 4pm - 1am, We showed up after dinner to enjoy a drink before heading to bed for an early flight, and the bar was closed for a private event and would not let anyone up before 930pm. The "Signature Lounge" only offers tea, coffee, and water outside of select hours so could not get a drink there, even though they have a bar there and it is a paid service area. At check out, on our bill, we were charged for 2 nights of a room upgrade (We could have also recieved it for free since our Traveler "Gold Status" is supposed to come with them when able). That included the signature lounge and breakfast for 2 at about $55 USD per day. We only were at the hotel for 1 day worth of Breakfast and lounge use, but we were charged for 2 days of it. (Breakfast started at 6am, we checked out by 5:45am for a flight) I asked for the 1,450,000 Dong charge to come off of our bill for the 2nd charge and was told it wasn't possible, and even after explaining why that makes no sense I got nowhere. Room Service was slow and brought the wrong items, and took 30+ minutes to bring up the correct item. Room was decent though, decent size with comfortable bedding. TV a little outdated but otherwise room was good. Pool was large and had plenty of sea

Everything about this hotel is excellent. However, this time I wanted to spend time in the gym and the locker and spa facilities but I’ve learned the hard way the locker is closed at 9 pm. I had to go back to my room for the needed shower.

Best location in the city! You really can’t go wrong with Caravelle. It’s so convenient for sightseeing, taking the metro, city tour bus, and walking to various famous landmarks. The room is upscale and very comfortable. We love the breakfast buffet with many Vietnamese, Asian, and Western options, juices and fresh fruits are plentiful and very tasty. The concierge is very helpful in getting our laundry done quickly and booking a day tour for us. The only complaint is our room has a moldy smell. We asked for an air freshener but it didn’t help much. We think it’s from the old carpet so they should consider replacing the carpet or freshen up the room a bit. Otherwise our stay was lovely.

The hotel breakfast was excellent, very diverse. Unfortunately the room had a very musty smell which hurt my lungs. Management kept showing us rooms well below our room value to exchange, which really angered us. We solved the problem ourselves with disinfectant, which we advised hotel management to do. They dropped us like a hot potato when we would not accept their substandard rooms. The hotel is well situated, but rooms do smell. Pool is smaller than shown, but adequate. Overall good except for strong musty smell. Management will ignore you if you don't accept lower room quality.

Ett trevligt hotell, med kanonläge i city, dock något bedagat. Vi bokade 2 twinroom och de hade en kraftig doft av fukt, vi fick direkt byta rum men doften bestod, de satte dock snabbt in avfuktare i rummen och det blev ok. Personalen var oerhört trevliga och måna om att det skulle bli bra för oss. Så tack för fin service!

Perfect location. Walkable to all major attractions in downtown HCMC. Business lounge is great , afternoon cocktail & food options are wonderful. One downside is the loud music & noise from karaoke or bar from the street coming through the glass window. Room is soundproof from inside the hallway though. Overall everything is great.

The Caravelle Saigon is a lovely Hotel. We asked for a late check out as our flight back to Sydney was late evening and although the hotel was fully booked out the staff gave us an option to stay in a different room with no extra charge to accommodate our request, which reflects good customer service. The hotel itself is modern and due to its location..right in the heart of Ho Chi Minh, was extremely busy throughout our stay there. The rooms are spacious, beautifully appointed, and provide stunning views of the city. Its located just steps away from the Opera House and within walking distance of many of the city’s highlights. The dining options were excellent, from the buffet to the rooftop bar with its breathtaking skyline views. Great Hotel and would definitely recommend *****

Great hotel with fast internet and friendly staff. The street is a bit laud on the weekend but it is not hotel’s fault, just a central location where a lot starts from early morning. If yoy do not care about noise from 6am, it is an excellent hotel choice. If you want to sleep longer, as for a room on the back of the hotel further from the central street / Opera House.

I was denied a copy of my room service receipt by the room service personnel and told that I had to request it at check out. I requested it at checkout and was told that they have to email it to me. I was never emailed anything. So both room service personnel and the check out staff failed to complete simple tasks in denying me a receipt for purchase and then not providing it as promised via email later either

I've stayed at Caravelle before and I like it because of the great customer service and clean hotel in a busy district. However I was disappointed with my reservation this time as I had checked in to my hotel at 7:00pm only to find out that the hotel had CANCELLED my reservation at 4:00pm. Although they did email me to confirm, I had been flying all day so had no access to check my email. Because we were already there and tired, I re-booked the room only to find out that our original room is no longer available and the only option was VIP. Sure, it's great to have VIP but not for an exaggerate price tag when that wasn't the room I originally booked. They did not do anything for me to assist with this inconvenience. What would have been ideal is if they could honour the original price booking. Because of their customer service to loyal customers and not offering any better solution, I will never stay at Caravelle again.

I was here 15 years ago and i was amazed. Came back and Caravelle still has the same aky high standard. Breakfast is great, service is amazing, rooms are impeccable. It has everything you need for a good price. As an example of the service and eye for detail; i had my birthday during my stay. The staff saw when i left for dinner and snuck up to my room to give me a small birthday pastry. Really shows that they care.

Whether it was providing recommendations for local attractions or ensuring my room was impeccably cleaned and stocked with everything I needed, the level of service was truly exceptional. It's evident that the staff take great pride in providing top-notch hospitality. Big thanks to the Signature Lounge team(Quynh, Hoang, Chau, Tram, Chu and Hiep). This cohesive team provided next level service that was well worth the extra cost. I would also like to thank the general manager Jean Philippe Lovotti. Rest assured you are in excellent hands with JP managing the hotel. Definitely world class management!!! Whether I wanted to visit the Opera House, go to the Saigon Centre, or enjoy a leisurely stroll through Nguyen Hue, everything was just a stone's throw away. The hotel's on-site restaurant Nineteen offered a diverse menu of dishes that catered to various tastes. My favorite was the abalone soup!! I had the pleasure of trying some of the local specialties, such as beef pho noodle soup. The Reflections restaurant offered impeccable service and food in a very romantic setting. Access to the lounge augmented my experience with great food, first-class service and spectacular views of the Opera House below.

The location of the hotel is excellent, situated right next to the Opera House. However, my colleagues and I found the room soundproofing to be inadequate for a hotel of this caliber. We often heard street noise, especially during the busy afternoon and evening traffic. Additionally, there were concerns about privacy. Our rooms were opened solely for the purpose of placing a notice about a fire drill practice. On one occasion, a colleague was in the washroom when staff knocked on the door and then entered after 20 seconds. This kind of privacy intrusion is surprising, especially for a 5-star hotel. Another colleague indicated that he only activated the Do-Not-Disturb sign on one day of our stay, but security and the staff manager still entered his room while he was meeting with me in mine. Such actions are not appropriate and violate the expectation of privacy that guests should have.

Good location, within walking distance to many main tourist sites including the Opera House, the subway station, Ben Thành Market to name a few. The staff was helpful, professional, & courteous. The facilities were nice, underwhelmed breakfasts, room size smaller than expected. I did enjoy the swimming pool. Overall it was a nice relaxing stay.
