Room looking a little tired with no electric sockets by the bed to charge phone which was annoying. Extra for parking and gym so looks like a good deal but isn't. Not sure why they charge for parking as where else are you supposed to park your car and over 5 miles from Hull city centre.

Generally nice hotel. However, breakfast options were very limited if you did not want a cooked breakfast and expensive considering what was on offer. Could have done with more fruit, yogurt, continental style breakfast etc. Had to pay £5 extra each night for parking which was a bit disappointing considering the hotel was over 5 miles from city center and where else where you supposed to park? Gym and pool were an extra £5 a night when other nearby similarly priced hotels offered this in the price.

The staff was courteous, the breakfast was lovely, the room was comfortable and the amenities : the gym and pool, were superb! The on site Starbucks was icing on the cake. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Hull.

Hotel OK. Rooms looking a little tired with no air con or charging points but bedside. Have to pay extra for use of gym/pool and parking is £5 per day. Looks like a good rate until you add all extras in that should be included as standard - where else are you going to part you car when staying there as hotel is 5 miles from Hull centre?

First the positives: helpful and professional staff, comfy bed and a good shower. Sadly the stay got off to a bad start with no decaff coffee in the room or available at reception, or for breakfast, are we back in the '90s? Fortunately the receptionist organised a couple of complimentary drinks from the onsite Starbucks. As there's no air conditioning there was a fan in the room. This had been much appreciated by a local spider who's cobweb from a few days earlier was still partly attached to it, the tv and the back wall. The poor cleaning was further emphasised by the presence of a dead flying insect that hadn't been cleaned from the window frame. Finally at bedtime I couldn't find a way of turning off the main room light other than by taking the key card out of the box inside the door, leaving me with an uncharged phone in the morning. Apparently this light switch is hidden behind the tv - Village put a sign up, it's not hard!

For the money, this does not represent value for money. Nice room, but bathrooms becoming dated. Cleanliness not great - pubic hairs around base of toilet, and the carpet had clearly not been hoovered in quite a while. Got the room cheaper than usual, but would not be happy had I paid the rates I usually see this hotel at. Good WiFi.

One of the dirtiest hotels I've stayed in for years! Had to change rooms as mine was obviously uncleaned - dirty carpet with debri on the floor; dust everywhere; uncleaned cups & spoons with obvious usage still on them. Lift was a dirty pithole and H&S hazard and had obviously not been mopped in a long while. Carpet in the hallway on 2nd floor looks like it has not been hoovered in months - you can see the dust gathering everywhere. Asked for an extra bed sheet from 3 different people, and I'm still waiting for it, even though I left 3 days ago! Front desk too disorganised and keeps you waiting very long when multiple people checking in on the 'self-service' machines, that don't work properly.

Toilet seat was loose and there was dirt on the toilet seat. When I mentioned to reception they said they would pass to duty manager. Duty manager then said to another member of staff loudly across restaurant that he wasn't going to fix seat because of it breaks worse then he's to blame. Very unprofessional and nothing was done to resolve at the time. I had to clean the toilet seat myself.

Friendly staff and comfortable bar and eating area. Room carpet was badly stained and also smell of drains was noted in bathroom which was not good. Rest of room was ok. Warm day so air conditioning would be good to have in rooms.

Arrived at the hotel and it looks as good as the photos. Tried booking in but only computers to book in, found a member of staff to help out as we had questions the computer couldn’t help with. The room was ok, windows that only open a few inches and a fan that didn’t really do anything. No air conditioning so air movement was very stale. The bed seemed comfortable and when it was bedtime we found out that what we thought was the duvet was infact the mattress topper, there was a thin sheet and the duvet was in the cupboard but didn’t have a cover. There was a wedding party at the hotel and from 23:00 until 02:00 they were running around the floors shouting and banging on doors. Spoke to staff about it in the morning to be told that’s what’s you expect when there is a wedding party there. Good luck getting sleep if there is a wedding when you stay. The hotel itself was pretty nice, the pool and facilities were good, lots of room service trays left over the corridors with dirty plates and food, general rubbish left over the floors in the hallways. It was a room for us to get some rest in, hoped it would have been better but know not to use it again if we come to Hull.

I've only marked the surrounding area down because there's nothing really around there, but that's not a bad thing. In some ways it's good. The hotel is on an industrial estate surrounded by a lot of car dealerships. What that does mean is there's no passing traffic, it's very quiet because of this. Take nothing away from the hotel. All the staff we met were all very polite and helpful. The checking in process was very easy and the room very easy to find. The room was great. Spacious with a lsrge bathroom with bath and shower. The supplied shower gel and hair shampoo were extremely nice too. Tea and coffee facilities were also great as well as a large tv with sky sports included. Plenty of hangers for your clothes and drawers. The only negative is no USB charging points. But we had brought plugs anyway. Breakfast was lovely. Hot food was a selection. Bacon, sausage, scrambled egg, beans, mushrooms, sliced and cooked potatoes and halved tomatoes cooked. Limitless! Toast croissants, pan au chocolate, cereals, fruit, yoghurt. There really was a great selection. We had dinner one night with a great selection of good food, all served piping hot and tasty. The wings with buffalo sauce were especially nice. All in all a very nice place to stay, we will return again if needs be.

Decent. But after 20years the rooms and hallways need updating asap. Rooms are tired and old. There is no ac in any room or hallways so that tells you how bad the hotel needs an update. Makes it uncomfortable.

Waited 15mins to be addressed by reception who was dealing with another guest. Once checked in, dropped off bags and came straight to the bar and ordered a meal. Meal itself was nice but waited over 20mins for my dessert before I called it a night and had to request for it to be removed from my bill. Rooms very basic, clean enough but you can hear neighbouring rooms especially from guests above walking around. Ok stay.

There’s a park and ride service within a couple of minutes walk from the hotel that we used to get to Hull city centre. The staff at the hotel were really friendly and helpful.

Staff were very helpful and friendly the phoned me before my stay to sort out a accessible room. The shower was amazing very powerful with 2 different heads to use, the beds were very comfortable and looked like a new carpet. Has a big car park so parking no problem and was free with the stay. Breakfast was very good not a huge selection of pastries or bread and scrambled eggs were alittle wet. I did here someone asked for fried and they wete very happy to do that, so I would ask next time.

Staff were amazing however cleaners in the morning were extremely noisey and woke us up early on hoth morning of our stay. Room was cleam although we had to request shampoo and body wash for the shower on first night as our were empy. The staff on check in (james i think) couldnt have been more helpful and sorted it out straight away though. Food was amazing and all staff through out our stay both on the bar and in the hotel were lovely and went above and beyond. Would definitely recommend amd will definitely be staying again.

Paid £145 used the gym and there was no hot water for a shower in the entire building. Complained to staff stating that I had paid alot of money for no shower, And was going on a business evening out stinking. They offered me a free beer, if which I rejected, left my number for the manager to call me, to get a full refund, and no one called me. Disgusting

Reception and check in were excellent and very friendly. It is near to Hessle Town centre, so went there for a curry. Had a nice Latte, but they dont do a hot chocolate. Would be a good idea to add that to rheir offering. They didn't have any decaff coffee for the room. Looking forward to using the pool facility.

The hotel and staff were very welcoming. Rooms were very clean. Only disappointing aspect was the breakfast, which I would rate as only fair. Self service Coffee machine that gave poor quality drinks and a basic selection of food. Would stay at the hotel agin but would not pay extra for the breakfast.

Great for a night's stay. The room had recently been refurbished and was of a nice standard. Staff friendly and easy to check in and out. Massive car park, parking being free. The only let down was the breakfast. The hot food offerings were poor. Powdered eggs, cheap sausages and bacon. Coffee was wasn't the best. However there is a Starbucks on site.

Unfortunately, I had a terrible nights sleep. You can hear vividly the noises of people entering and exiting their room and their conversations. The bathroom was cold with no towel rail or heating. The room was nice overall though. The breakfast was basic and lacking many healthy options.

Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The bathroom could be updated, a bit basic. Breakfast was so disappointing that I actually asked for a refund as it was so poor. The restaurant was not, in my opinion, clean and the food looked and tasted like it had been out since the day before. I also don’t think as a resident you should be charged to park

Confusing that a wellbeing centric hotel chain centred around gyms and swim has a restaurant that only seeks junk food. 1 vegan option (a burger) on the menu and everything is deep fried it seems. 90% meat based menu really lets the rest of the hotel down which is a shame. I love a hotel with a gym but probably won't be using village again considering it's not exactly the cheapest.
