Tonquin Inn

Some maintenance activities but nothing that impacted our stay. Room was clean and newly renovated! Make sure you pack a robe or something to wear to and from pool or hot tubs. They have lots of outdoor patio/seating areas!

The property had a welcome package for our dog. Also a pet bed for her to sleep on as well as some treats. The room was very clean and the beds were comfy. The shower had a lot of pressure. The reception area had tea and coffee for the guests. The hotel was in walking distance for restaurants and bars. Area was quiet as well. Great place to stay.

Room was clean and spacious. Staff friendly and fast.

Our room wasn’t ready when we arrived, staff said they’d call us when it was, we waited 2 1/2 hours and returned about 4:15pm still hadn’t received a call The room smelt terrible, do we opened all windows to get some fresh air in there. Asked for a room on the main floor but we’re given third floor the farthest around the back of the buildings Price of the room more than doubled from 2 weeks prior when we were last there. Will try another hotel next time

We had the worst sleep we’ve ever had in a hotel because the air conditioning wasn’t working and our room smelled like cigarettes. When we asked the front desk to fix the air conditioning, someone came and fixed it - and it worked for about 10 minutes before reverting to warm air again. When we told staff about our experience at checkout, they feigned sympathy but weren’t too bothered. We’ve never had a bad experience at the Tonquin before, and have always been eager to support anything but Pursuit … but yeesh … this stay was a hot, stinky stay.
