Hotel looks tired, most of the staff very chatty and helpful. Shower leaked continuously, hot water was cold in the morning but hot in the evening. Food average, beer was good.

All of the staff was wonderful — the night staff was very helpful, and the day staff was great!!! Thank you Zoey and everyone!!! This is a very nice, clean property, often used for weddings. Book early as this property books out. Driving distance to Edinburgh or Glasgow.

Adequate. Room good size and repair in bathroom sorted. It was a useful base as we drove to local station with free parking to get into Edinburgh daily. Huge breakfast first morning. Last morning as per menu but significantly smaller. No lift, so heavy cases up a staircase. Bathroom tap water not drinking but supplied bottle water free.

Hotel easy to find, well located for motorway. Plenty of parking, (free). Friendly reception staff, Room spacious, clean, tea, coffee, bottled water and biscuits provided. The fridge with icebox an added touch. Shower over the bath, quality soaps, shower gel and shampoo provided along with clean quality towels. Large comfortable bed. Only negative was lack of sound proofing between rooms, could hear next door talking and coughing. Would stay again.

Unfortunate the rooms do not have window screens as it was very hot that evening and so could not leave window open due to no screen and so many mosquitos etc. Street facing room quite loud late into the night with traffic passing close. Unfortunately the guest across the hall was in and out of the room every 10-15 mins from midnight until near 3am and their door slammed every time. The hotel should do proper maintenance to make sure all room doors close soft. Great service on arrival, easy free parking and decent quality restaurant with fair pricing,.

The location is conveniently located for public transport. Self parking if you have own car and Bar open. The stuff are wonderful, professional and helpful to cater for residents need. I had two elderly auntie and they kindly relocated them from First floor to ground floor

Great location for getting to Murrayfield. Helpful and friendly staff. Amazingly we didn’t hear the wedding parties in full swing both nights we were there (my heart sank initially when I saw them). Rooms were nice and clean although could’ve done with some extra deep hoovering at the carpet edges next to wall. Would recommend. Particularly the staff. They were great.

Reception area ok, room pretty grim. Many signs of wear and tear - shower head riser broken, marks/stains on walls, desk not clean, dusty kettle, blind was dirty and ripped, no chair for desk (man-handle on of the other chairs. No usb points for recharging but you can borrow a grubby usb plug from reception. Just bath towel and hand towel provided, hidden in wardrobe, use hand towel as bathmat. Wouldn't take much to improve. Not asked if my stay was ok so they can have feedback on Expedia.

Room and bathroom were quiet, clean and well presented, although bathroom did have a mild damp smell. When we spoke to staff on check-out we were essentially told that the further away from the hot water system your room is then you get less hot water when the system is in demand. Very frustrating that this is a known issue and they still insist on putting people in those rooms. Even more frustrating that there was very little apology from the staff about the issue who had a “well that’s just the way it is” attitude about our experience. As someone who frequently stays in Best Western hotels this wasn’t the level of service I have previously experienced from the brand and I will not be staying here again.

We had a late arrival and the reception staff were great and very helpful. They chatted for a few minutes while we checked in which was good as some places they ignore you and dont make conversation. The room was very clean and tidy and the bed was soooo comfortable.

Great stay, very helful and friendly staff. Excellent breakfast and room extremely clean . Only let down was a rip in the head board of our room. Not a huge issue but didn't look great appearance wise. There was a wedding on during our stay which did not affect us at all with regards to late noise. Would definately recommend and would return.

Check in was good, kind and efficient staff, I was only there for one night. The room was nice, spacious enough, large bed with what I assume to be memory foam mattress, which was a treat, could've done with a plug socket by the bed, otherwise it was okay. Breakfast the next morning was something to be desired, waited 30 minutes to be offered any kind of hot drinks or toast, and the waitress who eventually took my order looked as though she'd rather be elsewhere. I can excuse the fact that there was a large party staying overnight which could've been a factor in the service delay, however some recognition wouldn't have gone amiss. The breakfast itself was average, overcooked fried egg, potato scone which I'm sure had seen better days, and the beans were lukewarm. Would I stay here again? Only out of sheer convenience, for what I paid I expected slightly more.

The staff are friendly and welcoming. The rooms were very clean. However, in August, our rooms were extremely hot- no air circulation. The window only opens a few inches on the top. The plastic desk fan doesn’t help. The food at the restaurant was very good.

Ordered a birthday cake in advance. Reminded about the cake during check in and requested to prepare the chocolate cake ready by midnight, and they promised that it is ready. At midnight when asked , they said it is "missing ". However they arranged a small lemon sponge cake ( from tesco ) after waiting for 2 hrs.

We used this hotel as a base while visiting family. Close to a few big attractions like Falkirk wheel , kelpies , Bo’ness Steam Railway , Linlithgow palace and lock , and of coarse the bridges over the river Forth I would like to recommend this hotel and it’s lovely staff to anyone who might be considering staying here

Stopped on the way too and from Edinburgh Airport over a 2 week period. Two different rooms both excellent. Very clean. Hreat breakfast and friendly staff. Ideal for staying near Edinburgh with Airport about 20 minutes away and park and ride/tram station. I travel for work and plan to keep using this gem.

Lovely hotel within half an hour of Edinburgh airport. Plenty of free parking too. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Highly recommend if you need to be near the airport without paying ridiculous airport hotel prices

The staff were extremely accommodating and friendly. I plan on staying here when I come back to Scotland. It is central to both Edinburgh and Glasgow which is awesome and not too busy.

Adequate. Room good size and repair in bathroom sorted. It was a useful base as we drove to local station with free parking to get into Edinburgh daily. Huge breakfast first morning. Last morning as per menu but significantly smaller. No lift, so heavy cases up a staircase. Bathroom tap water not drinking but supplied bottle water free.

Hotel easy to find, well located for motorway. Plenty of parking, (free). Friendly reception staff, Room spacious, clean, tea, coffee, bottled water and biscuits provided. The fridge with icebox an added touch. Shower over the bath, quality soaps, shower gel and shampoo provided along with clean quality towels. Large comfortable bed. Only negative was lack of sound proofing between rooms, could hear next door talking and coughing. Would stay again.

When i booked I didn't realize it was out of Edinburgh, kinda long bus trip but as soon as we arrived we loved the place. The staff was amazing in accommodating us early, although busy with a wedding. The room was very clean and the food was amazing. Highly recommended!

The room was clean and tidy, however, there was no kettle and tea bags for tea.. The breakfast was not the usual buffet but arather limited choice (photo), one had to order the hot breakfast from the menu. One would think it would make it individually for each customer reducing food waste, however, they forgot to bring my bacon and brought too many mushrooms even I'd asked for just a bit of mushrooms When I asked for the cheese/meet platter, they brought a plate of grated cheddar cheese and a few slices of processed ham, which was rather disappointing as compared to other Best Western hotels we stayed at.

Check in was good, kind and efficient staff, I was only there for one night. The room was nice, spacious enough, large bed with what I assume to be memory foam mattress, which was a treat, could've done with a plug socket by the bed, otherwise it was okay. Breakfast the next morning was something to be desired, waited 30 minutes to be offered any kind of hot drinks or toast, and the waitress who eventually took my order looked as though she'd rather be elsewhere. I can excuse the fact that there was a large party staying overnight which could've been a factor in the service delay, however some recognition wouldn't have gone amiss. The breakfast itself was average, overcooked fried egg, potato scone which I'm sure had seen better days, and the beans were lukewarm. Would I stay here again? Only out of sheer convenience, for what I paid I expected slightly more.

The staff are friendly and welcoming. The rooms were very clean. However, in August, our rooms were extremely hot- no air circulation. The window only opens a few inches on the top. The plastic desk fan doesn’t help. The food at the restaurant was very good.

Was given room 6 which is right next to the stairwell. Was noisy into the wee hours. Did not get a good night's sleep. The hotel was clean and staff was nice. They did let me check in an hour early and carried my luggage up the stairs for me as there is no lift.
