Staff very friendly, excellent location, ideal valet parking (save dragging suitcases across the city). Only minor issue was dirty in the bathroom in front of the toilet bowl which due to it being late at night we just covered with a hand towel.

This was an awesome hotel. 10' walk from train station and no stairs (however, there are cobblestones). The front desk staff were particularly awesome. I forget her name, but one of the ladies was so helpful when my husband needed some medical help. Very much appreciated! The only small negative is that the soap dispensers were VERY hard for me to squeeze (both shower & sink) to get soap dispensed - but I do have arthritis :( Other than that, don't hesitate to book these lovely, yet affordable hotel.

The location was excellent! Walkable to many shops and restaurants and the lake. Take a swim. It’s beautiful. If you’re bringing a car, getting to the hotel is really tricky and you have to drive on what you think are pedestrian only streets!! Once you get to the hotel, staff parks your car and returns it to you when you want to leave.👍

fantastic location 12 min walking from the train station, comfortable bedding, is clean. they offer luggage storage before check-in but it is not secured by anything so a little sketchy. the bathroom faucet in my room was leaky, which was annoying. would stay again though, price was fine.

This is an excellent hotel in a great location with superb service!!! It is very convenient to shopping and dining. The room was spacious, very clean, and overlooked the plaza. We arrived on early afternoon Saturday, and there was a market on the plaza so we were not able to drive our car to the hotel for valet parking. We parked very nearby on another plaza and walked to the hotel with our bags. We told the gentleman we wanted to use their valet parking and told him where we were parked. Well, we parked our car in the wrong place and could have gotten a ticket. He quickly checked us in and went to move our car to the proper location!!! We arrived before check-in and he put our bags in a locked room. When checking out, he retrieved our car and loaded our bags for us. I highly recommend this hotel as the location and service is awesome.

Very close to everything, roughly a 10 or so minute walk from main train station. Had the top floor so had a good sized balcony however lift was only to the 4th floor. The young man at the reception was extremely nice, welcomed me straight away and every time I left the hotel or came back he acknowledged me. Reasons for the low score was - the room was extremely hot, felt like I was in a sauna 24/7, there was no air con just 2 little fans that barely did anything. The shower head was broken - I had the shower head on the side going diagonal from the wall meaning I was literally showering pressed against the wall and the body,hand and shampoo wash. When I arrived I checked the bed like I always do, and there was multiple bugs underneath the pillows. The mini fridge was jammed packed with the hotels products - I paid for the hotel so I should be able to freely use the fridge. The pillows on the bed was also nonexistent- felt like I had no support, like I had no pillow on the bed.

Property looks nicer online than in person. No air conditioning either which is rough when Switzerland is having a heat wave. Shower curtain kept falling off. Elevator is tiny. Wouldn’t stay here again. Surprised it has a 3 star rating honestly

The rooms were as pictured. The beds were very comfortable, one of the softest beds I have stayed in during my trip in Europe. The bathroom however was not clean. There was black mold all over the shower and the tub had not been scrubbed in a long time.

Great location and easy to walk to from Luzern train station. Property needs to be renovated; the room showed a lot of wear and tear. Wasn't very clean either. Bathroom was fine and shower was decent for European standards. It was okay for the few days I was in Luzern but should I return I would not stay here again.

The hotel is in a great location for touring Lucerne and the old town. Three of the four front desk staff were amazing to deal with but one was somewhat crusty and not very friendly. The room was quite dark…we needed to use our phone flashlight to see the coffee maker. Bathroom shower had mold along the edges. The room definitely needed a refresh of paint etc. The hallways made us feel like we were staying in a hostel or a college dorm. Better colours and a few paintings would help make it more inviting.

The hotel was in a wonderful area but there was no air conditioning. It was super hot the first night there and did not sleep well. We are grateful for the extra fans provided but they were not strong fans. 2 out of the 4 fans worked properly. Opening the window caused a lot of bugs to come in. The staff did not clean the dead bugs on the table

Hotel was clean, staff was really nice, area is perfect. A few things could use improvement. Since the place has no AC, windows must be open during warm months but the windows have no screens and bugs were a problem. They provided fans but they were very weak. There was a coffee maker but no hot water kettle, so no tea could be made. Water pressure was really pathetic. - Valet parking was awesome considering the location within the pedestrian center. Staff really answered questions and one guy in particular went above and beyond. Breakfast was ho-hum and there are better places to eat nearby. I do not regret staying there but wouldn’t book it again.

The location was great and was within walking distance to almost all of our points of interests. The room was spacious and had pretty good amenities, but with only one fan (triple room), it became unbearable at times to sleep through the active heatwave. We tried asking the receptionist for an extra fan, but we were told that all were in use. The beds were generally comfortable, and fortunately, the receptionist/housekeeping was able to rearrange our three beds to maximize the fan’s reach. The other receptionist also helped called us a taxi to the train station. The wifi was unfortunately very unstable. There were hours where there was basically no wifi in our room. A lot of the TV channels were also not available. I wish we were told in advance that a Lucerne Visitor Pass would be provided as part of our stay, since it would have affected how we purchased the Swiss Travel Pass. Had we known that the Lucerne Visitor Pass would have provided basically the same benefits, we would have purchased a different travel pass instead and saved more money.

Hotel was fine. Front desk clerk was very friendly. Room was also fine - comfortable bed and clean. Good location in the old town and easy walk to the train station. The “problem” with the hotel is it was quite hot (thermostat seems to have been for decoration only) and nothing soft to absorb sound, so if someone came in late you heard them.

Because there was no air conditioning, we had to open windows (it does cool off nicely at night) and leave drapes open. Room was facing the square and a huge construction project was going on next door. If we managed to fall asleep over the noise of the small room fan provided by the hotel, we were awakened in the very early morning by the incredible noise of hammering, trucks, cranes, delivery vehicles—you get the picture. This started at 6 am. Probably got a very light 6 hours of sleep in two nights. Room was huge, had an extra twin bed? Okay bathroom. Front desk staff efficient. Couldn’t wait to check out and get a good nights sleep anywhere else. PS: I always check for elevators and AC when I book hotels overseas. I like the small boutique hotels for their charm and character. I might have missed the lack of air but . . . This hotel also lacked charm and character. Ver, very disappointing.

I have to command Dustin and Patricia on their fabulous work ethic during my stay there. The only issue was with the front desk staff in the morning. He was very look and rude.

Great location! Our room was hot. Only welcoming staff was the young gentleman in the afternoon/evening. Morning front desk help was arrogant and rude and so was the lady in restaurant for breakfast so we ate elsewhere.

The receptionist was very rude. The one room available at the time we arrived was tiny and extremely hot, not at all what the photos and description of the hotel showed on Hotels.com. The luggage storage room was unlocked and open to everyone. We left immediately after checking in and paying fees and breakfast for 3 nights as well as the original pre-payment for the 2 rooms for 3 nights of $1,908.62. We told the clerk that we wanted refunds but he didn't respond so we left. We still want a refund!!

Great location in the Old City in a very pretty cobble-stoned square. My family walked with our luggage from the train station over the walking bridge to this hotel—about 800 meters. Plenty of shopping, restaurants in this neighborhood and you have the Nine Towers very close by behind the hotel. (Great views of the city from up there). Reception staff were very friendly and the hotel was clean and perfect.

The hotel’s location was excellent. Check-in and check-out were very easy. The room was clean and functional. The staff were helpful and friendly. If I come back to Lucerne, I would definitely choose this hotel again without hesitation. As a small note, the room could have been a bit warmer.

The location was excellent! Walkable to many shops and restaurants and the lake. Take a swim. It’s beautiful. If you’re bringing a car, getting to the hotel is really tricky and you have to drive on what you think are pedestrian only streets!! Once you get to the hotel, staff parks your car and returns it to you when you want to leave.👍

Hotel was clean, staff was really nice, area is perfect. A few things could use improvement. Since the place has no AC, windows must be open during warm months but the windows have no screens and bugs were a problem. They provided fans but they were very weak. There was a coffee maker but no hot water kettle, so no tea could be made. Water pressure was really pathetic. - Valet parking was awesome considering the location within the pedestrian center. Staff really answered questions and one guy in particular went above and beyond. Breakfast was ho-hum and there are better places to eat nearby. I do not regret staying there but wouldn’t book it again.

Great location; very good breakfast! Janine served GF bread to my husband and he was happy! USB plugs in room were not working but we were fine. Good sized room; bathroom had a tub! I’m not a fan of the combined shampoo and body wash; I missed having some lotion and conditioner.

It faces a plaza. When we woke up Saturday morning we had a market at our door. It was delightful. The breakfast buffet was typical European buffet with some lovely Kinder bars.

Excellent location. Excellent breakfast. Only two small things- shower space is too small and no AC. May be AC is not as much important because it never gets to hot here anyway. Instead they do have fan. So not bad. Overall I will give 4.5 stars for sure.

Loved our stay here - affordable and right in the center of town. We thought breakfast was way overpriced so we didn’t do it. Otherwise, super clean and otherwise an awesome choice for a hotel. If you have a car, you’ll need to park across the river.

Schönes Grosses Zimmer, bequemes Bett. Das Hotel liegt am Weinmarkt und dort ist es in der Nacht sehr ruhig, jedenfalls im Januar wo wir dort waren. Freundliches Personal und ein gemütlicher Frühstückraum mit gutem Frühstück. Wir kommen nächstes Jahr wieder 😃

This was a delightful location! The buildings surrounding are art pieces out of history. We loved the convenience for visiting the busier areas of Lucern and then being tucked away a couple blocks out of the hustle and bustle of the city. They offered two fans if temperatures were warm and a complimentary espresso machine, with wine, and other snacks for purchase.
