El hotel está muy bien ubicado, a una cuadra de la plaza principal y la catedral, las habitaciones están bien aunque podría estar en mejor estado. El lado definitivamente malo es que se anuncian como que tienen estacionamiento, pero su estacionamiento está a casi 3 calles del hotel, no hay servicio de valet parking, solo sale una persona del hotel y se sube a tu auto para indicarte donde es, una vez te estacionaste hay que caminar esas cuadras con el equipaje en nuestro caso llegamos casi a media noche, muy poco conveniente

Fantastic location close to central plaza. Only warning is that if you have a rental car, the hotel has no parking on site. It’s a 4 block hike to get to the parking lot they use.

The building is historic and lovely, located in the city center on a nice little plaza. It’s set off the street and the free parking is 3 blocks away. The rooms are well equipped, showing their age but comfortable. I couldn’t get hot water in the morning but I didn’t really need it. A good variety of options for breakfast. It’s very quiet because the rooms only have windows on the courtyard. I would stay there again.

We loved the central location, the courtyard, the pool on the roof was definitely another highlight. Staff was friendly, room was neat and clean, windows facing the atrium made for quiet sleep. We didn't use the restaurant on site as we loved exploring different restaurants and markets. I would suggest adding a mini fridge to the room to keep some perishable snacks or cold drinks. Gaps in the windows made the AC slightly less efficient, but I don't pay the energy bills in this place. I was sceptical of Merida at first, but I definitely fell in love with the city and Hotel Caribe contributed to this a lot. I'm already thinking when can I come again!

There is a nice roof top pool but only 4 lounge chairs. The included breakfast was okay - eggs, toast, coffee and juice or fruit al fresco. Waiters were very attentive as was front desk.

Muy bonito hotel, con unos detallitos en los cuartos, humedad, cositas rotas, pero fuera de eso muy bien. Tienen estacionamiento, tienes que dejar en depósito 200 pesos para la tarjeta del estacionamiento y el belboy te lleva hasta el lugar ( está a dos cuadras y super amplio), tienen alberca con vista a la cathédrale de Mérida. Está súper bien ubicado. Personal de recepción muy lindos.

El hotel es bonito, tipo colonial, cuando llegamos olía mucho a insecticida tanto en el lobby y habitación, las camas y ropa de cama muy bien así como el clima, el primer día nos dieron unas toallas que aunque limpias tenían un color nejo, esto da una mala impresión. Bien por la TV que es Smart y que la limpieza la realizaban a tiempo. Personal serio pero amable.

Es la 3ra ocasion que me quedo en el hotel Caribe. Y me pude percatar que las habitaciones del piso superior son ven mas grandes y nuevas. Nos quedamos en la habitación 10, en el piso de abajo, y en 2 ocasiones se metieron cucarachas. El soporte de la regadera estaba roto y nunca limpiaron la mesa de la habitación. Estuvo sucia desde que llegamos. Tiene las comodidades justas por el precio, pero quiza detalles como la limpieza y la regadera, podrian ser mejores.

La ubicación es excelente, tiene estacionamiento a dos cuadras de hotel, el hotel es bonito en areas comunes y la alberca, excelente relación calidad precio. Las habitaciones ya estan algo descuidadas pero limpias a excepción de las paredes se ven sucias, los muebles desgastados y el colchón no era el mejor pero estuvo bien para una noche, osea el hotel esta bien para una noche o dos y por el costo esta muy bien. El internet funcionó bien. En cuanto a servicio te atienden bien pero si les falta mejorarlo, les falta calidez.

The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful with any information needed. Tours were easy to book through them as well. The premises was clean and welcoming but the room was a bit disappointing, definitely needs updating. The shower head needs replacing and there is a bad smell coming from the drains.

Es un hotel con hermosa instalación en el estilo típico de la región. Buena ubicación y acceso a transporte. Habitaciónes de buena dimensión solo les faltó un poco de detalle en mantenimiento. Por la ubicación céntrica hay ruido del exterior lo cual a mi no me molestó. Pero otros lo consideren.

Hotel property poor customer service. First room ..toilet damaged. So we moved and second room was leaking, but asked them just bring towels. No breakfast included in price and I told them the ad said free breakfast. I will not argue with anyone about this. We went out to eat breakfast since I was going to spend monies anyways. One person.. Victor was very very helpful each and every time we needed anything. Other than that.. it’s misleading.

What we liked about the hotel were the good location and the price at $60 per night. That’s where the good items ended. When I went to take a shower one morning, there was no hot water. Later on in the day, when we told the staff about it, all they said was “you should’ve reported it when it happened“. The Internet Wi-Fi was sketchy and very slow, and that was aggravating. When we tried to use the phone in the room to call the front desk, the phone wasn’t working. That was also annoying. So, if all you care about is price and location, by all means stay at Hotel Caribe. As for us, we will never stay there again.

We had difficulty checking in. There was confusion concerning our reservation. They insisted that we had booked two rooms for just the two of us. It took far too long to clear up the confusion. Apparently another person with the same first name reserved the additional room. Not the same last name.

This is a lovely older, but well maintained hotel in Merida with beautiful gardens and open air dining for breakfast. It is convenient for walking to the Main Plaza, shopping and restaurants. The front desk personnel were friendly and helpful, and other staff members were efficient. I had a very enjoyable stay.

Belle endroit avec sa cour intérieur. Chambre au premier niveau odeur d'humidité dans le chambre mais tout était propre. Manque de chaise à la piscine et si non elle sont brisé. Bar a la piscine fermé, pas moyen d'acheter des drinks dans l'hôtel... Le restaurent est ouvert seulement pour le déjeuné. Cette établissement a un très grand potentiel mais malheureusement mal exploité. Emplacement idéal.

It’s very well located in front of a park but the room is at the back of the building which is quiet. The breakfast (paid extra to have it included) was very good - the fruit bowl was very generous!! It’s nice to have an elevator. The roof top has nice views of the surrounding area- good place to take a few photos…

We only stayed one night at Hotel Caribe, but we knew how great it was just in that one night! They had an absolutely amazing breakfast, parking comes included with your stay upon request. The building is absolutely beautiful and antiquated! The pool is lovely too! The staff go above and beyond to make sure everything is to your liking, and the bed was very comfortable! Everything you could need is within walking distance of hotel caribe. The food options are endless as well! The only thing I wish was different, is that they had hot water available for showering. Otherwise if we come back to Merida, we will surely book them again!

Property is quaint but a bit outdated. Reception lacking customer service skills. Shift supervisor very rude, no people skills. Pool area lacking some shade and can use some additional lawn chairs. Woke up on our first night to no water running, had to go to the local store and buy water bottles to use the bathroom while water was restored at 3pm. Was given a free complimentary breakfast for the inconvenience. Food was good. Location is great, centrally located next to Starbucks and Ice Cream Parlor. The hotel restaurant is only open for breakfast. They do not have mini fridge in rooms but do let you check out beach towels for the day.
