Staff and Gym were pretty above the standard pity the hotel is a little obsolete, it would need a fresh up to become a real 5 stars hotel. Restaurants are good but not above average and the noise from the main Street makes it hard to sleep well which it can be easily fixable with better windows sound proof. Location is amazing and Spa even if the facility is old it’s still very good.

The water in the pool (which is indoors) at the property was somewhat cloudy, and I wondered about the hygiene standards. The spa with sauna and steam and whirlpools is amazing, but an additional $USD50/day so adds up. We had breakfast included and the buffet was really good everyday. Staff were very professional and accommodating. Room service hamburger was one of the best meals I had in Mexico City!

Marquis hotel and spa is a hidden gem in Reforma, Mexico City. It's artistically beautiful, has a wonderful staff,3 great restaurants, large sized rooms and is walking distance from iconic places like Anthropology museum, Angel's square and Chapultepec castle. Their spa gave us the best massage we have ever had! Would highly recommend!

Friendly and luxurious hotel. We bought breakfast option, it was definitely worth it. They surprised us with desert at check in and toy for my kid. Pool hours for kids are 12-4pm. Water in pool was a little cold for me, kids obviously didn't care. There’s tainer in the morning in the gym. 24 hour room service is convenient. Everyone is very friendly.

Overall, the property was lovely, the room was very well maintained, staff was wonderful. Our only disappointment in the property was the fact that it only had a fairly small indoor pool. Would have loved some outdoor space to enjoy the beautiful weather.

I’ve stayed here many times and this time will be the last time. They now charge 45 dollars day if u want to use the hot tub!!! Also a race was outside and loud speakers at 5 am so u can’t sleep. Next time I will be at st Regis or Marriot

Great cleaning crew place sparkled every time we came into our room. First night we had a floor rubber mat for the shower but not for the rest of the 6 nights and it can be slippery if not careful. The main restaurant staff were very kind and informative, food was excellent. There were times when you can tell they were understaffed. One suggestion, a water kettle would be really helpful since one does have to pay for coffee. You get the pod of coffee then you have to get hot water from the restaurant or room service does not make sense. Overall, this place is great.

For about $100 more, I'd rather stay somewhere else. The rooms aren't very nice. There was a leak right above the toilet. Every time I sat down, a drop of water fell on my head. The air conditioning didn't cool at first, and we had to call a technician. They should verify that everything is working before handing over the room. Having a dirty technician with a ladder in the room is time-consuming and inconvenient. The shower was awful; it looked dirty and didn't work properly. This hotel is not in very good condition. You're better off spending $50-$100 more and staying somewhere else.

Great location. But not good if you are planning to sleep. Comfortable beds and linens. Bathrooms with separate shower and large bathtub were appreciated. Largest gym I’ve seen outside of a resort hotel. Gym needs maintenance with a leaky roof. The absolute worst part of my stay was that I was staying in room 204 directly above the terrace restaurant. The terrace plays loud music starting on Thursday night and can be heard until 1 am!

the newly renovated rooms (top two floors, PH and 10th) are really nice with hardwood floors, but the lower floor rooms are tired and dated, with dusty carpeting throughout. We spent four nights in an older room before moving to spend the last three nights in a renovated room. we should have moved sooner.

Staff was excellent, however room had no hot water, nespresso maker, but no coffee pods. Called and was told so.eone woukd bring them. No one came. Puctures on expedia show balcony with hottub. There is no balconly with this room. Mini bar is in bedroom not kitchen/living area. You have to go up set of stairs to get into the 2 floor room, and it is the only way in and out, so no exscape in case of fire.

The hotel went out of the way to make our stay comfortable including providing extra bedding but there were also issues with the room. The heating did not work for the first 1.5 days and we were freezing till it was addressed.

Hubo un problema, nos dieron una habitación que no era la habíamos reservado, además cuando hicimos la observación no se cansaban en decir que nos habían hecho un up grade y que la habitación que nos habían dado era CLARAMENTE una de menor categoría, fue una pena porque literalmente tuvimos que dormir en una habitación súper pequeña! Con apenas espacio para las maletas. La actitud de los de recepción todos súper pesados, con poco tacto y conocimiento de atención al cliente. Sin embargo la atención de todo el demás personal, botones, limpieza fue muy atento y servil. Definitivamente no me quedaré nuevamente en ese hotel.

Many issues with room that management did not take care of and when these were discussed with the manager he showed no concern. The problem seems systemic as we had to change rooms due to no hot water and a loud noise coming from the exhaust system in the first room. The second room also had issues including no soap in the room and a window that could not be closed. Management was less than responsive, blaming support staff instead of taking responsibility/accountability. My girl friend who lives in Mexico City tried to explain the situation to the manager but he still didn’t care. She was embarrassed by the service and insisted that this is not the norm in Mexico City. That should tell you everything you need to know. Do not stay here. I have gotten better service from cheap motels in the US.

We spent 4 glorious days in Mexico City and four fabulous nights at the Marquis Reforma. Many thanks to the senior concierge, Jose, for guiding us and helping to shape our plans throughout; Samuel for his smile, good nature and great directions. The hotel staff are to a person so gracious and accommodating, and the facilities/amenities are executive level. Upon our next visit to this awesome ciudad, the Marquis Reforma is where we’ll begin again.

Hotel itself is a gorgeous, the room amazing, however the staff can be very rude and condescending, I was accused of stealing a Hangar from the closet on the day of check out in front of other people it was the most humiliating thing that has happened to me at a hotel.

Great location and great staff. Our (deluxe) king bed room is clean and looks good. There was only one minor negative in the dated bathroom though. It's clean but it's dated. Free breakfasts were served daily at 7 and the food was limited in variety but ok. We loved their delicious croissants. In summary, it was a great 6-night stay and we'll come back to stay over here on our next trip to Mexico City for sure.

The service at the hotel is fantastic, and the spa is small but very nice (and again with excellent service). The bed was probably the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in! Only downsides were the shower (low water pressure) and the breakfast (I ordered eggs and didn’t eat it because the quality was so mediocre)

This was my 1st experience visiting Mexico City, I do not speak Spanish but I was able to communicate okay with staff. The room was very spacious, clean and well stocked with water and towels. Hotel staff was kind of lukewarm, not mean but not friendly. I was traveling alone, and I am a melanated woman so I think that was a problem for a few members of the waitstaff. The restaurant in the hotel, Los Canarios, gave me a very unpleasant experience. My entree was not tha great, I didn’t complain at all. The waiters, who were watching me like a hawk, I guess decided to let the maître d’ or manager know. He comes over doesn’t introduce himself or ask me how I’m doing and just says “Is there a Problem”?! It was very rude, dismissive, and I didn’t appreciate it. The restaurant that serves breakfast in the hotel also had waitstaff that were dismissive, but very helpful and distant but laughing and speaking freely with other patrons. Again, I don’t speak Spanish but I also visited the Michelin star restaurant Em and had a wonderful time experience. Overall, the hotel is beautiful, construction was ongoing next to the hotel so very little quiet time. Traffic is horrendous but it’s to be expected. I would stay at this hotel again but definitely not alone and possible with another Spanish speaking person to see if my experience would change. FYI there were a lot od helpful and kind people on this trip, sadly the majority of them I encountered did not work at this hotel.
