This was a good, comfortable and convenient hotel. A lot of stairs though, so if you are in a wheelchair or have mobility issues it’s probably not the hotel for you. No elevator, but comfortable, quiet and clean rooms. The staff were lovely as well.

We had 2 rooms, a deluxe king and a family room. Both were excellent. Beautiful views from the balcony of the king room. The pool looked very inviting. Sadly we didnt have long enough to use it. Had a meal in the restaurant downstairs which was excellent. Highly recommended

Very friendly staff, clean room and bathroom, clean facilities….BUT The carpark (the one behind where you are supposed to park) is PITCH BLACK. You can hardly see the palm of your hands. This is a massive safety issue. The air conditioner in the room had to be operated at max fan and lowest temp just to produce something, had some musky smell in the air coming out of it, and was whirring and whining all the time, made it difficult to fall asleep. The bathroom is spacious, clean and well equipped and water pressure is surprisingly very strong I had to lower it (most hotels have average if not weak water pressures, so that was good), there were some cracked tiles in the bathroom, and the ventilation fan didn’t work with no switch to turn it on (and not connected to the bathroom light), so doing your “business” in the bathroom meant having a smelly room for a while. And, who puts a bible in hotel rooms anymore? This is not 1965. Good budget hotel for a short stay but definitely would not go back, and I have stayed in other Mercure branches in Australia (which made me go ahead with this booking) but the difference is chalk and cheese honestly, despite the rates being very close/similar.

Friendly and efficient staff.Clean & comfortablecroom. Delicious meals in the onsite restaurant. Top notch in this regard. Lovely pool, however, it's in need of attention- tiles missing, looked unloved. Rubbish in bushes. Bin overflowing.

Cockroach in the room. Pictures don’t reflect the condition of the room very old facilities and bathroom found long hairs on the floor carpet was old and appeared stained and dirty. Shower in the bathtub was slippery my daughter slipped over not easy access for kids or older people. Got room service and the prawns and squid were not cooked properly and the prawns tasted off the staff did give me a refund on it though as it was inedible. For the price they charge I expected better quality/newer room but was more like cheaper roadside motel unfortunately.

The staff were fantastic and the food was lovely. The water in the shower took 5 minutes to warm up and there was mould in the bathroom. The walls were paper thin and you could hear your neighbours. My neighbours played loud music until 1am and because the front desk was closed at 9pm I couldn’t call a noise complaint.

I was a little apprehensive about our stay given some of the reviews I had read but honestly this hotel was really lovely. Our room was clean, tidy and spacious. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was spotless. My kids swam in the pool and we enjoyed dinner and breakfast in the restaurant, the food was delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel smelt like clean, fresh laundry. No issues with anything at all, recommend for families. Thank you for a thoroughly enjoyable overnight stay.

Stayed 3 nights as had a funeral to attend in Belmont. Was a great location and easy to find. The room was perfectly adequate, and clean and comfortable, however getting close to needing some refurbishment. Staff were very friendly, and the coffee was great. As a solo traveler was also very safe, virtually parked outside your door. Only negative was you could hear the TV's in the adjoining rooms, must have thin walls.

The entrance looks glamorous and service was great how ever the rooms were smaller than the photos. Also didn’t realise there was no view from the room only a car park. We didn’t like the door leading out to car park as it felt unsafe - couldn’t open window due to car park noise and smokers the air con appeared to be faulty -

We were booked in to stay in a family room, The first thing we noticed, was the glass dining table was filthy, not wiped down at all. The beds had been made and had fresh folded towels on them, but what we found next was absolutely disgusting. We turned the pillows over to find make-up smeared on them and other stains. The quilt covers were also dirty, and pulling back the covers, we discovered dirty sheets. We then headed back to reception to get the manager and show him the room. He apologised profusely and then offered us a different room, which seemed to be clean. We headed out for the evening, and arrived back at the hotel around 9pm. Being winter, we turned the air conditioning on, only to find it was not working. We called the supervisor to the room. He could not get it working, so offered to try and find us another room ( which there weren't many because of a sports event in the area) or a refund so that we could find a different hotel. It was almost 10pm at that stage and we had 2 young children with us, so we decided to stay and change to a third room. Once we gathered our things and located the room, we found the the swipe key would not open the door. The supervisor also could not open the door. We were left in the hallway for around half an hour while he made phone calls to resolve the issue. Eventually we got into the room which seemed OK. The next morning we found the balcony filthy, shower head dusty and outside was almost invisible due to filthy glass.
