Really nice choice, depending on the room you choose. Some rooms are right on the dining courtyard and you will hear everything from inside as the building is stone with no insulation. That said, you will not hear any street noise. Pool was a huge selling point.

It is on a quiet street. The swimming pool is great after being out in the hot sun. The staff was really wonderful— very helpful and always friendly. All very clean. Doors could be wide open and there were no bugs. The one somewhat annoying thing was Ave Maria blasting from a nearby church at midnight every night, and other music at 6 am.

I really liked this place. Perfect location, friendly staff, beautiful property and room. I wish the balcony wasn't sealed off, but that is a minor issue. Be warned there's no elevator.

Es una propiedad muy linda. El area de alberca muy agusto y el bar muy buena atencion. El desayuno esta muy bueno pero son muy lentos y las chicas no tan amables. No hay elevador lo cual lo hace incomodo con maletas. Creo que el costo esta elevado para los servicios del hotel.

Hotel didn’t try to make the stay welcoming. The pool was covered till 10am or later, so no early swimming. Bar not open most hours or days. Room stunk a bit, because of sewer gas, they had covers over drain to help, but it didn’t help. Location was great and place was pretty, but wouldn’t stay here again.

The room was clean, but small and very dark. The water pressure in the shower was non-existent and the drain was clogged-the floor would fill up to your ankles while you tried to shower. Positives: Staff were friendly, Breakfast was incredible, Pool was nice. Room was quiet

We loved the location and style of the property. Everything clean and well maintained. The pool and hospitality areas comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms on the second floor were comfortable and well equipped and clean. There is comfortable outside of room areas to enjoy. The only negative comment is that…one couple of our group was at first in a main floor room that was noisy and very compact. It took a few days for the hotel to accommodate a room change….our reservations forJunior suites for our Feb stay were made in August 2024 .

The rooms had a cockroach infestation (coming from the drains) and smelled like sewage. The first 2 days we didnt have any running water. The evening front desk people didnt speak a word of English. I would not recommend this hotel!

Beautiful building but… Expensive for what you get. Noisy in some rooms. Shower didnt drain. Pool area needs better chais and some chair cushions were dirty. Not accurate info about airport shuttle. Staff was friendly.

We were very comfortable in a well appointed standard room with king bed, good bathroom with rain shower, coffee maker, good temperature control, and quiet. While the room was equipped with good lighting, the natural daylight was dark. Just go out the door to the lovely pool to spend time. The hotel is well located to zocalo and is within 6 block walk of everything interesting in Oaxaca. The staff takes special interest in helping guests - we were unable to get a table at Casa Oaxaca, but the hotel called them and got us a table. Highly recommend Hotel De La Parra.

I loved the master suite. Spacious and sunny thanks to the windows facing the street. These windows doesn't open, but it helps keep the room quiet. Also the room has bath tub and shower with hot water enough. Breakfast doesn't included but you can find so many option around. It would be perfect if the had parking space. We could keep the car space nearby though.

Die Zimmer sind extrem hellhörig und viel zu teuer, auf gar keinen Fall 300€ pro Nacht wert. Ein Teil des Personals (auch an der Rezeption) kann nur Spanisch. Die Lage ist super zentral, die Poolarea cool und nett gemacht, es ist sauber und der Kellner am Pool sehr nett. Das Frühstück is lecker sollte aber bei dem Preis eigentlich inkludiert sein. Die Möbel sind alt, die Fenster schließen nicht, die Kühlschränke laut und die Zimmer 101-104 sind eher substandard (104 hat kein Fenster) und direkt am Frühstücksbereich, also der Schlaf endet hier um ca 7:00 morgens. Alles in allem gibts es für diesen Preis deutlich bessere Optionen in Oaxaca.

We had not the best experience in the Boutique de la parra. We wrote an Email in advance that we come with a baby and we wish for a quiet room but the opposite happend. They gave us a room close to the street and the super noisy breakfast area. One of our rooms (we had 4) did not even have a window. The rooms 101-104 are super noisy and basically super poor standard (windows don‘t close, dark, loud fridge…) and overpriced (104 no window). When we arrived in the evening there was a lady at the reception, who could not speak a single word english so we could not solve our problem. In general the rooms are not sound proofed at all so you hear everything. The central location is great, the staff basically friendly (the waiter at the poolbar is super nice), the poolarea super cute and it is clean. The breakfast tastes nice but we had to pay it, which should be included at a price of 300€ per night. All at all poor service in advance from administration side, super noisy and way too expensive!

Property is nice and I love what they stand for. However, I had to check out of this hotel and book a new one because the beds were so uncomfortable. I couldn’t sleep all night. Beds were hard as rocks.

The location is found within the local downtown area. Extremely busy. The rooms are very dated, and the bed is extremely uncomfortable (HARD). Both my husband and I woke up with backaches (we are in our early 40s, and this has never happened before anywhere with us). The air conditioner did not work. When showering the room got full of humidity with minimal opportunity to correct with window and main entrance to the room. Far better hotels in the area that charge the same rate. Very overpriced for the calibar of the hotel.

Everything about this property is quite nice except room 104 which has no window or natural light and feels like a cell. The staff is gracious and giving. The pool is very fine and the breakfasts are good. It’s just room 104 which was claustrophobic but rooms 108 and 109 are excellent

Very quiet and serene atmosphere in the very centre of the old city. The staff are impeccably helpful and courteous. We were in a spacious and comfortable room, but I am aware that some of the rooms, though spacious, have no significant windows and could potentially feel claustrophobic. Not ours, fortunately which was perfect.

We can't say enough good things about our stay at Hotel de la Parra. The staff, which is small so you get to know them throughout your stay, was very attentive and always ready to help. Our room was spacious and cleaned every day while we were out and about. I don't think the pictures do justice to this lovely spot. If you want to be near the Zocalo, it's a great pick.

They gave us a room close to the street and the super noisy breakfast area. One of our rooms (we had 4) did not even have a window. The rooms 101-104 are super noisy and basically super poor standard (windows don‘t close, dark, loud fridge…) and overpriced (104 no window). When we arrived in the evening there was a lady at the reception, who could not speak a single word english so we could not solve our problem. In general the rooms are not sound proofed at all so you hear everything. The central location is great, the staff basically friendly (the waiter at the poolbar is super nice), the poolarea super cute and it is clean. The breakfast tastes nice but we had to pay it, which should be included at a price of 300€ per night. All at all poor service in advance from administration side, super noisy and way too expensive!

We were quoted one price upon reservation and when we reached the airport we were given another price (much higher). The taxi driver called the hotel and the front office lady told us the price quoted to us was a mistake by the other worker. Not professional.

The rooms had a cockroach infestation (coming from the drains) and smelled like sewage. The first 2 days we didnt have any running water. The evening front desk people didnt speak a word of English. I would not recommend this hotel!

A really well-located hotel in Oaxaca's centre. It's a short walk to loads of brilliant bars and restaurants and felt very safe. I'd recommend exploring a little further out of the centre too. Though there was a bit of noise from the city the hotel was really calm, with a relaxing pool area. The bed was comfy and the room was cleaned really well every day, The staff were very friendly and attentive. Great stay.

As first-time visitors to Oaxaca, we loved the central location of Hotel de la Parra and the easy walking distance to the main plaza and sights. The staff was warm and friendly, helping us with airport transportation and the like. Our bed was super comfy! The hotel is in a beautifully restored building in the historic core. Highly recommend.

It was my first time in Oaxaca and choose this hotel because of the location and previous reviews. The property is beautiful and the rooms are very well maintained. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. Doña Flor in the kitchen made us delicious breakfast to order each day. Edna and Veronica in the front desk were the best. Hotel de la Parra was excellent in many ways. It was off season so we enjoyed quietness and the service. Swimming in the pool was tranquil in the hustle of busy city center. Ever staff was cordial and responsive. Our room was air conditioned so we were able to relax and enjoy the stay any time of the day. We enjoyed excellent breakfast offered at the courtyard. All in all, we would reuse the hotel next time we visit again.

A nice stay here, however a few things…at this price they REALLY need to upgrade the crappy towels. Also they really GOUGE you with taxi ride prices to and from Airport. Don’t do it! Just get your own taxi which costs a third of what the hotel charges you. Lastly, breakfast was decent, but staff very absent minded! Everyday I had to ask for cream for my tea several times and toast as well. Otherwise a nice stay, centrally located

I’ve been at Hotel de la Parra multiple times. I’d come back again! Location is fantastic! The pool area is so relaxing even when in the middle of the city. Beds are super comfy. They welcome you with some fresh fruit too! And the staff! Wooow! I hope they are getting well paid because they bring their heart and care to work everyday! Doña Rosa, Don Alfonso and everyone else are always making sure you’re enjoying your stay. They are the ones that make it all worthwhile. Highly recommended!
