Clean in all areas. Great staff at the reception who helped with all of our queries. We ate dinner at the on site restaurant and the food was very good with great staff. We had a suite and it was very large with a full kitchen. Beds were very comfy. Love the area also that was walkable and close to many sites and areas for shopping.

Great location on a quiet street but with easy access to both Centretown and Byward Market (via Rideau Centre). Building is older but the units are nicely renovated and very spacious. Has a full kitchen if one wanted to cook. Onsite parking is limited but there is easy access to parking at Ottawa City Hall (only a few minutes walk away) where parking is only $4 a day on weekends.

It was a very comfortable stay. Having a dining room on site was very convenient. We didn’t like that the gym was isolated in the basement, closeted away. We would stay at the Embassy Suites again.

Clean and renovated on the inside. Staff was very welcoming and polite. Parking across the street at the city hall was only $4 the weekend that we travelled. Best bang for your buck in that area in my opinion.

There was no parking available at the hotel. VERY INCONVENIENT. The girl at the front desk is like a robot. She offered other places to park but the price was astronomical! $36 for overnight parking and I had to walk 5 minutes! There were open spots to park at the hotel but the reception girl said they were for other guests. I called ahead to ensure there was parking available and was reassured that I would have a spot but it wasn't happening upon arriving.

The entrance to the underground parking is difficult to navigate for vehicles with normal or low ground clearance due to a sharply angled slope. I attempted to avoid the steep incline by entering from another side, but unfortunately, my car's rim was scratched in the process.

Hotel was very hot. The heating is analog and I had to turn it down to 60F for my room to be a decent temperature. Noise from other rooms came through the heating vents and there was noisy construction during the day from the floor above I wasn’t warned about. The glassware and dishes in the kitchen cupboards were unclean. The washroom smelled slightly of sewer. The weight machine in the gym was broken and there were no wipes to sanitize the equipment.

Room wasn't clean, toilet was just wiped, not actually cleaned, lots of stains on the bowl. Shower water debit was so low that it was more dripping than flowing. Sink faucet is quite dangerous as it's burning hot even past the middle point into cold. Stains on the carpet. Staff was very nice and professional.

Everything was OK except the rug was very dirty and the balcony couldn’t be used because of the dirt not sure when it was Everlast cleaned. Need a hanger in the bathroom. Having said all that the staff was first rate Samantha or Sam on the front desk, excellent, as was the bartender.

Room was nice and large. Kitchen area was convenient, but Carpet needs to go. Stained and dirty. Mattress in room was like sleeping on bricks. Hard as a rock. Shower head was horrible. No pressure. Water barely came out. There was no garbage can or recycling bin in room.

It was a nice stay. My only complaint would be that if wasn't cleaned very well before our stay. food on the carpet and crumbs on two of the chairs in the sitting room. Makes you wonder what else wasn't cleaned properly. Staff were very nice

Excellent location right downtown - 5 min walk to Confederation park and the canal, another 5-10 min to the market. Clean and safe hotel, very quiet, beautiful up to date room, underground garage for only $20 per night. Very friendly staff. Super fair price. Will definitely stay again.

Ottawa Embassy hotel is deceiving. Not the modern looking hotel from the outside, looking dated, but we had a huge king size suite with a kitchen. The space was nice and large and clean. Bathroom on the small side but served its purpose and the shower was a nice size. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Great location as it is pet friendly we were able to walk our dog easily. The staff are great and extremely friendly - and are dog people too!

The location of the hotel is excellent if you want to be close enough to the main activities, but also want somewhere a little quieter. Due to location of the room within the hotel, there was very little natural light, and only one tiny window in the whole suite was able to be opened. The air con didn’t work, so the room was uncomfortably hot- the hotel are obviously already aware of this as there was a fan in the room.

The room was spacious and included a nice surprise: a fully equipped kitchenette with a clean refrigerator, cafe machine, four-burner stove, pots, bowls, plates, and cutlery. Great for families or longer stays. However, the air conditioning unit hangs in the middle of the room and makes a terrible, loud rattling noise every time it runs—impossible to ignore and disruptive to sleep. Most disappointing was the irresponsible and misleading front desk service. We prepaid through Expedia. At check-in, the receptionist offered parking and quoted “$28 plus tax.” I immediately clarified: “So $28 plus tax is for parking for our full two-night stay?” She clearly answered “YES.” We were later charged $63.26—$28 + tax per night. When I complained, Front Desk Manager Francisco Rodiles dismissed it entirely, saying the per-day rate was listed on Expedia. While that may be true, it does not justify staff verbally confirming a total price that was completely wrong. This caused wasted time, stress, and frustration. The manager refused any refund, apology, or accountability—only deflection. Bottom line: Good room size and kitchen setup, but ruined by noisy AC and shockingly poor front desk integrity. Not the reliability or transparency I expect from a downtown Ottawa hotel.

The POS terminal was not working with 4 or our team mates cards it kept declining wr called thr bank and we had more than enough fund on the card for approval. The guy made us feel so embarrassed and told me i should go to another hotel even though our rooms were already paied for. He also told another team mates parents that of they can't afford to pay they should not boox a hotel. We had 7 rooms booked and our team goes to different cities every other week and never experienced anything luje this before. All they keep saying is our policy. Customer service suck. I will post my reviews on social media and so will the organization of our basketball team.

Checked in around 11 PM, initially the room alotted to us had a broken bathroom door. After checking with reception, desk staff mentioned he can't do anything about it. After several requests he said to change the room and mentioned that they only have 1 more room, he doesn't know about the condition of the room and to check it yourself. He was extremely rude and didn't helped in anything with the room switching and even told me to leave the hotel if you have any problem. This whole discussion and switch took us 2 hours i.e. 1 AM at night. Moreover they didn't had any parking available (actually they never have, verified it next day also.) They gave some nearby options had to search the area in the middle of the night. Room was big, with a balcony, has kitchen, stove and even utensils. Next day after coming back from the visit, bith the key cards stopped working. It took me 30 mins at the reception (long queue with only 1 working desk) with family & kid waiting outside d room. They only have 2 elevators (no service elevator) & 1 of then was not working during our visit. 1 elevator for 11 floors made the whole hotel chaotic. During checkout we had to wait almost an hour for the elevator, all the guests were forced to even go up the floor with the elevator to get a place. On top of this the hotel staff in between occupied the whole elevator just to carry towels. Even after several complaints and requests the hotel manager didn't called me back or apologized in anyway.

The staff were all very friendly, the lobby and room were immaculate and the bed so comfortable. The suite had ample room and it was a short walk to coffee shops, restaurants and key sights like parliament. I really enjoyed my stay and hope to come again soon!

Nice apartment building converted into a hotel, right in the middle of everything, by the rideau canal. It allows you to walk to everything within 15 minutes: parliament buildings, the byward market, restaurants/bars and shopping. The hotel was nice and clean and the staff were cordial and helpful.
