The garden and pool were very nice and the location is not bad, but a difficult street to drive around to their parking. We had to first go inside the hotel and get them to open the gates in back and drive around - any time we came or went. The rooms are a good size, but it really lacked amenities. A small bar fridge and coffee maker would have greatly enhanced our stay for sure, and even a microwave would have been wonderful. I called ahead of time and was told that we could check in between 2:00 & 2:30. When we arrived, they said the room would not be ready for another hour. We were meeting family after we checked in, so had to delay our plans another 1 1/2 hours. Since there was no fridge in the room, I had also asked about the availability of ice and water before hand on the phone. I was told there was an ice machine and I could get ice for our cooler that we brought, and also 2 bottles of water would be provided. The bottles of water were little 1/2 bottles. and although it was a nice gesture and the water is drinkable, we ended up buying a very large bottle of water for our stay. After we arrived, I was told I could get ice in the restaurant. There was no container in the room, so I asked for a bag at the restaurant. They kind of gave me a bad time, and said if I wanted ice, I should go buy it at OXXO convenience store, several blocks away. When I said I was told I could get ice here, they did give some ice in a bag that leaked water all the way to our room.

Rooms and property are a little dated. Wi-if does not work in rooms. Was fine for two nights but would not want to stay longer. Limited loungers around pool and appears you can leave a towel early in the AM and not be there all day to claim a chair. The music playing out of the bar and around property is awful. The area is decent and there are lots of fun restaurants in the marina. Close to PVR airport

Wifi not being available in the rooms is inconvenient. Sound really travels in the hallways, so any door being shut or people talking outside the room you can hear, though there wasn't really any of that past about 10. Rooms were nice with 2 queen beds (compared to most places that have two double beds) and A/C worked well. Staff was friendly and check in acceptable. It was a bit weird/annoying that they wanted everyone in the parties ID. The pool towel area closes at 7 (or randomly earlier) but the pool is open until 9, which also isn't very convenient. Overall the place is "fine".

Very noisy at all times. Try replacing cart wheels with rubber and never take carts thru guest areas! Try felt on bottom of chairs in rooms. Very difficult to sleep or relax in rooms and by pool. Bathroom was dirty and we had no water several times. I will not stay there again.

I’ll start with the good- The grounds outside were nice and it is right in the marina. And that’s the end of the positives. Upon check in, they hand you a single key, a “mandatory wristband you have to wear throughout your stay (like the type you get at a concert) and a list of rules and “punishments.” Things like if you lose the card you trade for a pool towel there is an $30 USD fee, if you remove your wristband there is a fee, you can only have guests at certain times, and on and on. We immediately found a giant dead roach in the bathroom, there was food from a previous guest under the bed, the pillows smelled like mildew, the sheets were ill fitting, and on and on. If we weren’t just staying for one night before our flight we would not have accepted the room. A truly disappointing experience.

Hotel location is good at the Marina and close to airport for our next day departure. Hotel ground is well kept. We had a 4th floor family room without fridge and coffee maker, the rain shower head was leaking with water dripping all night. During our stay there was a torrential downpour when rain water came through bottom of patio door. Staffs were accommodating. Could also use a better pillow

Breakfast was fresh, but meat was greasy The bathroom was small. We were surprised that upon entering the room we immediately had to climb a flight of stairs. We had a good view of the marina. We came for a wedding and the wedding website said the hotel is close to Puerto Mágico. It's a 20 minute walk at least. At night, I could hear music and noise from other guests while trying to sleep.

The staff was top notch! Fernando, Erwin, Caesar, Ruby, Jonathan made our stay as good as it was! The rooms are dated, but clean, as is the hotel. Unfortunately, the food had some to be desired. Small selection of food and the same items every day pretty much. They frequently ran out of items: pancake syrup, most days there was no fruit… and the ‘all inclusive alcohol’… ran out of vodka, rum, Irish cream, lager draft… had no red OR white wine for the ‘Italian’ theme night. We had the all inclusive package and found that we ate outside of the resort at least half of the time. Thankfully, the service was amazing and we still had a great vacation. The location is great! Right on the marina and walkable to most anything you would need. The pool was kept clean even with excessive use! There are also no fridges in the rooms. We would go back for the service, pool and location, however, we would likely not pay for the all inclusive package.

I have a frequent guest of the hotel for more than 15 years. My plane was delayed and I requested a change of reservation to the next night. The Hotel refused and did not refund my payment for the unspent night. No customer loyalty here. Don’t stay at the Flamingo Marina Vallarta.

Night staff was rude, i did my check in earlier in the day but the room was not ready but they told me everything was ready, all the paperwork signed and photocopies of my ID made. I arrived at night to get my key and waited almost hr and the staff claimed my reservation was not there at all. The way the staff treated us was the worst experience i have ever had. After they magically found my paperwork but it was not signed and not filled out at all. I was totally disappointed and disatisfied.

I have never been treated this poorly in a hotel before. First of all, I think their cancellation policy is abusive (see conditions yourself). I showed up with my partner and they immediately told me that my reservation was for just one person and I had to pay extra for them. I tried to explain that I made a reservation for one room, not one person, but they were completely unreasonable and made us feel totally uncomfortable and unwanted. After that I was ready to leave, my partner in tears. That is not the kind of behavior you expect to find in a hotel after a long journey. I asked if I could get a refund and their answer was to call Hotels.com, which I did. These people do not seem to care much about their guests or their level of comfort, it’s like they don’t care if you go back at all. All they seem to be worried about is their immediate money. And for that reason I am posting this review and telling all my friends to avoid this place at all cost.

Great location in the marina area of Puerto Vallarta, 5 mins from airport and close to centro. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Hotel has lovely garden, marina views and a great pool area. Staff is super friendly and accomodating. Rooms are in good condition overall. Breakfast buffet was delicious. Highly recommend!

Flamingo Vallarta Marina is a good affordable place to stay. The staff is super friendly and the area is great for walking around the marina with lots of dining and shopping places close by. It's also very close to the airport! The rooms are a bit dated and large and clean. Beautiful lobby and garden leading to the pool and marina. I did not have a chance to try the restaurant but it looked good as well. I will be back for sure!

The property was beautiful and well kept. My room was cleaned daily and done well. Breakfast and lunch were wonderful, however dinner was terrible, I ended going out almost every evening. Also the service was horrible. I was being charged for beverages when I paid for all inclusive.The only server that actually served me was Oscar and he was wonderful! I typically tip for everything however this is my first vacation that I didnt.

Breakfast, lunch & dinner food was cold. Ran out of specific food early in the process of opening the restaurant. Bar didn’t have specific drinks!! Such an OLD hotel, only 1 restaurant for so many guests at times it was crowded! Old towels, tiny soap to shower with No Body wash, tiny containers of shampoo & conditioner!! Wouldn’t recommend!!!

The food was fresh....but very little variety for all inclusive. They are a restaurant and have a seperate menu that you can purchase which really should be offered to all inclusive guests. The food tasted good...but every day the same options. The service was ok...not exceptional...made it challenge to leave good tips (we left tips despite the meals being buffet style serve yourself) but the concept of tipping has evolved it appears to be obligatory regardless of service and it was an ethical dilemma as Mexican servers do not make much at all....so I would say to non nationals...suck it up and tip....the grounds were lovely...well maintained. Our bathroom was big....the room was very nice size!

The room was decent but nowhere near what we expected. The door frame looked as if someone had previously tried to break in. The bathroom is in need of a major renovation. The floors are also in need of some heavy duty cleaning. Especially in the bathroom. The sound on our tv barely worked. We had to keep turning it on and off to try to get sound. We paid for all inclusive but it wasn’t worth it food wise. The food wasn’t great nor was it much of a selection. So I feel like I wasted money doing all inclusive. There is construction noise during the day however that didn’t bother us. I did like that it was other restaurants we could walk to to eat. Overall the stay wasn’t completely terrible but I would never stay here again.

Close to the airport. nice to walk around the melacon. But the food was not good. (we had the all inclusive package) Breakfast not to bad but no bacon or sausage. Last year when we stayed the food was fantastic. Something sure changed over the last year. the staff were nice. the grounds are very nice. the room was okay.
