The rooms and view were amazing! The elevator wait was nil. The food was great and the staff at all levels were awesome! We had a great stay. If you are looking for beach and ocean access, not your place. You will want to go outside of PVR. We are pool people.

This is really a hotel, not a resort. Food was 3/5. My wife is a vegetarian and had a VERY difficult time finding anything with protein (ended up buying protein bars despite having the all inclusive package). Location is close to town but not really walkable. The timeshare people were very annoying. Pool was nice but too warm. Gym is very nice.

Staff was very friendly and professional. The all inclusive package carries many activities, like wine testing class and dance lessons. If you order food near the pool, do not get the pizza or the hamburger. Order the buffalo hot wings, nachos, guacamole, or quesadillas. We’ll definitely be revisiting.

It’s a really nice place to stay. Some minor annoyances such as being able to hear the lift from our room and other doors closing but we enjoyed our stay. The pool and facilities are very good, staff very helpful / friendly.

There is no entertainment at night and the ocean is not swimable due to strong undertow and VERY large rocks. All service staff was great. The Malecon is near by and an easy walk. Their dining options are okay and was not able to try Gaviotas. Gaviotas is a a four star restaurant with a strict dress requirement which I did not know. I only packed dress/golf shorts considering it is a beach destination. I want to include that the all inclusive is not all inclusive. When you go to Punta Sal for example, there are extra charges on many food items and are limited to some options on the all inclusive. Overall, nice city and excellent culture. However, if you’re looking to take a dip in the ocean or have some entertainment at night at your resort, you may or may not want to consider a different destination. One last note and very important: the time share pitch people are furious and want your attention no matter what! I told them no multiple times and finally gave in thinking it would stop. It only take 90 minutes is there pitch with a few extras they give you. Long story short, it’s not 90 minutes and I walked out after 30 minutes of several different people asking the same question and lying to me.

I was recommended the Gaviotas Restaurant per one of the employees as a 2 Michelin Star and the food was not even fresh. Same with the rest of the outlets, food was not good. There was a cockrach in the room. The magnifier mirror was broken.

DO NOT STAY HERE. Loud, horrible music every night. Weddings Thursday - Sunday with horrible music. Kids running up and down the hallways. Boring rooms that smell of mildew. Our blackout curtains were riddled with MOLD. We requested they be changed out and they were, but the room still smelled musty. A/C is loud and woke us up every time it came on. Food is horrible - after one botched meal, we chose to go off property to dine. Beach is awful. Sand is gross -- pebbles and rocks. We had red flag 4 out of 6 days, so we went south to find better beaches. Lots of families here, screaming babies. Entire hotels needs a makeover!!

Our room was not clean when we arrived. The table in the room was never cleaned, and there was half empty soda bottles from the previous guest in the refrigerator. We called the front desk and informed the staff. They couldn't adequately speak English. The table was never cleaned the entire time we were there. The room next to ours left trays, plates and food in the hallway across from our rooms, and it was not picked up for what seemed like one and a half days.

The room that we had stayed in had multiple issues; the refrigerator door was broken, the shower handle faucet was broken, alongside the fact that we had construction that begun at 2 am right outside our hotel room. When we brought these issues up to the staff during check out, he seemed surprised and unphased by our unpleasant experience during the second night.

Lo único que no me gusto fue que los baños no cuentan con privacidad, la puerta es de vidrio opaco pero si se alcanza a ver del otro lado, está separado de la pared y se alcanza a ver también por los filos entre vidrio y pared y no tienen seguro la puerta si se empuja ya te pueden ver y todo se oye,no se puede bañar agusto y hacer Las necesidades fisiológicas agusto si vas con amigos o parientes. sería mejor cerrar bien con muro o tabla roca y poner puerta con seguro y así si se sentiría privado el baño y regadera.

The telephone in the room was not charged when I needed to call to have someone pick up the luggage. Also, I had to wiggle the door handle to get it to open. Otherwise the door will not catch whatever it is that makes it open and in the meantime you are standing in the heat. There’s no free WiFi. The beach view is obstructed by some cabanas but you can see it from the side where you exit to the beach. The grounds are covered with plants and palm trees it was beautiful.

The Sheraton was fantastic. The club rooms were awesome with one exception. The pillows felt lumpy like bags with wadded up socks. Otherwise, it was great.

Liked the proximity to downtown, while able to enjoy the beach. However, the rooms have thin walls. Very noisy neighbors and all sounds from their room and others in the hallway were heard very clearly and loudly in our room.

We booked a room with ocean view on a higher floor and realized later that this was the best decision we made. Although there wasn't a balcony or terrace outside, the room was very bright. We woke up to the million dollar view every day and that will be the perfect lasting "vocation" image in my head. Love the location too, about 10 minutes walk to the Malecon, $22 white taxi from the airport. Used the thick bar beneath the windows to hang our swimsuits, a convenient feature.

Service in the Front Desk is Terrible the Staff was really Unfriendly Looks like you had to Beg then to get a Service . Looks like they work just to get Pay. This has been a learning experience for this trip. I have booked through expedia quite a few times. This time I was NOT happy a customer. I booked 2 rooms family of 5. When we were checkinf in. Front desk receptionist said that i have to pay meal plan for my 10 year old. I asked receptionist why and his amswer was that she was not charged with meal plan only for the room. I told receptionist that when I booked through expedia i bougbt the all inclusive package. Receptionist told me that expedia dont charge kids 12 and under, so we have to charge you upfront for it. I was shocked when he said that. I asked receptionist that that my 10 year old should be included with the package. Receptionist said that is not true. I told receptionist that i have booked quite a few times all inclusive package with expedia and i never had to pay upfront for meal plan. Receptionist said its been like thst for last 3 years. I told receptionist theres nothting on expedia's website that i have to pay upfront at the resort for meal plan. Receptionist said you can talk to expedia about that. So i have to $472 upfront so my 10 year old can eat. Also i chatted in with custoemr service rep for expedia. Customer service rep said.he never heard anything like that. The rep callee the hotel and asked about the charge and he was put on hold. I was with customer service rep for almost an hour try to get some answers. After several emails and forth. Expedia said they cant help me. So much for their support.

The property itself was great. The staff polite. However this property also runs as a timeshare. When I booked through Expedia I was not expecting to be approached to participate in a time share presentation. When we first arrived they took our luggage and sat us at a table. They said it was to go over the property map but it was to tell us about the time share. This took about 2 hours of our time we were hungry and tired. We ended up giving into attending the presentation which was to be 90 minutes and it was way longer because every time we said no, they brought in another person who he thought was to end the meeting, but I was always trying to sell us something even cheaper. This took up our whole morning. I did not appreciate this. Also, the hotel is beachfront, but that beach is not a good beach to go swimming in. It’s very rocky. There’s no sand to lay out in. Again the hotel was nice but did not appreciate the whole timeshare thing and the person we had to talk to Leslie got a little upset when we said we were not interested in purchasing anything. They did give us a free breakfast and we’re asked to leave a tip and a massage in a show.

We paid for all inclusive. We had to pay to go to the SuperBowl watch party which we didnt have to last year. We also had to pay to get our room fridge filled which was never filled even after calling twice to have it filled. Luckily we werent charged for something we didnt get. Service this year was poor compared to last year.

Service was top notch, property was beautiful, food was excellent, and location was perfect. Pool closed at 8pm. They went out of their way to grant my wishes. Lucky for them I only asked for tacos. There weren’t any at the buffet. They made some just for me. They were perfect. This place is big so if you have trouble walking try to get a ground floor room that opens to the garden. My wife and I loved the place. I am already saving for our next visit. Next time, I want to bring the whole family.

I didn’t get an all inclusive, there’s a lot of restaurants 5-10 minutes away, taxi only charged 4-5 dollars each way. There are 100s of really good restaurants in the area, it’s in a prime location.

We have stayed at the Sheraton many times because of the great service, lovely grounds, lobby, beach, and location. Easy to walk to Malecón, grocery store, pharmacy and countless restaurants. Added bonus- beds are heavenly! So comfortable; this may be a recent update. The walk to the Malecon is short and safe, but you do walk past some unsightly “scenery”. Pool area is pristine and perfectly situated for whale watching, gorgeous sunsets. We’ll definitely return.

Since last there in 2021 the food service in the sit down restaurants have deteriorated. Also the number of items on the menu that are now extra has increased and thus fewer items on the sit down menu included with the “ all inclusive”. Is rather ironic. Staff very pleasant but the timeshare folks not necessary. Overall the food service has gone down a notch or two. Still a likeable place for the family but not as good as 3 years ago.

Very difficult to get reservation for dinner. Their main restaurant was mostly buffet with a limited menu. They did not provide information about the resort. Where things were located etc..

There were so many hidden costs. It was hard to get into eat anywhere except the buffet which was mediocre at best. The staff wasn’t very friendly & spoke minimal English so it was hard to even communicate…….

There was no nightly entertainment. A la cart restaurants were ok except many menu items not included in the AI. People reserved their pool chairs early in the morning by putting towels on them thus not many chairs available. Beach was rocky and not swimmable. Staff was nice.

I was very hesitant after booking and reading reviews that were closer to my trip date that weren’t very good. But our experience at this hotel was amazing! The staff was super friendly from the front desk, to the cleaning staff, to the servers and waitresses! After I got my hotel key we were directed to someone that would help us get to our room however they were more about offering services which took about 30 minutes. This was one of the only bad things about it. I suggest that once you get your key you run to the room and rest otherwise they will take your time. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. The shower however, doesn’t have a “border” to keep the water in so you have to make sure you don’t point the shower head towards the glass doors otherwise you will have water in the room. The food buffet was amazing! They had a variety of foods at different times of the day. My partner and I were very impressed with the hotel and how beautiful it looked. There is beach access which is nice. We also loved the pools! Especially around 6pm because you get to enjoy it more without worrying about the sun. We fell in love with this place. I didn’t experience anything negative other than the check in. We are definitely considering staying here again because we felt super comfortable. It definitely didn’t disappoint like I had read in other’s experiences.

Dining options are OK but the one restaurant is really two in one just alternating. A lot of the items are now “ extra” and not included on the “all inclusive” plan. Since last there 3 years ago would say the resort has gone down a notch. Staff is very friendly but even the wine choices are limited on the “all inclusive” plan.

HORRIBLE i paid for all inclusive I couldn't even get coffee to my room or water bottles for the coffee maker without an argument!! I took a cab to walmart to buy instant coffee.. I was told to walk down to the bar and get water bottles!! the food was NASTY my husband and I went out to eat lunch and dinner. I want a refund for the all inclusive portion i paid for. AND BREAKFAST BACON WAS HIDDEN WE HAD TO ASK AND THEY GAVE US 2 PIECES FOR BOTH OF US... WORST STAY EVER!!! AND WE TRAVEL ALL OVER MEXICO THIS WAS DEF BE THE LAST TIME I STAY AT THIS PLACE...
