There is never enough space to eat in the restaurants. Getting around the hotel is a problem with transportation on the golf carts, there are very few. Some of the employees, not all of them seem as if they do not want to help you or provide what you need. We paid a Premium Level package and it did not seem like a premium service. To start with, the drink we ordered was told they did not have it, we had to call the managers to help us since they did have it. I think that if I pay for a Level package it is to have first class service and not have any problems or ichus. I want to highlight an employee who did his best to ensure our stay and excellent treatment. Olimer Martinez was attentive and always with a good smile.

Great entertainment specially the daily activities: Roxana, Black Cloud and Sexy Body made our stay fun! Also the best personnel at the kids club, my 6 year old boy wanted to return every day. Thanks to all of them, our family vacation was amazing and entertaining

The property was very beautiful. Many lush, well kept gardens and water features, as well as great pool and beach access. The food was decent with many options to choose. The downside was our room was a bit dated (but clean.) Housekeeping did leave thinks out in the corridors which made it a bit cluttered. Our AC was not the coolest but the ceiling fan helped a lot when we were in the room. Overall, this property was a good value for the money.

On arrival check in took an hour, after 30 mins more waiting for a buggy we said we would walk to room to find it was literally opposite reception area, another 30 mins for luggage to arrive. Grounds were beautiful and facilities were in good condition. Lots of space and options for guests. Service was not always friendly or prompt. Property was large and while walkable it was a long, hot walk. They have trains and carts to help with transportation but at least half the time they do not stop at the designated stops even if they have plenty of room.

Towels were missing three days! So when you got out of the pool/sea, you couldn’t go to lunch options because you were wet… but they didn’t provide towels… service outside the dining were lacking, no real way to relax in the beach, you had to go make lines for a water… or soda… in the flip side: -good food (buffet), and tauro restaurant. Others were ok to bad - kids activities were well planned and executed - trains/carts back and forth from lobby to beach weren’t often/big enough, many times having to wait a lot or just walk… - too many sales going on all the time. You are approached too much to buy entertaining options (parasailing/snorkeling/etx) For the money paid, it was mediocre at best. -

The food was amazing!!! Best food ever. But they do not have pool service lime waitresses serving food or taking orders. Also the solash park has no umbrellas or shade areas at all and they close super early at 5

Spa prices are not what the online page said. The coupons Expedia said we would be getting were not true, they were different in how you can use them and also not the amount of 30$. We didn't get the wine bottle also even when we asked for it in the lobby. The jacuzzi didn't worked at first, but the repaired it next day. Food in buffet is ok, food in restaurants is very good, good alcohol drinks only in lobby bar. Service good, pools good, beach good. Very clean hotel. Low score only because of the Spa annoyance.

The property grounds are the only positive. Room had open sewer line releasing bad odor in the air and roaches coming in. Mentioned to front desk, and no one showed or cared Kids caught hands, foot, mouth disease. Assuming from the pool not being clean I ate a dessert that tasted like it was sitting in fish water. Dessert was a vanilla cake Bell boy never showed after being told he would be there in 5 mins. We carried our luggage and babies manually (no elevator) Staff was 50/50 nice vs attitude. (I always tip$)

We were really excited to visit since a family member visited 3 years ago and loved it but we unfortunately didn’t share the same experience. The property has a lot of foliage and a lot of still water around creating a Mosquito breeding ground. We were being eaten alive. Some areas had a strong garbage smell and overall the food wasn’t great. Our Room was nice and our Concierge Jhonny took great care of us. Shout out to the bartender Luciano and Ana, Grill cook Roberlito who treated us like family!

Rooms very destroyed and dirty, roaches walking around like they are home, air conditioning not cooling and getting broken, maids barely clean, you can notice that bathrooms are dirty from long before. You have to wait long lines to get into the restaurant, the menu is very similar everyday with minimal variety, minimal seefood given that you are at the beach. Coffee is from button machines/dispensers, not good at all. Very dissapointed in general. Personnel were kind but many had an attitude toward turists.

We loved everything about Melia caribe resort! Beautiful beach, very nice and clean rooms. Service is perfect! It is sparkly clean everywhere on the resort. Good buffet food and nice restaurants, very good variety of beverages, All stuff are very helpful and friendly. Definitely will come back!

Liked the lobby area, very well done and cute. The food at the restaurants was good overall. The beach is nice, very swimmable, soft sand. Bed was very comfortable. Nice gym and yoga area. Did not love: the rooms are dated and have hospital style rolling cots in the room as an exta bed. The room wifi went in and out a lot. Did not have a nice soaking tub. The air condition was super loud and would turn on and off several times an hour waking us every time. The exercise classes were really basic but if you have your own app you can use the space and get a decent workout.

Worth upgrading to The Level, the food and service at Riviera is a lot better and the pool isn’t as busy as the main one. If you’re lucky enough to be served by Santa then you will be well looked after she is the best - each morning and afternoon she knew exactly what we needed and had it ready for us. The hotel grounds are stunning, buggy service is great and the peacocks roaming the grounds are stunning. Rooms could do with an upgrade but they are spacious and do their job. Kids Club staff are lovely, they put on so much for the kids and have such good energy! They are brilliant

We went to Melia for second time and after 13 years the rooms were the same . The rooms need to upgrade, we had water in floor from AC for couple days . Also first floor smelled mold . Food needs more variety, the same food was for lunch and for the dinner and pretty much for all days that we stayed there the food was the same. Needs more transportations because we waiting for 30 minutes for train to come and pick us up. Positive thing was : Resort outside and pools are so beautiful and they had party every night at lobby and some nights at the beach. Anyway, beside those issues overall we had great time staying there.

Our experience fell well below the standard advertised for the price paid and represented very poor value for money. There were some positives: the children’s evening entertainment was very good, Merkado staff were generally friendly, and the golf cart drivers were helpful. Unfortunately these were outweighed by significant problems. The room was poorly prepared on arrival. The TV and phone did not work on day one; although the TV was replaced it malfunctioned for much of the stay. The shower head was detached, the toilet seat broken, and the room felt run down with poor finishing. We booked a king bed but received two doubles, and a pre-requested baby cot arrived late and was extremely old and unsuitable. Restaurant access was a constant frustration. We were repeatedly told our preferred restaurant was unavailable and directed to the buffet, yet availability suddenly appeared on our final night despite many empty tables, suggesting restricted capacity. Breakfast quality was very poor; at 6:40am we were refused service until 7:00am despite food already being laid out. Bazaar staff appeared disengaged and we witnessed tables cleaned using used tissues. A serious privacy breach occurred when staff attempted to enter our room seconds after knocking while we were asleep and not dressed, waking our baby. At 4:45pm, while facilities were still open, we were refused beach towels, preventing proper beach use. Checkout luggage assistance took over an hour Not value for money

The property grounds were stunning and the beach very nice. We joined the “level” which is imperative for better food and liked the buffet and a la carte there. Rooms are outdated and the property needs more light at night . Huge property but u will do a lot of walking because not enough transportation around the resort . The workers are nice . No nightlife and not much to do besides beach and pool.

The first day there was hell. We went to see the room we booked and it was just disgusting. It had a bad smell, tiles were cracked, old furniture, there was cracks in between tiles in the bathroom and the caulking job was just horrible. Overall the staff was friendly and helpful. Though they only have certain restaurants available unless you pay extra for VIP. Also the shower had 2 shower heads and only one worked. The bathroom also have two hand cloth but no wash cloths, and the refrigerator did not work so they filled my fridge with water which was room temperature

The property is very big so they have golf cart shuttle service. Lots of palm trees and wild life on property (fishes, turtles, ducks). Rooms are clean but a bit old. Caulking around shower was old. Water leaked out while showering so there was a puddle in the bathroom. Staff on property do not speak English, other than staff in the lobby, so be prepared to learn a few Spanish words.

The most horrible experience I’ve had at a resort in Punta Cana. Please do not waste your money. 80% of the staff were rude, Shuttle drivers ignored us when we waved at them to stop for a ride, the restaurant food was not good except breakfast at the buffet and Tauro. The rooms weren’t properly stocked most days so I would have to call for them. You cannot call from your room to make reservations but had to go to the lobby, which was not only inconvenient, but difficult since most shuttle drivers ignored us. Please do yourself a favor and just go to Paradisus. They have never disappointed.

We had an excellent stay at the Meliá Hotel. Even though the hotel was quite full and there was a long line at check-in, the staff was incredibly kind, diligent, and professional. We hadn’t booked any special services like concierge or VIP access, but we were treated with great courtesy and attention. The front desk team was especially helpful—they even created a WhatsApp group to stay in touch with us in case we needed anything during our stay, which was a very thoughtful and practical gesture. The hotel itself is large, clean, and beautifully maintained. While it is an older property, it has charm, and everything looked well-kept. We went 2nd week of June. I highly recommend that. Resort was only at 50% occupancy, so it was a very chill experience. Once you get the lay of the land, the resort is easy to navigate. Friendly staff, beautiful grounds. Tons of wildlife. Clean. Great food. Merkado buffet was our go to for breakfast and the riviera for lunch. The fried calamari at the Italian restaurant, chefs kiss! Bring cash, so you can tip the staff. A little goes a long way. I had a massage and pedicure at the spa. They did a wonderful job. Activities and entertainment were fun. We enjoyed the gym facilities. I would definitely stay here again.

The property itself was beautiful! All the staff were very friendly! Jaciel was amazing to help us get around by golf cart taxi although there are many others getting around! The ladies at the kids club were incredible with our 2 boys and always felt comfortable leaving them for a few hours at a time. Our dedicated concierge wasn’t as great, but after we organized dinner reservations we didn’t utilize his services and that was ok. What made it worth it was the exclusive “level” pool, restaurant and beach area. Not as crowded and better atmosphere with better quality food and drinks. The rooms are a little dated but we didn’t mind! Overall we had a wonderful holiday, stayed for 7 nights and would stay there again.

The service was not great. We paid for the Level service and got nothing out of it. We were assigned a butler, who didn’t follow through with simple request. We asked for additional towels and blankets for the room which we requested through the butler. After three times of asking, I had to call the front desk to get these items. We also had toilet issues (not flushing) which had to be service multiple times to the point they changed out the whole toilet in the room. Our butler also failed to respond to messages to make reservations at the select restaurants so almost every meal was at the standard buffet. Highly disappointed with the service. Food was ok not great. I would not choose this property again.

Terrible service. Terrible staff. Got ZERO of the VIP perks from Expedia. They would not honor any of the credits at all. Check in time was delayed 2 hours past the guaranteed room ready. We had a dirty room when we finally got one. Staff was disgustingly rude about the credit use and basically said they don’t honor Expedia perks. Room had leftover food in it. Transport to excursions didn’t show up on time. It was an absolute nightmare. I have been to 3-4 different resorts in Punta Cana and this is by far the worst. Do yourself a favor and choose any other place.

There is never enough space to eat in the restaurants. Getting around the hotel is a problem with transportation on the golf carts, there are very few. Some of the employees, not all of them seem as if they do not want to help you or provide what you need. We paid a Premium Level package and it did not seem like a premium service. To start with, the drink we ordered was told they did not have it, we had to call the managers to help us since they did have it. I think that if I pay for a Level package it is to have first class service and not have any problems or ichus. I want to highlight an employee who did his best to ensure our stay and excellent treatment. Olimer Martinez was attentive and always with a good smile.

The property was very beautiful. Many lush, well kept gardens and water features, as well as great pool and beach access. The food was decent with many options to choose. The downside was our room was a bit dated (but clean.) Housekeeping did leave thinks out in the corridors which made it a bit cluttered. Our AC was not the coolest but the ceiling fan helped a lot when we were in the room. Overall, this property was a good value for the money.

L’établissement est vraiment magnifique et impressionnant, c’est d’ailleurs pour cette raison que je le recommande malgré certains points négatifs. Lors de notre séjour, la mer était agitée : l’eau n’était pas turquoise comme sur les réseaux sociaux, avec beaucoup d’algues et de sargasses. La chambre était propre, spacieuse et agréable, avec une literie très confortable. Concernant la restauration, il y a du choix mais la qualité reste moyenne, ce qui peut décevoir si l’on est exigeant sur ce point. Autre point négatif : la “guerre des transats”. Certains touristes donnent des pourboires au personnel pour faire libérer des transats. Nous nous sommes fait retirer un transat et une serviette pendant une baignade, et avons été témoins de ce genre de situation à plusieurs reprises. Les activités existent mais sont peu visibles : si l’on ne consulte pas régulièrement le planning, on peut facilement passer à côté. Attention en cas de problème de santé : la consultation du médecin de l’hôtel est facturée 215 €. Il est préférable de consulter à l’extérieur (~100 €). Une pharmacie se trouve juste à côté de l’hôtel ; sinon les médicaments sont livrés depuis loin avec une facture élevée (189€)). Le personnel est globalement très gentil. Property was large and while walkable it was a long, hot walk. They have trains and carts to help with transportation but at least half the time they do not stop at the designated stops even if they have plenty of room.

Hotel es hermoso con un concepto abierto. Muchas actividades para niños y familia. El parque de agua es super para los niños. Las areas de la piscina y playa comodas son grandes y relajantes. La comida esta bien en unos restaurantes mejor que en otros. La atencion generalmente bien algunos empleados solo huscan el $ y vender upgrade cuando llegas para level y VIP y las reservaciones para los restaurantes de cena lo ponen bien dificil. Aun con level no podiamos resevar y nuestro mayordomo no ayudo. Jose de recepcion tiene grandes modales y nos ayudo en todo y gracias a el pudimos diafrutar la estadia. El primer dia fue mala experiencia por esas cosas pero ya despues resolvimos gracias a el. No me gusta que en la playa no se puede descansar porque te venden algo cada un segundo y son bien insistentes. Los precios de todas las actividades es bien caro y el spa tambien. Muy elevados. Room service super bueno y el hotel es bello. La playa tiene algas.

The property is amazing and huge. Yes you can walk around but the also have trolley and smaller cars to drive you around the resort. The staff and entertainment team are absolutely fabulous. They had so many kids activities and night life. The food was ok . 2nd time at this resort and will be back!

The property was gorgeous and the staff were always courteous and attentive. We were upgraded to The Level because of the main pool closure, and it was wonderful. It is an experience I would pay for should we go back. The food quality was lacking a bit, and while there was plenty of it, I only enjoyed one of our dinners out of the five days. The beaches are gorgeous and well-cared for and maintained, but don’t expect clear blue water. The resort areas in general are not located in the pristine waters, but we have traveled south to the national parks areas, which are stunning. The property was gorgeous and the staff were always courteous and attentive. We were upgraded to The Level because of the main pool closure, and it was wonderful. It is an experience I would pay for should we go back. The food quality was lacking a bit, and while there was plenty of it, I only enjoyed one of our dinners out of the five days. The beaches are gorgeous and well-cared for and maintained, but don’t expect clear blue water. The resort areas in general are not located in the pristine waters, but we have traveled south to the national parks areas, which are stunning. Overall, we would definitely go back to Punta Cana and this resort.

When I tried to reserve dinner for the next 3 nights, they only gave me a restaurant option for one night unless I wanted to pay extra. They will tell you only one restaurant has open reservations that night and it’s one that will charge you extra. Entertainment is very limited and not announced when you check in.

We had a pleasant and relaxing vacation. The resort and its grounds are beautiful and very clean. Upon arrival, Meraly Reyes was very friendly and helped us with the check-in process. She also assisted us with dinner reservations at a couple of restaurants and with any questions we had during our stay. Eddy from Otium Tours also helped us with excursions. Overall, we had a great time, although I wish the buffet had more options and included more traditional Dominican food. The restaurants also need more time slots for reservations. Additionally, they could have more trains or golf carts available to transport us from the beach/pool to the lobby/restaurants and back.

There is never enough space to eat in the restaurants. Getting around the hotel is a problem with transportation on the golf carts, there are very few. Some of the employees, not all of them seem as if they do not want to help you or provide what you need. We paid a Premium Level package and it did not seem like a premium service. To start with, the drink we ordered was told they did not have it, we had to call the managers to help us since they did have it. I think that if I pay for a Level package it is to have first class service and not have any problems or ichus. I want to highlight an employee who did his best to ensure our stay and excellent treatment. Olimer Martinez was attentive and always with a good smile.

Spa prices are not what the online page said. The coupons Expedia said we would be getting were not true, they were different in how you can use them and also not the amount of 30$. We didn't get the wine bottle also even when we asked for it in the lobby. The jacuzzi didn't worked at first, but the repaired it next day. Food in buffet is ok, food in restaurants is very good, good alcohol drinks only in lobby bar. Service good, pools good, beach good. Very clean hotel. Low score only because of the Spa annoyance.

We stayed at the Amelia for eight days in August. The beach was horrible. It was all dirty full of seaweed. It didn’t look like a Caribbean ocean should look like you cannot make reservations for any of their four restaurants prior to getting there the day of they’re already closed for reservations And when you tried the very next day, they were all booked, but the only two restaurants that were available where the hibachi or the steakhouse because you had to pay for them they were not included in the all-inclusive package, which they don’t tell you till you get there and it was $58 ahead. The buffets were nice. The food was not all that great. They didn’t have anything for kids to eat who would not have or carry in a Caribbean please plantains or french fries or chicken nuggets. The lobby was beautiful. The entertainment was great. The bathrooms were clean. The rooms were a bit outdated TV didn’t work for the first two days and the people we traveled with had to move twice definitely not a 4.7 star hotel like Expedia put out. I would not stay there or recommended if you are going on a family vacation and definitely have children and if you would like me the loves the ocean that was the ocean to go into

Entertainment was great. Food was okay. However,the featured/specialty restaurants should be more available with regards to reservations for guests. At many other all inclusive resorts you are able to dine in at least one specialty restaurant each night rather than just 1 night.

I visited this location back in 2019 and back then i would have recommended this place to everyone. Now a lot was left to be desired. On our check in day, we had to take our own luggage back to the room even after had received our room key. It was not very walkable and very little cart services. The drinks were very artificially flavored and don't even get me started on the food, breakfast and lunch were ok, but dinner was horrible. It was impossible to get reservations to the specialty dinners and the rest of the options did not have good tasting food. The only good things were how friendly the staff was, they were amazing. The hotel was kept very clean at all times.

As a pleasant surprise upon arrival, we received a complimentary room upgrade for being Expedia members, which was a fantastic way to start our trip. The food quality varied.
