Sandman Hotel Red Deer

Hotel was clean and the staff were excellent

Our hotel room was absolutely disgusting. There was mold on the window sill and in the bathroom, the floors looked like they had not been vacuumed. I was disgusted to see that the mattress covers are not removable as well, which must mean they don’t get washed. I stayed with my 6 year old who couldn’t fall asleep because there were zero blackout curtains (they look like they had been ripped off the track). We went to the pool, which had clumps of hair floating around all over the place and looked like it had not been cleaned in weeks. My daughter mysteriously got an eye infection the next day. And lastly, I had to throw myself against the door to get it locked…there was something wrong with the way it closed. It was a first and definitely our last experience with a Sandman hotel.

Room was freshly renovated but the bathroom probably could you a refresh as well

Had a great stay, room was nice and staff were top notch, the hot tub was HOT but the jets weren’t working at the time.
