Hotel looks dark and old from the outside but inside is clean. They are renovating some rooms and elevator is still not working yet. Handra, the front desk person, was so nice and helpful. She also gave us list of restaurants to try around the area. There are tons to restaurants in this neighborhood.

Property is not how it is currently advertised. The whole building is a construction site, with plastic coverings over doors and halls. The carpet is covered with protective plastic. They are doing a major overhaul but have not advertised the fact. My room was in very poor condition - paint chipping off the wall, odd fastenings in the bathroom holding the mirror up. My window looked out onto rubbish below.

Check in process was good and room was clean and comfortable. Some bugs did come out of the drain when we first turned the shower on though. The hotel is also under renovation so there was no pool and half the hallway was taped off. We went to ask for forks in the lobby and they tried to charge us which seemed weird to me, but other than that the stay was pleasant enough.

Liked the flooring, not carpet. Staff was very accommodating and helpful. Building is being renovated and elevator is being installed. So we had to carry our luggage to the 3rd floor, which was a bit inconvenient.

two of the lamps and the alarmclock in my room didn't work, I think the breaker might have tripped. There's a bit of mess from their renovation, and their elevator is being modernized but overall it was decent place at a decent price.

I cannot believe why Expedia even has this hotel on their site: there is a stop work order on the door for non-permitted renovations, compromised fire walls and poly-ed containment areas where PPE is required! we couldn't get the heat to work in our room where it was freezing so the clerk moved us to another room, but guess what? the toilet had NOT been flushed from the previous guest (and therefore not cleaned) either! The taps leaked, the shower could not be adjusted to get any spray, very low water pressure and stained ceilings. Do not stay here.

Handra checked us in. She was friendly and informative. She helped with unloading and taking our luggage up to our room. She was very knowledgeable about the Hotel and takes pride in her position. Our room was both spacious and clean. We will be recommending the Cassandra Hotel to both family and friends visiting Vancouver.

The room was very clean and comfortable, and the staff was wonderful. We were going to cancel reservations in order to be closer to the ferry terminal, but we like the staff so much that we decided just to keep our reservation here Handra helped us with directions wherever we needed to go.

Plz never go to this hotel. Filthy They threat you when u cancel booking. Not child friendly. Home less people rome around in parking. Urine smell comes in parking. Just like ghost house. Very very third class hotel.

There was absolutely nothing nice about this place. 650.00 for 3 nights for this dump. We were asked to leave because we complained about the smell and cleanliness. The pictures on Expedia were deceptive. I will never use Expedia again. I am sure you won’t post this.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, The blankets and pillows smell bad and are dirty. There was an unpleasant odor in the room. There are only 2 sheets of paper in the box. I will not come back here a second time.

I had room 318 with a spectacular mountain view. Able to walk to T&T or Safeway supermarkets and SkyTrain at Joyce Station. Near bus stop to Metropolis Mall. Handra on reception gave a warm welcome and friendly and helpful. Room was large and bed was comfy.

The people at the front desk will call you ahead of time to inquire about your arrival time. I think the desk is only open a few hours per day. The hotel needs a lot of work and they are in the process of renovating the rooms. The rooms are clean. You can hear the road noise as the windows are thin. Close to everything. So overall was happy.

Handra was absolutely an amazing host and front desk receptionist. She was so friendly and welcoming and showed us everything we needed to know. She even gave us recommendations for local restaurants. The room was so clean and comfortable. Highly recommend this place and we hope to come back!

The front desk closed at 10:30 and unfortunately our flight was delayed so we couldn’t get there before it closed. We had communication with them how to access the codes for getting in the lobby and our room. Sure was glad the codes worked! The elevator was non functioning so we had to carry all our luggage up three flights. Bed mattress was way past its useful time. Uncomfortable pillows also! Was very happy to leave in the morning, will NOT repeat at this hotel. Had seen such great reviews on this hotel…clearly were written by people that weren’t guests.

We had the best experience in this hotel. The front desk staff were both nice. Handra was very accomodating and helpful. They even gave us wine on our last night. The room was clean. Best bang for the buck! Highly recommend. Will stay here again.

BE ADVISED DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. They are scammers I booked & paid for a room through Expedia & when i got there to check in they said my visa card wouldn't work for their refundable damage deposit. They refused to even run my card & kept insisting i give them a different credit card. They told me that even though I paid for the room they wouldn't give it to me until I gave them a different credit card. So I left & wasn't able to get refunded for my room that I didn't even step foot in. The place looked pretty rundown anyways & I was only going to stay there because of the cheap price, lesson learned.

The hotel was terrible - we travel from Yukon Territories. Through Expedia paid for out hotel and got to the hotel and it was closed no staff around and noticed a email ( had no phone service to let them know we where out of town ( even Expedia ( viral agent ) got to Vancouver - and couldn’t check called their number many times and had no choice but to sleep in our vehicle now we lost $496.00 no refund and Cassandra hotel never even called us back tried getting a hold of Expedia only viral agent worst holiday ever and will never use This travel again

I really enjoyed my stay here at the Cassandra hotel. I had some issues with my credit card, but the staff was very nice, helpful and accommodating. Although you can tell that the building is old everything and the room itself was very clean and comfortable. There are some renovations and repairs going on, but they weren't disturbing in any way. It was also pretty easy to get to the skytrain or bus station for public transportation, only a few minutes walk. Overall I'm very happy and would saty here again ☺️

This hotel is an unassuming gem. The staff is amazing! I witnessed many kindnesses and saw how they handled some difficult patrons. Handra is so great and showed us around. The construction is on goung, but renovations are needed in spots. The staff was so lovely and invested in our comfort. The location is a bit outside the downtown, but the Sky Train is close and cheap. The neighborhood is busy, but the area is safe, clean, and fulled with retaurants of all varieties. The Philippine restaurant up the road is lined up at all hours (delicious too!). This stay was fantastic!!!

I felt that Handra and Shamalee were both kind and attentive and are excellent staff. I however found the outside of the hotel shabby and the inside in some sort of transition renovation and smelled of paint and fumes. My bedroom smelled of paint fumes and some other chemicals. I would also get your elevator in working order . While I enjoy exercise going up and down three flights of stairs 20 - 30 times in a day excessive. The lack of a restaurant also hurts the hotel fortunately there are a ton of unique restaurant experiences nearby. I don’t feel I got my monies worth for what I payed and I have paid far less for executive class hotels.

The front desk staffs are very nice and helpful. She guided us to the room and explained clearly about the hotel. Although it’s not included breakfast, but there are free coffee, fruits and cookies treats in the morning. Outlook of the hotel building is old but inside the room is quite new and clean.
