Lovely location on Granville Island. But be warned parking on the weekend is tricky and the hotel spots fill up fast. The hotel staff were excellent in accommodating my car I t he 5 min only zone though.

A few things that need improvement: I believe that the restaurant opens too late for ppl who are trying to get to tours & an early start. Also, many hotels offer free fresh coffee in the lobby. I think you should consider this. Also, the coffee in the room was really bitter. Other than that, your property was lovely!

This is my second visit to the Grandville Island Hotel. The first was pre-COVID back in 2019. It was so wonderful to see that everything was the same. The accommodations are well appointed with beautiful views from just about any room. Service continues to be on-point with excellence. Parking is a bit tricky AT the hotel specifically but there is ample "public parking" all around with pricing comparable (or sometimes cheaper) that the daily hotel rate. The property is "pet friendly" so we traveled with our dog. It was wonderfully surprising to find a cute little park area right next door to hotel. It's a big hill with several walking paths, lots of grassy areas, and connects to the walkway along the docks. So walking your dog regularly is not only convenient but relaxing and scenic. The hotel is the perfect place to stay for a weekend getaway with so many things - shops, artist stalls, markets, restaurants, breweries - all within walking distance. Your also just a short drive to downtown Vancouver. We're looking forward to returning to Grandville Island and this lovely hotel.

I’m really surprised by the exceptional reviews. This hotel is in major need of a renovation. The rooms are small and quite old. The gym leaves a lot to be desired: there are two very old treadmills, a bike, a rower and an elliptical. There are minimal weights and the hot tub is not inviting. The location is convenient and I enjoyed being steps from the Granville market but I would not choose to stay here again.

We stayed at the Granville Island hotel and paid a premium price for nothing better than any economy based hotel. You could not get a coffee in the restaurant unless you did the luncheon buffet, no complimentary services, limited guest parking, The rooms are extremely small and when they a balcony room it too is so tiny I challenge anybody to sit on it. We will not be going back

Location is great if you plan to visit many things on Granville Island. Getting on and off the island by car can be a pain and transit is not close, so much easier to walk or bike. The room was nice but small for 2 adults and a child. We had a double room, and the beds did not really work for 2. I recommend the king bed and sofa bed instead for a family. Parking was convenient, but filled up when the hotel was full. Fitness center was just ok, but probably not a priority for this hotel. Staff was great; very welcoming and friendly with dogs.

Amazing hotel with various dining options and activities in the immediate vicinity. I drove onto the small island and they had a decent amount of designated parking in front of the hotel, for i think $20/day. The room was clean and comfortable. Everything is walkable, or a cute and short water taxi ride to other parts of Vancouver like Downtown, False Creek, etc. Excellent for a 1 night stay for anniversary, birthday or celebration. Granville Island is extremely busy in the summer so plan accordingly for arrival/departure/parking.

It was okay but older. A mouse ran across the floor in my room but they switched me to another room within 5 minutes of my call to front desk, so the service was fantastic. And it was clean, so the mouse seemed out of place.

The not so good: room was not cleaned very thoroughly (food under the table from previous guest); the lady at check in and check out was not friendly; hotel is in need of a bit of love (for example new shower curtains, desk chair had pieces missing out of it, etc); restaurant in the hotel made mistakes on all 3 of our breakfasts and we did not find it was good value for what you got. The good: we used a free night through hotels for this stay and very glad we did not pay the full price for it; staff at restaurant were friendly; location was super great for exploring Granville.

Loved the location, the staff were great checking in. The bathroom sink wasn’t clean. A drop of my skin coloured foundation dropped into it and I used a Kleenex to wipe it but it felt sticky and wouldn’t be wiped away just adhered to the sink. This happens at home when my sink is not cleaned from the toothpaste grunge. They need to use magic erasers in the sink. Made me wonder about the rest of the bathroom unfortunately. A tea kettle for boiling water would have also been nice.

Hotel was clean but old. The room looks like it hasn’t been updated since the 80s. The carpet looks very old. Luckily the bathroom was updated with its fittings. The amenities were average. No complimentary tea available, only an espresso machine. The lighting was also outdated. There was no master switch so one had to switch on/off all lights individually. The staff was nice. The restaurant selection was so-so. Nothing to write home about.

Beautiful location with a truly wonderful patio for dining and friendly staff - but very disappointed that everything closes at 9:30 pm. No possibility to enjoy a nightcap or snack of any kind at night and the island has no other quiet options available. The room is clean and the bed is very comfortable. The aircon unit is one of those standing on-the-floor units that make a lot of noise - had to turn it right off to get to sleep. These few negatives were balanced out by the great daytime location: we had a breakfast bagel at the market and took an Aquabus to reach English Bay - then walked the full length of the sea wall around Stanley Park and back through town to the hotel. Around 10km - pure pleasure.

Location can’t be beat. You are literally on Granville Island. Great check-in. Lovely hotel. A bit dated but comfortable. We felt very safe. Quiet hotel. We ate at the restaurant there (Dockside Grill) and it was perfect. Beautiful view of the harbour from where we were seated. Hotel was comfortable. Not much of a view (2nd floor, of the parking lot) but for one night, we were okay with it. Friendly reception. Cleaning staff smiled or said hello. We just had one issue. Requested extra pillows and had to follow up twice. Not sure if they were short staffed.

Amazing stay full of hospitality and incredible customer experience. Staff was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Room was amazing. Great views and very easy to take water taxi to get to so many places without sitting in traffic. Will return!

Arrived at approx 6:20pm. Was given an Accessible room at check-in which was realized when went to assigned room. Went back to front desk and explained I did not want room designed for Accessibility. Check in clerk was condescending and not very helpful. Was then given another standard room (as reservation was meant to be when booked). Why check-in person did not give this room at outset when I arrived is very questionable and a blemish. This is why rating given is poor/terrible.

The property is older and some of design choices in the room are odd. The rooms are also really small. BUT location is great - restaurant was lovely to sit outside and have brunch - great walking to to the market and around the harbor. We really enjoyed our quick stay.

This hotel was nicer than I expected inside. The restaurant had an amazing view and I wished we had tried it out. Other people in our group said the food there was delicious. The location of course is amazing with full access to Granvillle Island right outside.

Beautiful location. Enjoyed using a bike and enjoying the spectacular scenery along the seawall. Fun to explore the various shops and markets.Dockside restaurant food and service was excellent as well.

Fabulous hotel in a great spot. The only small thing to note was the service at breakfast was awful, they just couldn't get the orders right despite very few people in the restaurant. Apart from that everything was fab. Oh and the bar closed far too early in the evenings, 9.30 !

Perfect location for walking and great access to transit and aqua bus. Hotel feels tired and needs an update especially for the price. Staff are always friendly. Restaurant needs more vegan options.
