Got a great price at this quirky hotel. Comfortable stay. Staff friendly. Car park a little cramped.

Enjoyed the room and the restaurant. Staff were kind and welcoming and cleaning staff were amazing. It would have been better if the spa was working as the pool was a little cold.

Second time staying at the Naumi again an excellent experience. Well located, friendly staff, excellent bar!

Great experience. Hotel was in a great location and a fun place to stay. We really enjoyed it! You also get access to the hot tub and pool shared with the neighboring apartments which was an added bonus we didn’t know about when we booked it.

The lobby (including cocktail bar) and style of the hotel is amazing. The room was better than expected, considering some reviews. It wasn’t amazing but it was clean, comfortable, good bathroom. Although, if you have trouble sleeping with noise don’t book a hotel on Cuba street - this wasn’t the quietest.

Beautiful hotel, bar and restaurant. Location excellent if youre wanting top cafes and shops at easy access. Only complaint is that the room very small unfortunately. Great service. I would stay again..thanks

Nice hotel. Right in busy downtown. Parking was the main issue. Had to park on the street (which was a very busy area) the first night. They have a very small parking garage that only accommodates a few vehicles. There is a nice bar and restaurant onsite. Staff were very nice and check-in process was good. Room nice - very small. Good location for walking around town.

Naumi is a wonderful classy establishment with a sense of style. The staff are attentive and caring. The room was clean and neat and the resetting of the room was done promptly and with no fuss. The restaurant has delicious and inventive meals and drinks at a reasonable price. The location is nice and central with good access to other restaurants, retail and supermarkets.

The whole place was very clean including the room, bathrooms and restaurant. If you want a funky vibe this is the place for you. While not uber lux, the hotel is well appointed and the staff are great. I would highly recommend if you want a central Wellington that’s reasonably priced.

This hotel is really well located, but always seems like it needs a deep clean. Skirting boards thick with dust, used tea bags thrown out window, around shower needed a scrub, frayed curtains.

Price and location were perfect as I came off a late cook straight ferry so perfect for my stop over. Staff excellent what let them down was the cleaning the bathroom was not great

The room was not the one we had booked, in spite of our VIP status allowing us an upgrade (if available) we instead got a downgrade. At first glance the hotel appears trendy, nice, and welcoming - but then you start to notice the details. The carpet did not appear as if it had been vacuumed, there was a thick layer of dust all along the baseboards, headboard and beverage station. We selected this property partly because it offered parking, however the lot is so small it is almost always full. They shouldn’t advertise it unless it can be offered to a majority of their customers. To cap it all off, the last two hours of our stay was in darkness because the electric in our room stopped working. The response from the front desk was “oh, that happens sometimes, we will get housekeeping to look at it when the tend the room” - meaning they were not coming to sort it while we were still in the room.

I recently stayed at Naumi Studio Wellington and had a mixed experience. While the staff were friendly and helpful, the room itself left much to be desired. *Room Issues:* - *Dust and Mess*: The room was dusty, and there was rubbish under the bed, which was disappointing given the hotel's otherwise stylish decor. - *View*: The view from the window wasn't exactly scenic - all I could see were the bins. - *Furniture*: The mattress was a bit slippery, and the door wouldn't fully open because the bed was awkwardly positioned. - *Bathroom*: The bathroom was cramped, and I could sit on the toilet without hitting my knees on the sink, which wasn't exactly comfortable. *Additional Concerns:* - The staff cleaning cupboard next to my room was a bit noisy, especially since the door slammed consistently. *Positives:* - *Location*: Naumi Studio Wellington has a great location, close to Cuba Street and other local attractions. - *Bar Area*: The bar area, Lola Rouge, is stylish and inviting, perfect for a night out or a relaxing drink. Overall, while Naumi Studio Wellington has some nice touches, the room issues and noise from the cleaning cupboard detracted from my stay. With a bit of attention to detail and room rearrangement, this hotel could truly shine.

I liked how clean it was how welcoming the staff were

The staff are lovely and very accommodating and the bar area and breakfast was great, but the rooms are very small and a bit shabby. If you are going to paint everything black and dark colours, staff should realise that every speck of dust is going to show up. I stayed on my own for two nights in a room with a queen bed and it was suffocatingly small, so I had to share the bed with my bag. There was a tiny shower with a tatty shower curtain that stuck to me while I was trying to have a shower - not what I expected for the money I paid. Moved to a twin room when my daughter arrived which was marginally better.

It was a good location. Small and not all the facilities of a hotel (eg Good soundproofing, air con) but if you're not in the hotel for long, i.e, out all day, it doesn't matter!

Love the decor but we had to leave early without a refund as we couldn't sleep in the room. We had a studio room overlooking Cuba St. We stayed in early December and the weather wasn't particularly hot, but there is something about the rooms on that side of the building that makes them incredibly warm, even overnight. There is no aircon in the rooms so the only option is to keep the windows open at night. With the windows open, the blinds flap around letting noise and light from the street in all night (along with the clattering noise of the blinds blowing in the wind). So it was difficult to sleep even with earplugs in and after 2 nights we had to move to another hotel to be able to sleep. So I would strongly recommend not staying in the Cuba street side rooms during the warmer months, they might be fine in winter. It was a bit disappointing that this issue wasn't raised to us at check in - we were simply asked to 'pick a room' from the floor plan and when I asked what was different about the rooms I was told nothing. It may be that rooms on the non-Cuba St side might be better.

Good location, rooms would benefit from air conditioning

Great location, very central. Room was tiny, beds were made poorly also, no airflow and the noise was terrible! Could hear people walking and banging around upstairs and the street noise. Two sleepless nights cut our third day in Wellington very short. Probably won’t stay here again unfortunately.

The studio rooms are tiny, noise was really disappointing 6am could hear people above banging on ceiling outside room trollerys etc noise was not pleasant couldn’t sleep.

The staff were outstanding, and very accommodating. But take note of the size of the rooms, we were in the Zyn room, extremely small. Hard for two people with one suitcase each to move around. Very hot in room, no AC. Noisy at night due to location near Cuba ST, but that could also be a good thing depending on what you are into. Location is perfect for us. The hotel gym is very small, light dumbbell set with some cardio machines. Very basic. The hotel looks great and feels nice and grand.

The rooms are hip, with a cool design throughout, with poor soundproofing. Surfaces are clean in the bathroom. Checkin is done by yourself via terminal which works fine. The bar and restaurant is exquisitely designed, as the rest of the hotel and rooms. The reason for the major let down for our stay, is the fact that this (studio) hotel has possible THE WORST soundproofed door (or lack thereof) into the room I've ever stayed in. It is insane how well we could here even the slightest whisper from the hallway (or in this case the the noisy staff banging every single door, closet and trolley). Spoke to reception which passed on the message and the talking was kept to a minimum between 08:00-09:00 day two. This is a shame, as this is in a GREAT location, quiet streets outside (even on New Years) and walking distance to everything you need in Wellington. If they can get proper doors and sealing around, I would give this a five star rating.

This hotel looks great in the advertising, but the rooms are tiny, seriously tiny and have no air conditioning. Further there was a disco underneath that pumped out mouse so loud it shook the room until 1.30am. Unless you are deaf and don't suffer from claustrophobia do NOT stay in this hotel.

I’ve stayed at Naumi many times because of its location, easy proximity to great restaurants, nightlife etc Rooms are compact but always well presented & the inspiring decor is another bonus Staff are friendly & helpful & the new self-check in kiosk lets you choose from available rooms… Dunlop Tce side is quieter than Cuba St

This property has gone backwards in a big way. The new self check in system is slow, unhelpful when you have no idea what the rooms look like, but the worst part is having to pay $50 per night bond. What is in the room that is worth this fee? There is no mini bar because no you have to carry your allocation to your room like an in-mate. The bond also takes three days to refund! Why not add this self check in system to the booking system that we have already spent an hour doing? The staff were pleasant but unable to provide answers to questions that managers would answer, the whole weekend was run by very young and inexperienced staff. Three out of my four nights stay the room key card wouldn't work so I had to back track to reception to get new cards, unsympathetic staff, on the third night I was ready to find a new hotel to stay in. The Naumi has a reputation of quirky and different decal, this decal is in need or repairs as it now comes across as tacky and old. The room is poorly utilised and the blinds don't cover the windows properly plus the bathroom doors don't open fully because they hit the bed. I managed to get one days room keeping in the four days I stayed, not sure why the other days were not done but rather annoying as you need to use a spare towel to wipe the floor from the poorly sealed shower. I wouldn't recommend staying here for all the above reasons and the location is way too loud if you want sleep on a Friday and Saturday night before 3am.

Overall our stay at this hotel was average. It’s a lovely hotel right in Cuba St however the communication and service at the hotel is poor. We had two rooms for three night but they had failed to inform us about a two hour water outage one morning. The breakfast buffet was shocking and was only told when we arrived at 9am that it finished at 9.30am. The service in the bar was also shocking, waiting over half an hour for our drinks to arrive as they had forgotten about them. Definitely won’t be back as there are so many other hotel options around with far better service.

Sasha at reception was particularly lovely, moving us to a better room when my daughter was unsettled and generally making us feel welcome.

The staff was super friendly. I didn’t require cleaning service and I kept the sign on the door for three days so they would know that I didn’t need the service. Each day the same cleaning staff would ask if I needed anything like extra towels or soap etc. As a solo traveler it felt good to know that someone cared enough to check with me. For some strange reason it made me feel safe traveling solo. So from the reception staff to the wonderful lady who was assigned to my room, because of them I give this hotel a 10 on a scale of 1-10. I loved the colorful lobby, hallways and rooms. The hotel is centrally located on Cuba Street but once in the hotel you don’t hear a sound from the street. Great stay!

The checkin / self new system was very annoying & quite unnecessary for pre paid accommodation, the rooms needed cleaning & had only been service cleaned & the bed mattress kept moving off the base . We have stayed at Naumi for years & it’s the worst stay! The staff who where on in the bar on tues 16th April where terrible & had to be approached in order to purchase a drink . Clearly something has changed with the management of the hotel . The only positive is the location on Cuba street. I don’t think we will return .

Ideal location for restaurants - we didn't have to walk more than 100metres for very good quality breakfast or especially dinner at any time during our stay. Most of central Wellington well within awalking distance from the hotel.

Absolutely best location for visitors to Wellington. Located on Cuba street and in the CBD, near the Harbour and spoiled for shopping and food choices. Close to bus stops and a nice walk to the cable car or museum. Weta is a 20 minute bus ride away and airport is similar by taxi. Room was clean, nicely decorated, and perfect for our stay. Staff were simply amazing with any questions on check in, calling a taxi (5min wait!) and the food…exceptional. All in all, if you are new or visiting Wellington this should be your first and only booking!

Always a great stay right in the centre of Cuba street. Wonderful staff and just a perfect simple but elegant room and property.

This is a great spot, with affordable rooms! Big group of us stayed here over the weekend all in our own rooms. The rooms are small but sufficient, clean if not a bit worn out in the carpets! Breakfast was great, the staff were ok, got a big groan from one of the breakfast staff after asking where I could find a glass to drink from, and the breakfast was pretty low considering there was still 45mij left. Otherwise great spread and very tasty, For the price paid it was very convenient and I’ll absolutely be back again.

For some reason we did not know that there was a Naumi Studio and also a Naumi Hotel. We booked the studio and the room was really small even though the place as a whole is quite an experience. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant and even if service has room for improvement the food was fabulous. Breakfast is also a must. The location of the hotel is very good and I would recommend the place bearing in mind the size of the room in the Studio.

Really good selection of foods, hot or cold for breakfast. Unique styling made the hotel interesting. We enjoyed staying here.

The “Studios” do not have A/C and the room got very hot in the afternoon. There is no place to sit except on the bed and the “closet” area already has an ironing board, an iron and a plackcard telling you about the laundry, so there wasn’t enough room for a carry-on there. The breakfast was great, and all the dining room staff are wonderful and welcoming.
