Bit disappointing. Upgraded when we got to hotel to gold level so we could get in room earlier. Bath robes were missing from closet, took 40 mins to be delivered. Food in gold lounge and mallard lounge disappointing. Pool was closed for repairs, was told other poo would be open and it was also closed for maintenance. Overall customer service poor and very very slow

The valet parking was absolutely terrible. It took almost 40 minutes just to get my car back. People who arrived after us had already received their cars and left, while we were still waiting. Even after asking multiple times, all we kept hearing was “it’s coming.” Honestly, I don’t understand why I should be paying for valet service like this. I’ve used valet parking many times before, but this was by far the worst experience.

This was such a beautiful hotel! The room was spacious, the spa tranquil, the pools and hot tubs relaxing and the Mallard lounge had one of the best bowls of clam chowder I’ve ever had. They had an efficient shuttle that ran every 10-15 min that brought you to the village where you could shop and eat and enjoy a beautiful day. Walk out the back of the hotel and you are steps from the Blackcomb Gondola. The problem I had with the hotel though was even asking the concierge about any of these details. Each time we went up to ask about restaurant recommendations, gondola inquiries and even simple purchase info for Fairmont items, they were useless and stand offish. My friend and I were even in our robes after a spa treatment and were asked “are you guests here?” I pointed to us wearing our robes and got “that sometimes doesn’t mean anything” How rude! I would do more research on other hotels that offer similar amenities next time before going back.

The blankets smelled like stinky feet. I had to wake up in the middle of night and find the extra blanket as it was impossible to sleep it was so unbearable. Since it was 5am I mentioned it to the staff in the morning and what we heard was ah we are so sorry! The shower drain was not properly working constantly overflowing the water. Never going back to this hotel. Please share it with them. Hopefully it gets ti their management.

I have been looking forward to staying here for several years. Unfortunately, it was not as I had anticipated. We arrived late on Thursday night/Friday morning. When we checked in I asked the front desk about 24 hour room service that is not a thing. I asked if I could get a glass of milk sent up and he said he would arrange that for me. It never arrived. The room service menu dish description s do not match what we ordered. They didn’t serve cream with the coffee. The windows in our room were filthy and our room was not vacuumed once on 4 days. I am really disappointed. The staff we encountered however were very nice and friendly.

This property seems too hyped with the name of Fairmont. The entrance carpets are sticky and dirty and seem to be very old. Room was average, with the biggest giveaway was that there was no plug to use the kettle. We had to plug the kettle in the washroom to get hot water. Service was average. I ordered room service but got it very late and on top of it got the opposite of what I ordered. Ordered warm item when I was served frozen item. Would never stay here again and won’t recommend it either. Did not get justice for the money charged.

The hotel itself is beautiful - the room was also very clean. Disappointed in the service a little, my husband asked whether anything could be done as we were celebrating a babymoon and were told a treat would be in the room at check in - it was not. He tried again and was told it would be there the next day at 2pm, nothing. Ended up getting it the day we were checking out and that after my husband made 3-4 attempts for it. I asked for a robe for my daughter and that too, took a day and I had to ask 3 different staff members for it. We dined at the Mallard Lounge, ordered 4 food items off the menu, but only got 2/4 after a long wait - left disappointed and decided to just get back to the hotel room and ordered milk and cookies which was also a 40 minute wait. Overall the attention and service was just a miss this weekend, so I don’t know if I would stay here again or put in a little extra and stay at the Four Seasons next time.

The hotel could probably improve their check in process. We needed to wait 45 minutes because there was only one person in the front desk doing the check in at 4 PM on a Tuesday in December. It would really help to be able to expedite the process especially when one has traveled so many hours to get to Whistler. Otherwise all other services were superb.

Never disappointed with our stay at the FCW! We tried the Gold experience this time and everything from check-in/check-out and the lounge upgrades were outstanding. Customer service is exceptional. There were problems with getting items up to the room...sometimes several calls were required, but eventually things got sorted out.

Ordered in room breakfast but waited like 2 hours, called them to follow up then found out my order was forgotten and it was time to check out though. Had to cancel the order, then the waitress showed up with our breakfast said it is on the house. It is a nice gesture to show their caring about customer’s feelings.

We had a great stay at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler. We needed to switch rooms because my wife is sensitive to chemical smells, and our first room had clearly been freshly cleaned. The manager was very accommodating and moved us to an upgraded room without any hassle. The customer service was excellent from start to finish. The grounds are also decorated for Christmas right now, and they look beautiful. Overall, a very positive experience.

Fabulous hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. Everyone knew me and called me by name. They all remembered I was in town for the Whistler Half Marathon and asked me about my race and excursions I was on. Either they have phenomenal memories or they keep notes on a common database. Either way it creates a wonderful guest experience. The ambiance in the restaurants was wonderful. The food was absolutely fabulous. It’s a short walk to the village center and the shuttle service is convenient if you don’t want to walk. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and hope to return again.

This is the perfect ski in and out hotel in Whistler with the most ideal location in Blackbomb. There is also a ski valet and storage. It gets very busy at most times of the year. Especially winter and summer. The lobby is like a train station with a lot of traffic people coming and going and many that just come to hang out in the mallard lounge. That can be annoying at times as the elevators can get quite full and it doesn’t seem very intimate. For the most part, we enjoyed our trip, but due to it being very busy, the staff are not as attentive as you would expect for a five star hotel. This is reflected at the pool, the restaurants and front desk. The food is very expensive, and there is a daily tax and resort fee that the hotel charges which works out to be approximately $150 on top of your nightly rate. We had suggested our friend to stay at the hotel, since it was his first time in Whistler and for him he was not expecting it to be so isolated. He preferred to be in whistler Village itself so for those who have not been please note that the hotel is located in blackcomb which is a 10 to 15 minute walk from Whistler Village. However the hotel has a free shuttle that runs every 15 minutes between the hotel and Whistler Village. The pool and Jacuzzi are a great for after a full day of skiing but again very busy and thus very dirty floors and water. They either need more cleaning stuff or need to limit the number of guests allowed at the pool perhaps timeslots?

The Fairmont Chateau Whistler is one of our favorite world hotels. Whistler is so beautiful and the hotel is magical so convenient for ski on and off the mountains and an easy walking distance to Whistler. Can't wait to go again next year!!

Gorgeous and comfortable property. Very peaceful sense. The perk of receiving car rides thanks to the resort fee was great, especially in a town with no Uber. The staff is so accommodating and pleasant. Absolutely love it here and will return.

This hotel is absolutely wonderful! The hotel grounds are stunning and offer so many things to do all around the hotel. The pool, spa, restaurants, and bar are top notch and really give you a spa resort experience! All of the food that we ate at the hotel restaurants and bar were so delicious that we often choose them over other locations in Whistler village. The village area, gondolas, trails, lakes, shoppers, etc is right here! In addition to all of the things above, one of the very BEST things about this hotel experience was the amazing service, advice/recommendations, and extra services that the staff provided to our family. The helped us add another nights stay, late checkout, recommendations for biking, hiking, food, trails, discounts on rentals, and was so wonderful to my son with extra cookie treats when he was looking for something sweet. Not only can I not wait to come back to Whistler, but I look forward to staying here again! This hotel is wonderful!

We loved our stay at the Fairmont Château in Whistler for many reasons. Number one, the friendly staff, from the moment we pulled into the beautiful building: the bellhops, to the front desk staff, to everyone we encountered throughout our three nights stay, we were greeted with smiles and “is there anything else you need?” Our room was clean, beds were very comfortable, and a nice view. We had a two queen deluxe slopeside view. It was facing the front of the hotel on the sixth floor and so quiet. We had the all you can eat buffet at the Wildflower and it was worth the money with all the choices you had. I liked the omelette bar and the healthy smoothie options. Portobello was one of our favorites of all the places we ate on the whole trip. The BBQ dinner, brisket was delicious, and they have amazing pastries starting in the mornings. We would love to come back.

The lounge was great with the live music and our waitress was amazing. Check in was a bit of a wait as only two people were at the counter. This was surprising on a Saturday. Once at the counter, service was great. Getting an order in in the pool area was slow as there were only 1-2 people to assist. We likely would have had another drink. The staff was still very good once they got to you.

The restaurant service was significantly below expectations. The staff appeared disorganized, and we had to wait a long time before even being acknowledged by the servers. Additionally, when our orders were finally taken, there was a delay in receiving our food. When the meals did arrive, they were not up to the standard I would expect from a high-end hotel like the Fairmont. The quality of the food was also disappointing. Several dishes were not fresh, and the flavors were underwhelming. For the price point, I expected much better dining options and overall service. Given the reputation of the Fairmont brand and the cost associated with dining at the hotel, this experience was very frustrating. I wanted to bring this to your attention in hopes that you can pass this feedback on to the property and help ensure future guests do not have a similar experience.

The hotel itself was great, clean, and comfortable. The staff was super helpful and friendly which made our stay that much better. Having the complementary shuttle and car service made it easy to hitch a ride into the village when needed. The dining options within the hotel was not the greatest -- the food in the Grill Room and Wildflower restaurants were not great and the prices did not reflect the food quality. Portabello was ok but the wait times were too long in the morning. The Mallard was the best option in the hotel, particularly for drinks and lighter food -- they also had live music which was fantastic. Would definitely stay at the Fairmont again, but would look elsewhere for dining options.
