Excellent breakfast but expensive if you don’t purchase it with your room. Nice rooms and well appointed.

Reception and bar area is very nice and looks like it was recently upgraded. The rooms are very dated and need the same attention. Car park was big and there were plenty of spaces. Food was good.

When we checked in we were not told that the air conditioning was broken in our three rooms. There was a slip in each room offering us a free drink at the bar in recompense, but this was probably the hottest day of the year and I would estimate that our rooms were 30C which is not possible to sleep in. There was a fan in each but this provided no real relief. After a bit of bargaining at reception we were offered a free breakfast as well, which we accepted as there seemed no option. The reception staff were actually very nice and clearly embarrassed by the poor state of the hotel, but really it's not acceptable to charge for rooms that are unusable, and in which sleep is barely possible.
