Although quite expensive, this hotel is worth it. We received first class treatment from the moment we got there. The pool area is exquisite, and the staff takes care of everything. The food at the restaurant was amazing, and dining pool side is the best thing about our trip. Breakfast is so good and included in your stay. And the location is great, the Piazetta is a six minute walk. We spent several days in Rome before we got to Capri, and it was so hot and crowded there, so this hotel on Capri felt like heaven. Make sure to arrange transfer from the ferry to the hotel. And if you have lots of luggage pay to have them transfer it to the hotel, since the hotel is in a non-traffic area. You have to walk from the taxi drop off to the hotel. It’s about 10 minutes.

I cannot emphasize enough how much we enjoyed our stay at Hotel Mamela. The rooms are MASSIVE, newly renovated, and the pool is SPECTACULAR. Even more impressive though is the outstanding service this hotel provides. The concierge went above and beyond to help us make reservations and honestly we would have missed our ferry and therefore our flight back home without their help in the morning. The service alone I think should make this hotel be ranked 5 stars. Thank you for making our stay in capri unforgettable!!

Be prepared for 7min walk to the hotel on arrival no cars access. Arrival pleasant welcoming. Unfortunately 1st room had to change due to foul drainage smell from the shower. Recommend to add air freshener to rooms. Second room upgrade slightly better but still smell. Food was good standard great sea view got to be best hotel with best view. Convenient to most restaurants and town centre.

Das wasser in der Dusche konnte nur durch das Personal abfliessen da es verstopfungen hatte. Wir hatten von 4 Nächten 3 sehr laute Nächte da irgendwelche Möbel oder ähnliches in der Nacht verschoben wurden und dies meldeten wir auch zweimal. Aber ansosten ist das Hotel super schön, der Pool bringt eine schöne aussicht mit und das Personal ist freundlich. Das Frühstück war jetzt nicht besonders gut.

We loved our 3 night stay at Hotel Mamela. The staff was very friendly and accommodating when we have a few extra hours on our last day, we hung at the pool and were still given all the same luxuries. Breakfast was delicious, they have eggs, meat, fruit and a plethora of fresh pastries. The view from breakfast was incredible. We stayed in a sea view room that was very clean and had blackout curtains. Only consideration was that our room was warm at night even with some air conditioning, and it was on the smaller side. The hotel is located in a quiet off the beaten path area of Capri so it was silent at night but only a 5 min walk to the main square. We walked everywhere but one restaurant. The hotel helped also us get day of reservations for dinner and navigate the island. Their luggage porter service was incredibly helpful as someone took our bags at the port and delivered them to our room. We could not have gotten them there ourselves without much difficulty (I read about this in reviews but didn’t understand until I got there). The pool was beautiful, quiet and never full. This hotel was incredible and worth the price.

Very Poor service! First of all, we arrived and we weren’t met with a friendly greeting or a fresh bottle of water for that matter. They didn’t bother to give us any hotel info.. ie) pool, gym etc…The staff never greeted of when we walked by the lobby. We had a beautiful spacious room with a small terrace and loungers, but there was loud banging coming from the floor above us. We were really frustrated with the water pressure from the shower… it was literally trickling water…. I couldn’t get the shampoo out of my hair. I mentioned this issue to the front desk and the young man at the desk said he would leave a note for the manager..When we checked out they wanted they charges us for extra water, because we were only allowed 2 bottles per day .. so I mentioned the shower issue and the other person at the desk said that he didn’t see any note and told me to email the hotel about my issues… I did and have not received a response yet. Our breakfast was included with our room rate, but there wasn’t a great or fresh selection, and that was also lacking service. This type of treatment and service is not acceptable for Capri, at a beautiful and expensive hotel. It’s a shame because the property is beautiful. Our friends were staying close by at Minerva, and we went to visit for lunch and aperitif . We were met by the staff and owners with a very warm welcome, and we weren’t even their guests. This hotel lacked service and hospitality big time.. not acceptable for the price

The front desk staff including Valentina & Christina were helpful & professional. The pool area was outstanding & views of sea were breathtaking. The only thing that we as Americans are spoiled was the ac in our room. We asked for a fan which definitely helped moving the ac around. It was a hotel you should consider in your searches.

The hotel was excellent. Front desk ladies had attitude . Very cold did not communicate well. I loved the pool the breakfast . I would have given 5 star but the front desk ladies made me feel not welcomed and did not communicate well . Very proud of themselves. I overall recommend the hotel

Staff were wonderful, property very nice. Make sure you arrange for bags to be brought to property. It’s a little walk from Taxi stand, easy walk…but cobblestone and luggage made it a little bit of a challenge. Restaurant next door excellent Villa Margherita. Great stay!

The perfect stay at a great hotel at a reasonable for Capri price. Relaxed but attentive service with a gorgeous view from the pool and the room. Walkable to the main piazza with shops and dining.
