My experience at Hotel Berchielli was extremely disappointing, especially regarding how they handled my car. When I handed over my vehicle for valet parking, they never informed me that it wouldn't be parked at the hotel. Only after checking my GPS and seeing that my car was being driven outside the city of Florence for about an hour did I realize something was wrong. When I complained at the reception, they made a call, and the driver immediately parked the car in an open lot about 5.5 km away from the hotel—as soon as he realized I was tracking it. The staff then told me they would bring it back later and park it in the hotel’s garage, but I refused. I demanded my keys immediately, as I did not want anyone else driving my car again. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable and highly unprofessional for a hotel that claims to offer quality service. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who values honesty and integrity!

My wife and i stayed here one night only due to a flight cancellation. The staff were very kind to make us feel welcome, made an excellent recommendation for dinner, and packed us a wonderful bag breakfast due to our having to leave at 4am. The bar was very enjoyable for a cocktail before going out, bartender skillful and charming. We stayed here by accident but next time i am in Florence i will stay here.

I want to start this review with the positives. We drove a car from Milan to Florence. We got to the city center late and we were fighting through the throng of tourists one way streets and simply not knowing the area. It was intense. We got as close as we could to the hotel and parked the car. We told them where the car was they sent a porter to find the car and valet it for us. It was such good service and this is how I would describe the rest of the service during our stay. The hotel location is right on the Arno River which is the center of town so everything was walkable and easy. The hotel has an old world charm as well andthat shows in the finishes in the hotel. The rooms need updating. The worst part of this hotel for us was the Air conditioning. We were on the top floor and it was hot. The AC turned on but did not work properly. It might as well have not turned on at all. We asked them to come fix it and they tried but nothing really helped. We asked them for fans and they brought us two fans like 20 minutes but because of this I wouldn't stay there again. We were sweltering. This was our honeymoon trip and everywhere else was booked. This for us was the worst hotel we stayed at due to the AC.

We were genuinely overwhelmed by our beautiful room. It overlooked the river with two huge windows. The staff were very kind and helpful and went out of their way to make our experience as enjoyable as possible. Breakfast was super tasty with everything on offer to suit all palates. This hotel was wonderful and the location was perfect for visiting anywhere in Florence with all the attractions and designer shops within very easy walking distance. It has a lovely roof terrace and attractive foyer for eating, drinking and coffees. We didn’t want to leave.

Amazing hotel in every way. Located near the Ponte Vecchio, right on river and easy walk to everything. The hotel is beautifully decorated with small bar and nice breakfast including American pot of coffee. But the best part was the outstanding service. They upgraded our room and and we overlooked the river and a bottle of prosecco was sitting for us at check in.

Excellent property to stay in while you are in Florence. It backs up to the river and is in walking distance to all the sights of interest. The rooms was large and the breakfast was very nice. There are nice places to eat near by. You can look out your window in the morning and watch the people rowing on the river and walk on the bridges at night. It was very quite and very clean.

Have stayed here multiple times. The staff is super friendly and helpful - the front desk, breakfast room and bar staff! All are great. Awesome location right along the Arno and short walking distances to all the top spots. Still has the old world charm. Very clean, daily room cleaning. Laundry service great too. No English language TV news channels, so if that is important to you, you won't get it here. For me, the break is a good thing. Highly recommend.

Boutique, quaint hotel that in an excellent central location convenient for walking to key sights. 5 min walk from the Uffizi. Hotel and rooms are super clean. Nice sheets and beds. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast while included was not the best (better pastries to be had elsewhere) but staff were friendly and the coffee was good. Overall happy with our stay.

We had THE MOST AMAZING view of the river and Ponte Vecchio. The windows opened wide for the fresh air. The room was beautiful and very classic Florence decor. Bathroom was a bit tight but lovely. Our breakfast was included and delicious. The location is excellent. Central in the old town. We loved it!

Pros: The hotel was located right by the water and was within walking distance to all the major landmarks in Florence. I loved the decor of the lobby, outdoor patio and my room. The bed was comfortable and the AC was great for the middle of August in Italy! Cons: the hose to the shower head was broken so water sprayed a bit in unexpected directions, but overall this didn’t matter too much. The complimentary croissants and espresso in the morning were pretty bad. They provided shampoo but no conditioner in my bathroom.

This property is picture pretty. Breakfast was wonderful and bed was very comfortable. Water pressure was very poor for showering. No air conditioning and too much street noise to open the window. Only stayed two nights.

The location is great. Easily walkable around the city. Breakfast was great, as well. The AC in our room however, was lacking. Our room was very hot. The bed was also very very hard. My husband had trouble sleeping. Overall, I’d stay here again…but I would have asked that maintenance take a look at the AC.

The river-view from the 5th floor cannot be beat; absolutely lovely. The rooms are large, well appointed, and the bathroom was very nice. The bed was a 6/10 for comfort, but the pillows were a 1/10, just awful. It’s very hot in the rooms without the windows open, but very loud while open. The lobby is hot at all times and smells VERY strong of perfume. The breakfast was wonderful.

We had a VERY SLIGHT snafu when we first got to our room (roll-away for 3rd person wasn't already in room like the desk thought). They quickly apologized, & ended up upgrading us to a larger room to accommodate the 3rd bed even better. I had booked a river view room, but our view of the Ponte Vecchio was amazing! Staff was very accommodating & helpful with our many questions. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Room was right on the Arno river. Half a block from Pointe Verde bridge! Didn't appreciate the horribly loud truck right below our window that started pumping waste from the hotel. Started at midnight and lasted an hour!! Very good breakfast.

This hotel is in a great location. You can walk everywhere and the easily stop back into the hotel for a rest if needed. The staff from the front desk, to doormen, to the cleaning staff and the breakfast staff were all so accommodating and helpful. I would easily stay here again. My only suggestion for the hotel is you didn't have any nice glasses in the room. If someone wants to share a bottle of wine after a busy day, there was no glasses in the room to enjoy a glass of wine with. They should consider setting up a small bar area in each room - with glasses and a bucket for ice, wine opener,...

Beautiful hotel with spacious and clean rooms, high ceilings, terrific breakfast and most of all awesome staff. Dimitri and Barbara really pushed our stay to the next level with cheerful conversation and great dinner and shopping recommendations. We can’t wait to head back to the hotel for our next visit. We were upgraded to a suite and we loved it. Room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The absolute best breakfast is served daily. Cured meats, smoked salmon, fresh fruit, granola and cold cereal options, wide variety of pastries, eggs, sausage, assorted water and juices, cappuccino, American coffee. Lived breakfast. Location is beautiful and convenient to attractions. Would love to stay here again.

First we were told that we were upgraded for free to a room with a view of the River and of Ponte Vecchio. That was already a win!!! The view from the hotel room was so so beautiful. The staff were super friendly and polite and professional. The next best thing about the hotel is the buffet breakfast spread! Of all the hotels we stayed in Italy, this hotel had the best breakfast spread and the food was great quality. We especially enjoyed the variety of pastries that were nicer than those cafes outside. The staff also were very sweet to write our names on our coffees which impressed us on a different level. Room was clean and toilet was spacious. Just that the shower is located in a bathtub so might not be too accessible for some but it was fine for us. We greatly enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend.

Gorgeous Hotel. In a side street close to Ponte Vecchio, Uffizi Gallery. Stunning features throughout hotel. Comfy room with bottle of fizz waiting in our room. Room Service wasn't great but they dont really do room service, it was just what they had access to. Breakfast was terrific. Would stay again.
